What Is President Trump’s Approval Rating With The Military

Why Has Bidens Approval Rating Fallen

Associated Press poll shows that President Trump has a high job approval rating among veterans

As such, Bidens approval rating might not bounce back just yet given how volatile the situation is in Afghanistan, but at the same time there is reason to believe it eventually will. Thats because polls conducted amid a high-profile event often show large shifts in opinion that then fade over time. Weve also seen some reversion to the mean for recent presidents approval ratings after their ratings fell. Early in his presidency, Donald Trump fired then-FBI Director James Comey amid ongoing investigations of his administration for Russian interference in the 2016 election and then revealed classified intel to Russian officials in a meeting at the White House the next day. In the aftermath of these events, Trumps approval rating fell from about 42 percent on May 9 to 38 percent in early June. But his approval rating then inched back up to around 40 percent later that month.2

In the United States, presidential job approval ratings were first conducted by George Gallup to gauge public support for the president of the United States during their term. An approval rating is a percentage determined by polling which indicates the percentage of respondents to an opinion poll who approve of a particular person or program. Typically, an approval rating is given to a politician based on responses to a poll in which a sample of people are asked whether they approve or disapprove of that particular political figure. A question might ask: “Do you approve or disapprove of the way that the current president is handling their job as president?”

Like most surveys that measure opinions, individual poll results may be inaccurate. Many unscientific approval rating systems exist that show inaccurate statistics. Examples that self select, such as online questions are of this type however, the aggregate approval rating is generally accepted by statisticians, as a statistically valid indicator of the comparative changes in the popular United States mood regarding a president.

Congressional Approval Satisfaction With Nation’s Governance Remain Low

The poll also finds 27% of Americans approving and 69% disapproving of the job Congress is doing. These figures have been steady since June but are down from 36% approval in March.

More broadly, Gallup has tracked Americans’ satisfaction with the way the U.S. is being governed annually since 2001. The latest reading finds that 30% of U.S. adults are satisfied with the nation’s governance. Since 2010, satisfaction has consistently registered below 40% it was last above 50% in 2003.

Days From The Election Trump’s Disapproval Rating Is The Same As The Last 2 One

As the election approaches, President Donald Trump’s disapproval rating is on par with the last two one-term presidentsformer Presidents George H.W. Bush and Jimmy Carter.

With 50 days until the election, the latest disapproval rating for Trump based on Gallup polling stands at 55 percent. In early September 1992, Bush’s disapproval rating stood at 55 percent as did Carter’s in September 1980. Both incumbents went on to lose their reelection bids less than two months later.

Comparatively, former President Barack Obama had a disapproval rating 11 percentage points lower, at 44 percent, in September of 2012 ahead of his reelection. Former President George W. Bush had a similar disapproval rating of 45 percent at the same point in 2004, while former President Bill Clinton had a disapproval rating of just 31 percent.

Notably, other polling organizations show different disapproval ratings for Trump. The current FiveThirtyEight average shows the president with a disapproval rating of about 52.5 percent compared with 43.1 percent who approve. Conservative firm Rasmussen Reports, which the president has often touted publicly, shows 51 percent of Americans approving of the president while just 48 percent disapprove. The most recent Fox News poll shows the opposite percentages51 percent disapproving while 48 percent approve.

Trump: Biden Allegations May Be False But He Should Respond

President Trumps War with Everyone Sends His Approval ...

Of all people to be falsely accused of sexual misconduct, President Donald Trump holds a reigning trophy. While I do not doubt the allegations against former Vice President Joe Biden, I do commend Trump for calling on Biden to at least defend himself and address the situation.

On Thursday, Trump called on Biden to respond to the allegations against him from a former Senate aide.

Trump’s Attacks Put Military In ‘presidential Campaign Minefield’

Trump “was constantly undermining civilian-military relations around the bounds of what is acceptable behavior,” says Peter Feaver, a Duke University professor who focuses on those relations. “This, combined with the fact that he has a tin ear for all things in the civil-military domain, means that Trump did lots of damage to this crucial pillar of the republic.”

