Arctic sea ice is setting record levels. But no, it’s not getting bigger. It’s . Arctic sea ice reaches its minimum each September. The 10 lowest ice minimums have all been recorded since 2007.
Until recently, Antarctic sea ice has moderately grown for decades. And yes, it did set some record monthly highs a couple of years ago. But this Trump quote comes from the beginning of 2018 in an interview with Piers Morgan. At this time, Trump should have known that Antarctic sea ice had just shrunk to a record low.
We don’t know of any credible source claiming the ice caps would have disappeared by now. We doubt Donald does either.

Promotion Of Conspiracy Theories
Before and throughout his presidency, Trump has promoted numerous conspiracy theories, including Obama birtherism, the Clinton Body Count theory, QAnon, and alleged Ukrainian interference in U.S. elections. In October 2020, Trump retweeted a QAnon follower who asserted that Osama bin Laden was still alive, a body double had been killed in his place, and that “Biden and Obama may have had SEAL Team Six killed.”
During and since the 2020 presidential election, Trump has promoted various conspiracy theories for his defeat including the “dead voter” conspiracy theory, and without providing any evidence he has created other conspiracy theories such as that “some states allowed voters to turn in ballots after Election Day that vote-counting machines were rigged to favor Mr Biden and even that the FBI, the Justice Department and the federal court system were complicit in an attempt to cover up election fraud.”

What’s the truth?
Both climate change and global warming have been in use for ages. Both still exist.
Global warming refers to the planet heating up caused by carbon dioxide and other greenhouses gases trapping heat by forming a blanket around the world. These gases build up in the atmosphere mainly due to humans burning fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas, and cutting down forests.
Climate change is broader. It also covers the impacts of this warming such as sea level rises and more severe droughts, floods and storms.
It’s hard to identify which planet Trump is referring to. But it can’t be Earth. Because since the late 1800s the average surface temperature has risen with most of that warming happening in the past 35 years.

Among the eight who replied, all in the second week of January, after the storming of the Capitol, some persist in supporting Trump others have turned against him still others have lost faith in the whole political system. You Know Im Like A Smart Person Uh Huh
Im starting to suspect that Donald Trump may not have been right when he said, You know, Im like a smart person. The evidence continues to mount that he is far from smart so far, in fact, that he may not be capable of carrying out his duties as president.
There is, for example, the story of how Trump met with the pastors of two major Presbyterian churches in New York. I did very, very well with evangelicals in the polls, he bragged. When the pastors told Trump they werent evangelicals, he demanded to know, What are you then? They told him they were mainline Presbyterians. But youre all Christians? he asked. Yes, they had to assure him, Presbyterians are Christians. The kicker: Trump himself is Presbyterian.
Or the story of how Trump asked the editors of the Economist whether they had ever heard of the phrase priming the pump. Yes, they assured him, they had. I havent heard it, Trump continued. I mean, I just I came up with it a couple of days ago, and I thought it was good. The phrase has been in widespread use since at least the 1930s.

Throughout his career, Trump has sought media attention, with a “lovehate” relationship with the press. Trump began promoting himself in the press in the 1970s. Fox News anchor Bret Baier and former House speaker Paul Ryan have characterized Trump as a “troll” who makes controversial statements to see people’s “heads explode.”
In the 2016 campaign, Trump benefited from a record amount of free media coverage, elevating his standing in the Republican primaries.New York Times writer Amy Chozick wrote in 2018 that Trump’s media dominance, which enthralls the public and creates “can’t miss” reality television-type coverage, was politically beneficial for him.
As a candidate and as president, Trump frequently accused the press of bias, calling it the “fake news media” and “the enemy of the people.” In 2018, journalist Lesley Stahl recounted Trump’s saying he intentionally demeaned and discredited the media “so when you write negative stories about me no one will believe you.”
As president, Trump deployed the legal system to intimidate the press. In early 2020, the Trump campaign sued The New York Times, The Washington Post, and CNN for alleged defamation in opinion pieces about Russian election interference. Legal experts said that the lawsuits lacked merit and were not likely to succeed. By March 2021, the lawsuits against The New York Times and CNN had been dismissed.

She loves to talk, hates to fly and wants to make it clear she takes no responsibility for the state of US politics
Be grateful you didnt sit next to Fran Lebowitz on the plane from New York to Melbourne. The trip was the longest flight she had taken, and therefore the longest time she managed to go without a cigarette. When I ask if it is her first time in Australia, she says: That makes it sound as if theres going to be a second time. She surprised herself by not being taken off the flight in handcuffs for assaulting fellow passengers or smoking in the toilets.

She got through the flight without being arrested by chewing lots of gum and being able to smoke during a brief stop in LA.
My level of rage, always high, is now in fever pitch all the time.

The vast majority of climate scientists agree that humans are causing the recent trend of rapid global warming. We’re releasing climate-warming gases like carbon dioxide into the atmosphere primarily by burning fossil fuels.
We can thank Swedish chemist Svante Arrhenius for alerting science to human-induced global warming.
