Trumps Limo Driver Of 25 Years Confirms Hes An Unrepentant Asshole

Denis Leary Speculates Why Donald Trump Often Slurs His Words

Bloomberg reports that Noel Cintron, the presidents personal driver for more than 25 years, has filed a lawsuit against the Trump Organization accusing his former boss of failing to compensate him for about 3,300 hours of overtime pay hes worked over the past six years. Cintron, who is a registered Republican, said in the complaint that he worked an average of 50 to 55 hours a week for Big Orange, but was never paid overtime for hours worked above 40 per week, as is legally required. According to the filing, Cintron was paid $62,700 in 2003 $68,000 in 2006 and $75,000 in 2010. Though if you thought Trump just got extra generous in 2010, you thought wrong!

The wage bump in 2010 came with a catch, Cintron said. He was induced to surrender his health insurance, saving Trump approximately $17,866 per year in premiums, according to the lawsuit.

Sign If You Agree: Donald Trump Is An Asshole

Donald Trump

As if the 2016 Republican presidential clown-car wasn’t crowded enough, real estate mogul and Birther fanatic Donald Trump is now a front-runner.

Donald Trump should never be elected dog-catcher, let alone President. And his campaign rhetoric has brought a really toxic element to the campaign season.

Its The Winning State And Not Just For The White House

Everyone in Washington knows Donald Trump cannot be re-elected unless he carries the state of Florida. Long-time political bellwether Ohio has definitively been replaced by the Sunshine State, which figures to be at the centre of the American political calculus for the next month.

But who figured that Florida would also be at the centre of the sports universe at the same time? Miami and Tampa both have big stakes in the pro baseball, hockey and basketball playoffs.

You could have made a lot of money betting before this short 60-game baseball season that the Miami Marlins would be in the playoffs, yet there they are after a second- place finish in their division. The Marlins, who won the World Series on the only two previous occasions when they have reached MLBs postseason, face the 2016 champion and homestanding Chicago Cubs in their first-round match-up.

Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay Rays dominated their division and rolled to the top seed in the American League.

Their first post-season action will come in Tampa against the Toronto Blue Jays. A preseason bet on the Rays wouldnt have paid off as handsomely as one on the Marlins, but few expected them to finish ahead of the New York Yankees. But they did, and it wasnt that close.

It was their first title since 2004 and the second championship in the teams history.

If you want to win, youre going to have to go through LeBron James, Butler told reporters. Youre going to get that same test over and over, until you pass.

It Takes Documentation To Establish That It Really Is That Bad

This is why the leaked 2005 tape matters. Its Trump talking about his own personal behavior. About particular women he has tried to fuck, or about a general practice of kissing women without waiting for their consent.

It is Trump establishing that no, really, there is a connection between what he talks about to a crowd of thousands and what he does with real individuals in front of him.

Of course, this isnt the first time that Trump has been accused of sexual assault and lewd behavior. But previous allegations have all been he said, she said. We know from media studies that, presented with conflicting accounts, people accept the account that confirms their prejudices and that this is especially potent when the issue is politicized. Its very easy to dismiss any allegation against Donald Trump as a motivated political attack, an exaggeration to prevent him from becoming president.

But documentation cuts through he said, she said from domestic violence, to police misconduct, to the personal behavior of Donald Trump and mitigates the power dynamics that lead people to believe only one side of that. Its notable that in the hours since the 2005 tape leaked, stories that had already been out there of unwanted kisses and worse have suddenly gotten a lot more public attention.

But for the moment, its enough to know that Donald Trump is, in fact, the person he always told you he was.

You knew damn well he was a snake before you took him in.

So What If President Trump Is A Jerk

A Commentary By Ted Rall

Saturday, January 20, 2018

President Trump is under fire and we’re all “shocked” that his s—hole mouth called the nations of Africa “s—holes,” helpfully comparing them to Norway to make sure nobody missed the point. To drive home just how angry people are about this , Trump’s comment overshadowed news that the government accidentally told the citizens of Hawaii they were about to get nuked. As George W. Bush would say, “that’s some weird s—.”

This is a big deal unless you’re reading this more than a few days after this writing, at which point Trump will have raised more hell with some new idiotic utterance that makes us forget about this one.

Speaking of hell raising — I managed to raise a few social media hackles recently when I posted the following: “I honestly don’t understand why people are so depressed about Trump. Policy-wise, he isn’t much different than Obama. Trump is truth in advertising: he is a jerk, our country acts like a jerk. No need for phony smiles, PC rhetoric.”

This led to a discussion comparing Trump not just to Obama, but to other American presidents. There were lots of great comments. Still, I was struck by something that few people seem to be aware of — America’s rich history of presidential contemptibility. Given how wicked smart my readers are, I was surprised to hear some of them refer favorably to Trump’s predecessors.

You name the president, I’ll name at least one unforgiveable sin.

Suing People For Saying He’s Rich

New York Times author Timothy O’Brien wrote that Trump “only” had 250 million dollars, so Trump sued him for five billion. Suing a writer for five billion dollars takes more piss out the legal system than the Supreme Court’s plumbing.

