United States Presidential Election In Oregon

Trump: Oregon leaders must clean out âbeehive of terrorists,â threatens to send in National Guard

The 2020 United States presidential election in Oregon was held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, as part of the 2020 United States presidential election in which all 50 states plus the District of Columbia participated.Oregon voters chose electors to represent them in the Electoral College via a popular vote, pitting the Republican Party‘s nominee, incumbent President Donald Trump, and running mate Vice PresidentMike Pence against Democratic Party nominee, former Vice President Joe Biden, and his running mate California Senator Kamala Harris. Oregon has seven electoral votes in the Electoral College. The state certified its election results on December 3.

Oregon, as with its fellow West Coast neighbors, continued its tradition of voting for the Democratic candidate this cycle, with Joe Biden winning the state by 16.1%, an increase from Hillary Clinton‘s 11% win in 2016. No Republican presidential candidate has won the state since Ronald Reagan of neighboring California in 1984. Biden flipped two counties Trump won in 2016: –home to the state capital of Salem, and Deschutes County–anchored by Bend. It was also the first time a Democrat won Deschutes since 1992, and only the fourth since 1952. Biden also became the first Democrat since Woodrow Wilson to win the presidency without winning Columbia County and Tillamook County. Biden also made history as the highest vote earner in Oregon history, with 1,340,383 votes.

Her Comments Come In The Same Hour That Acting Secretary Of Homeland Security Chad Wolf Landed In Portland

ALL THE PRESIDENTS MEN: Federal officers make arrests in downtown parks on July 11.

As top federal law enforcement officials arrived in Oregon on Thursday, Gov. Kate Brown accused President Donald Trump of deploying federal officers to Portland to crack down on protesters as a way to boost his flailing reelection prospects.

In an uncharacteristically harsh statement, Brown responded to Trump’s deployment of federal officers to quell Portland’s protests against police violence. Those officers sent one demonstrator to the hospital July 11 with a munition to the face.

“This political theater from President Trump has nothing to do with public safety,” Brown said. “The president is failing to lead this nation. Now he is deploying federal officers to patrol the streets of Portland in a blatant abuse of power by the federal government.”

Her comments come in the same hour that acting Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Wolf landed in Portland, according to KOIN News 6. This morning, Wolf refused a request from Mayor Ted Wheeler to withdraw his officers from Portland.

“The city of Portland has been under siege for 47 straight days by a violent mob while local political leaders refuse to restore order to protect their city,” Wolf said. “This siege can end if state and local officials decide to take appropriate action instead of refusing to enforce the law. DHS will not abdicate its solemn duty to protect federal facilities and those within them.”

Oregon Republican Party Falsely Calls Us Capitol Riot A False Flag Meant To Discredit President Trump

Three weeks after hundreds of people stormed the U.S. Capitol in a violent rampage that left one police officer and four rioters dead and led to more than 100 arrests of the pro-Trump rioters, the House delivered an article of impeachment to the Senate, charging the former president with inciting the mob.

In Oregon, the state Republican Party isnt just backing former president Donald Trump its official position falsely claims that the entire episode was a false flag operation staged to discredit the GOP and silence Trumps supporters.

Last week, the state party released a resolution passed by its executive committee that says the supposedly fake operation was meant to undermine Trump and give more power to President Biden, citing websites by John Solomon and the Trump-friendly Epoch Times.

The violence at the Capitol was a false flag operation designed to discredit President Trump, his supporters, and all conservative Republicans this provided the sham motivation to impeach President Trump in order to advance the Democratic goal of seizing total power, the resolution says.

The Jan. 19 resolution, which the Oregonian reported was approved by party officials rather than elected Republicans in the state, compares GOP lawmakers who voted for impeachment to Revolutionary War traitor Benedict Arnold.

Why Is Trump Sending Stormtroopers Into Portland

Look no further than the presidents favorite TV channel.

In one of the most alarming developments of Trumps presidency, dozens of federal agents in full camouflage seized protesters and threw them into unmarked cars, taking them to locations unknown without specifying a reason for arrest. It appears that at least some of the agents involved belonged to the US Customs and Border Protection , an organization that obviously has no business whatsoever conducted counterinsurgency tactics against peaceful American protesters in Portland, Oregon. Neither the mayor of Portland nor the governor of Oregon wanted them there in fact, they specifically requested that they leave. And now a U.S. Attorney for the State of Oregon is calling for an investigation into the arrests, even as the Acting head of Homeland Security, Chad Wolf, is vowing to ramp up these actions both in Portland and reportedly elsewhere.

So why is Trump doing it?

Many theories aboundnone of them entirely convincing on their own, but all of them deeply disturbing. One explanation is that its a trial run for future police state actions, partly to push the window of the possible, partly to desensitize the public to further abuses, and partly to see precisely what they can get away with and what Americans will tolerate.

And that more than anything else likely explains why the president is precipitating a constitutional crisis by sending stormtroopers into Portland.

Trump Campaign Considers Oregon For 2020 Election

President Donald Trumps 2020 re-election campaign may be looking to push resources into a very blue state next year.

Oregon has not voted for a Republican president since Ronald Reagan bested Walter Mondale in 1984. Nevertheless, Trumps 2020 team has the resources and apparently the inclination to make history once again. Pollster Tony Fabrizio gave CNN a Trump 2020 memo that suggested the campaign is looking to the map.

In the memo, Fabrizio claimed New Hampshire, New Mexico, and Nevada have become highly competitive, and Minnesota is one to watch in 2020. While Trump lost each of these states in 2016, Fabrizio seems to think they are on the verge of turning red.

Of all the possibilities, Oregon may be the most remote. A senior member of the Trump campaign told CNN that they may test the waters, but they are fully aware that Oregon is a long shot. Still, if we are a month out and a previous victory like Michigan is not possible, would be nice to know other states are options, he said.

Trump turned both Wisconsin and Michigan red in 2016, a development that contributed to a victory that shook the American Left. Oregon Republican Party Communications Director Kevin Hoar believes the tide is turning in his very blue state, saying:

This is not the Oregon way, she continued. Theyre welcome to visit, but they should be prepared for an icy reception from Oregon voters.

Tapper To Gop Lawmaker: What Has Happened To Republican Party

On Monday night, the Oregon Republican Party issued a formal condemnation of the 10 House Republicans who voted in favor of impeaching President Donald Trump for his role in inciting the violent insurrection at the US Capitol on January 6.

* Whereas history tells us that after George Washington appointed Major General Benedict Arnold to command West Point, Arnold conspired to surrender the fort to the British.”* “Whereas the ten Republican House members, by voting to impeach President Trump, repeated history by conspiring to surrender our nation to Leftist forces seeking to establish a dictatorship void of all cherished freedoms and liberties.”* “Whereas there is growing evidence that the violence at the Capitol was a ‘false flag’ operation designed to discredit President Trump, his supporters, and all conservative Republicans this provided the sham motivation to impeach President Trump in order to advance the Democrat goal of seizing total power, in a frightening parallel to the February 1933 burning of the German Reichstag.”“As the sun sets on 2020, remember that we’re never going back to the party of Romney, Flake, and McCain. The Republican Party is now, and forever will be, one for the working man and woman! God bless.”
