Tonights January 6 Hearing Will Show Donald Trump Lapping Up The Violence Like A Sociopathic Cat Lapping Milk

Over the course of seven hearings that began last month, the January 6 committeewhich is not a prosecutorial body but probably should behas shown beyond a shadow of a doubt that Donald Trump set the wheels in motion for a violent attack on the Capitol, in a brazen attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election and steal a second term in office. Thus far, those hearings have included new granular details of things we already knewlike that Trump and his cronies pressured state officials to throw out the election resultsand stunning revelations about things we didntlike that the president of the United States allegedly knowingly sent armed supporters to the Capitol and attempted to physically assault a Secret Service agent when he was told he couldnt join the mob. So, how does the committee wrap up its final scheduled prime-time broadcast, taking place Thursday at 8 p.m.? Apparently, by showing that Trump absolutely loved watching the violence unfold and could not get enough of it.

Saturday Night Live: James Austin Johnson Is New Donald Trump

Here

Saturday Night LiveNovember 7, 2021

Tonight, Saturday Night Livedecided to introduce a new version of Donald Trump James Austin Johnson has replaced Alec Baldwin in the role.

Ultimately, when we heard Jeanine Pirro introducing Trump in the sketch at the start of the show, we actually thought that it would be Baldwin who was coming out. Yet, in the wake of the tragedy on the set of Rust, that just didnt feel right.

Instead of relying on another big name to come in and play the former President, SNL went for an in-house approach. Johnson recently played Joe Biden and now, hes taken on Trump, as well. While the Alec impression was perhaps goofier, Johnson completely nailed the voice and the cadence. He actually sounded almost identical to Trump to the point that it was disarming.

What made this impersonation work so well was the 60-second timer, a new bit where Johnsons Trump rambles on incoherently while hitting a number of weird topics. This almost felt like a brief episode of ESPNs Pardon the Interruption but with conspiracy theories and headlines left and right. Eventually, he got back to the subject at hand , at least to a certain extent.

Ultimately, Trump isnt in the headlines as much as he once was, so were not sure how often well see him.

Hillary Clinton Jests At Melania Trump: Hows Your Summer Going’

While appearing on Andy Cohens Watch What Happens Live alongside her daughter to promote her own new TV program, Gutsy, Hillary Clinton took aim at several of her political adversaries, including former first lady Melania Trump.

During a section of the program, Mr Cohen fired at Ms Clinton a lightning round of questions where she was prompted to ask each person that Mr Cohen named one question.

So starting with Melania Trump. Whats your first question? the Bravo host asked his guest.

After a brief pause, Ms Clinton landed on asking Ms Trump, Hows your summer going? in an apparent reference to the FBI raid that descended on her and her husbands Palm Beach residence at the beginning of August that has since prompted the Department of Justice to conduct a criminal investigation over the classified materials uncovered during that search.

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger says he has no option but to defend his actions to certify Joe Bidens narrow victory against Donald Trump in the state in 2020.

We are all held accountable by the voters, the Republican said as he seeks a second term, noting that he hears from voters who backed Trumps effort to overturn the election and those aghast at the former presidents actions.

Elsewhere in the state, such as within the campaigns of Governor Brian Kemp and Senate nominee Herschel Walker, the pair stay relatively mum about the 2020 election or the man who lost it.

Biden Does Mocking Impression Of Republicans: They Aint Got No Shame

This is a ‘huge victory’ for Donald Trump: Attorney

President Joe Biden mocked Republicans for taking credit for the Inflation Reduction Act, Democrats recent bill meant to tackle climate change and reduce prescription drug prices.

Democrats passed the bill last month through a process called budget reconciliation, which allowed it to pass on a party-line vote since they only have 50 Senate seat, while Vice President Kamala Harris broke the tie.

In the remarks, delivered while speaking at a Democratic National Committee summer meeting held in Maryland, Mr Biden proceeded to mock Republicans for touting the bills benefits.

I see them out there, and now were going to build this new bridge here, were all for it, and by the way this new road, and by the way were going to have this new internet, he said. I love em, man. They aint got no shame.

What Is Trump’s Lawsuit Against The New York Attorney General

In January 2022, Trump canceled a press conference he had planned to hold in Florida on the anniversary of the January 6 attack on the Capitol.

In a statement released, Trump stated that he would rather air his issues at a rally scheduled for a later date.

“In light of the total bias and dishonesty of the January 6th Unselect Committee of Democrats, two failed Republicans, and the Fake News Media,” Trump wrote.

He added, “I am canceling the January 6th Press Conference at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday, and instead will discuss many of those important topics at my rally on Saturday, January 15th, in Arizona.”

The event would have been Trump’s second press conference since leaving office.

At 12.47pm ET, another statement from the former president was shared on by the Right Side Broadcasting Network.

“To watch Biden speaking is very hurtful to many people,” he wrote.

“He acts like he’s aggrieved, but we’re the ones who were aggrieved and America is suffering because of it.”

Trump had also filed a lawsuit against New York Attorney General Letitia James.

The lawsuit alleges, “Letitia James is guided solely by political animus and a desire to harass, intimidate and retaliate against a private citizen who she views as a political opponent.”

Trump’s attorney, Alina Habba, added, “By filing this lawsuit, we intend to not only hold her accountable for her blatant constitutional violations but to stop her bitter crusade to punish her political opponent in its tracks.”