He also objected to legal documents from Deutsche bank valuing him at three quarters of a billion, and argued with Forbes magazine when they valued him at three billion. He pits his own delusions against every legal and financial fact available, but in his defense that is his only job skill. We’re not sure how insecure in your manhood you have to be to argue with ten-digit wealth, but we’re guessing Trump’s penis is a socket.

In March 1990 he threatened to sue a stock brokerage over an analyst who said the Taj Mahal casino hotel wouldn’t work out. The company proceeded to fire the broker and deny being influenced by Trump. Within a year the analyst was proven right and got three quarters of a million from the brokerage , making him the only person the casino made money for. As of 2011 Forbes values Trump at 200 million, while Trump claims fifteen times that much. We’re not going to take sides since we’d rather not be sued, so we’ll just point out that Forbes has not filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy four times.

Bill Maher Exposes Geraldo Rivera On Trump: Now You Are The Spin

The Real Time host grilled the Fox News pundit over his passionate support of President Trump. It didnt go well for Rivera.

HBO

There was a time, believe it or not, when Geraldo Rivera was considered an intrepid news reporter.

In the 1970s, Rivera took home a Peabody Award for his series of reports exposing the systemic abuse of disabled patients at Willowbrook State School in Staten Island. In 1983, he was the first network television newsperson to mention AIDS on-air.

But in the years since, between the Al Capone vault fiasco, his trash-TV show Geraldo, and his questionable work for Fox News, hes become something of a punchline.

Rivera, for instance, lied about being at the scene of a controversial friendly-fire incident during the War in Afghanistan in 2001 was kicked out of reporting in Iraq after he accidentally gave up U.S. military positions on-air in 2003 repeatedly blamed Trayvon Martins death on his wearing a hoodie and has emerged as a staunch defender of President Donald Trump.

And so, promoting a new book, Rivera sat down with Bill Maher on Real Time for a good ol-fashioned grilling.

You were one of the original crusading reporters and you care very much about your legacy being as a journalist, so I do have to ask: Why Fox News? queried Maher right off the bat.

Wow, said Maher. See, this is what I dont get: I remember thinking of you as a crusading reporter who was fighting against the spin. I feel like now you are the spin.

Whats the right balance for Sinema or any senator, really to strike between concern for the primary and concern for the general? It may depend on the partisanship of their state. The table below lists all the elected incumbent senators who have lost reelection since 2000 in either a primary or general election. Perhaps unsurprisingly, all the incumbents who lost primaries represented states that leaned toward their party . All the incumbents who lost reelection on the opposite partys home turf did so in the general.

*Partisan lean is the average margin difference between how a state or district votes and how the country votes overall. This version of partisan lean, meant to be used for congressional and gubernatorial elections, is calculated as 50 percent the state or districts lean relative to the nation in the most recent presidential election, 25 percent its relative lean in the second-most-recent presidential election and 25 percent a custom state-legislative lean. In this case, positive numbers are toward the senators party.

Trump University Trolls The Idea Of Education

Billboard calling Trump `idiot` roils New Jersey town

“Trump University” is proof that you can’t make words explode, no matter how violently you combine opposites. Donald Trump can lose money in a casino when he owns it. He doesn’t learn from his mistakes, he bankrupts or sues them, and the only thing he can teach people is that they shouldn’t have given him their money, a lesson his educational dialysis facility taught well.

It called itself “Trump University” despite a total lack of accreditation. A strip club could claim they were teaching anatomy with exactly the same legitimacy. It was legally forced to change its name by the New York State Department of Education, which stated, “Use of the word ‘university’ by your corporation is misleading and violates New York Education Law.” Even in New York, a city of shining spires to every kind of financial bullshit imaginable, it is illegal for Trump to claim that he can teach you anything.

You’d get the exact same level of education in his casinos. You’d get a better education by cashing your money into dollar bills and reading the serial numbers, because at least then you’d still have the money.

The New York attorney general has filed suit against the institute for $40 million, citing illegal business practices and numerous false promises. It’s true that anyone paying thousands of dollars to learn from public speakers hired by the star of Celebrity Apprentice urgently needs their money confiscated, but giving it to Trump is a Katamari of capitalist disaster.

Here Are The Top 10 Stupidest Things Trump Did As President

We’re tentatively starting to emerge from the four year-long national nightmare of Donald Trump’s presidency, but the reckoning of what the nation endured will take years to really understand. Trump was terrible in so many ways that it’s hard to catalog them all: His sociopathic lack of regard for others. His towering narcissism. His utter ease with lying. His cruelty and sadism. The glee he took in cheating and stomping on anything good and decent. His misogyny and racism. His love of encouraging violence, only equaled by his personal cowardice.

But of all the repulsive character traits in a man so wholly lacking in any redeemable qualities, perhaps the most perplexing to his opponents was Trump’s incredible stupidity. On one hand, it was maddening that a man so painfully dumb, a man who clearly could barely read even on those rare occasions when he deigned to wear glasses still had the low cunning necessary to take over the Republican Party and then the White House.

On the other hand, it was the one aspect of Trump’s personality that kept hope alive. Surely a man so stupid, his opponents believed, will one day blunder so badly he can’t be saved, even by his most powerful sycophants. That has proved to be the case as Trump fumbles his way through a failed coup, unable and unwilling to see that stealing the election from Joe Biden is a lost cause.

He then pointed at his head, and said, “I’m, like, a person who has a good you-know-what.”