Michael Cohen Accuses Doj Of Tiptoeing Around Donald As If He Was King

Michael Cohen, a former lawyer and fixer for Donald Trump who has since become one of his fiercest critics, believes that it wont be long before the ex-president is indicted by the Department of Justice for the materials seized from his Mar-a-Lago residence.

I think that there is going to be an indictment, and relatively soon, Mr Cohen said Thursday while speaking on MSNBC’s The Reidout. I believe there will also be congressional hearings with Donald in the hot seat, you know, either he’ll come in willingly, which you know I don’t think he will, or via subpoena.

The former lawyer for Mr Trump told host Joy Reid that he believes the real questions they have to be asking right now is, you know, ‘Where are the documents that were in these empty top-secret files that were found at Mar-a-Lago?’

I mean, that’s really the big question, and who did Donald give them to or show them to?

At one point in the interview, Mr Cohen seemed to express frustration with the pace at which the DoJ was handling Mr Trumps alleged criminal activities, claiming that the federal agency had been tiptoeing around the one-term president as though he were a supreme leader or monarch.

When host Ms Reid expressed her opinion that she viewed Mr Trump as untouchable, Mr Cohen pushed back and said he didnt believe that would be the case this time.

I dont agree with you in the fact that hes not going to be held accountable for this, Mr Cohen said. This is too big at this point in time.

Department Of Justice And Trump Legal Team To File List Of Special Master Candidates

Jimmy Fallon as Donald Trump Addresses Melania Speech Controversy

A Friday deadline has been imposed for the Trump legal team and the Department of Justice to jointly file a list of possible candidates who could serve as a special master over the materials seized by the FBI from the former presidents Mar-a-Lago estate in August.

This week, a US district judge, appointed by Donald Trump, awarded the ex-presidents request for a third-party to review documents from the raid and filter through items that they believe should be kept from prosecutors, either because of attorney-client privilege or executive privilege.

The ruling temporarily prevents agents from reviewing the seized records as part of their criminal investigation.

At the same time that the pair of legal teams are drafting a list of hypothetical third-party candidates, the Department of Justice on Thursday has asked the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals to reverse the Trump-appointed district judges order.

Officer Beaten During Jan 6 Riot Says Pennsylvania Troopers Who Posed With Trump Can Go F*** All The Way Off’

After a picture began circulating online that showed former President Donald Trump posing with two dozen or more Pennsylvania state troopers last weekend, some of the officers who fought to protect the Capitol on 6 January – and nearly died doing so – have some harsh words for their brothers in uniform.

Thats unacceptable. It alienates a lot of people, said US Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn in an interview with the HuffPost this week. During the Capitol riot, Mr Dunn was beaten and subjected to racial threats.

Taking a formal picture at a rally where hes literally attacking the FBI and the DOJ, your brothers and sisters in law enforcement, by the way thats a slap in the face, he added.

Michael Fanone, a former Washington police officer who also suffered severe health setbacks in his attempts to protect democracy on the day of the violent insurrection, including a heart attack and traumatic brain injury, offered up a sharper rebuke of the photo.

Professionally? Its unprofessional. Its improper, he said. Personally? Those two or three dozen Pennsylvania state troopers, from the bottom of my heart, can go f*** all the way off.

Will Trump Endorse In The Gop Primary For Governor

Trump also arrives amid swirling speculation about whether hell get further involved in Pennsylvanias gubernatorial primary, in which several candidates have sought his support.

Trump has issued a scathing anti-endorsement against one candidate, former U.S. Attorney Bill McSwain, but has not picked a favorite among the rest of the field, and its unclear if he will.

The link for sending a message through Facebook is here: m.me/FoxNews.

Fox did not note the deadline for submitting questions. However, its likely that the sooner you can submit them the better, since the town hall airs tonight.

The virtual town hall will take place live in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. Bret Baier and Marth MacCallum will moderate the town hall.

Roads near the National Mall have been closed in anticipation of the event, NBC Washington reported. The Lincoln Memorial is closed today from 6 a.m. on, and the Vietnam and Korean War memorials are closed starting at 12 p.m. Eastern. Major roadways nearby will also be closed and everything will reopen at 12 a.m. Eastern.

I think we hit the right tone at Scranton, so were going to shoot for that right kind of tone again, he told People.

Trump will be answering questions from 7:15-8:45 p.m. Eastern tonight.

Biden Attacks Trump Maga Republicans As A Threat To Democracy In Blistering Speech

How could the Mar-a-Lago probe impact November’s midterm elections?

WASHINGTON President Joe Biden accused former President Donald Trump and his supporters of promoting an extreme ideology that threatens democracy in rare prime-time remarks Thursday as he stepped up attacks on conservatives ahead of the midterm elections.

Too much of whats happening in our country today is not normal. Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic, Biden said in the speech from the Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia.

He accused so-called MAGA Republicans, a reference to Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan, of refusing to recognize free and fair elections, increasingly talking about violence in response to actions they dont like, and of being determined to thwart “the will of the people.”

“MAGA Republicans have made their choice. They embrace anger. They thrive on chaos. They live not in the light of truth but in the shadow of lies,” Biden said.

Ahead of the remarks, a senior administration official insisted that it was not a speech about a particular politician, or even about a particular political party.” Biden said he didn’t believe the ideology he was referring to represented that of most Republicans, although it has been embraced by a number of elected Republican officials.

“For a long time, weve reassured ourselves that American democracy is guaranteed. But it is not. We have to defend it. Protect it. Stand up for it. Each and every one of us,” Biden said.