Aaron O’Connell agrees. He was a Marine Corps officer who served in Afghanistan and in Obama’s National Security Council.

The “biggest thing,” says O’Connell, who now teaches at the University of Texas, is Trump’s pardons for Navy Chief Petty Officer Edward Gallagher and Army 1st Lt. Clint Lorance. Both were convicted of war crimes by the military.

“They were not close calls on the merits,” O’Connell says. “Why get involved with this? It only hurts the military, hurts the rule of law and hurts the image of the U.S. as a law-abiding nation.”

Trump also tested civilian-military relations by urging that active-duty troops be used to quell street protests following the killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police last year.

Defense Secretary Mark Esper strongly and publicly opposed such a move, saying it was a job for local police and possibly the National Guard. Trump soured on Esper after that, and their relationship never survived. Months later, Esper was “terminated” by Trump in a tweet.

But O’Hanlon sees Trump’s overall legacy as relatively positive.

Presidents With The Lowest Approval Ratings

Since the introduction of the presidential job approval system by George Gallup in the 1930s, US citizens have the opportunity to express their approval or disapproval of how a certain president performs their duties. Though the opinion polls conducted are majorly subjective, they give a range of the popularity the president has among the citizens. The ratings of presidents have varied from approval to disapproval during their terms in office. While ratings are expected to fall during scandalous moments, ratings can also rise.

Tucker Discovers The ‘essential’ Golf Trip Former President Barack Obama Was On

Another example as “do as I say, not as I do” from the left. After former President Barack Obama and his wife urged people to stay home, he was seen out golfing at a country club.

Two days after this, DC residents received a public service from none other than former First Lady Michelle Obama. Here’s what the message said:

Republican Veterans Are More Approving Of Trumps Military Policies Than Republicans Overall

New poll shows Trump has the lowest approval rating of any president since 1945

Veterans are divided over some of Trumps specific military policies, but in each case, they are more supportive than the general public. Veterans also have a more positive view than Americans overall about Trumps approach in dealing with North Korea, Russia and Americas NATO allies.Even after accounting for differences in partisanship between the groups, Republican veterans are generally more supportive of Trumps positions than Republicans overall.

A majority of veterans approve of sending troops to the U.S.-Mexico border to deal with migrants coming to the U.S., including 42% who strongly approve of this policy. The public is more evenly split: 47% approve and 50% disapprove.

Veterans are more evenly divided in their views on the U.S. withdrawing from the Iran nuclear weapons agreement: 53% approve of this decision, while 46% disapprove. Roughly four-in-ten veterans strongly approve of this policy. Among the public, a majority disapproves of the U.S. withdrawing from the Iran agreement, while 40% approve of this move. Veterans are twice as likely as the public to say they strongly approve of this policy .

Veterans are divided on how Trump is dealing with Russia, while Americans overall disapprove

A majority of veterans approve of Trumps dealings with North Korea , while 40% disapprove. Among all Americans, more disapprove than approve of Trump in this regard .

But The Presidents Advantage With The Group Is Smaller Than It Was In 2016

  • Donald Trump leads Joe Biden by 10 points among military-affiliated voters, compared with an 18-point edge in 2016 exit polling.

  • Biden is currently polling 7 points ahead of where Hillary Clinton was with likely voters in military households at roughly the same time four years ago.

  • 53% of voters in military households approve of Trumps job performance, roughly the same share that did at the beginning of his presidency.

President Donald Trumps lead over Democratic nominee Joe Biden among military families has not wavered in recent days as hes faced fallout following a report from The Atlantic that said he routinely denigrated service members in private conversations with aides and advisers. Still, despite a significant edge with military-affiliated voters, new Morning Consult polling shows Trumps advantage with the group is smaller than it was four years ago.

Morning Consult daily tracking conducted Sept. 6-8 found Trump leading Biden by 10 percentage points, 52 percent to 42 percent, among 2,711 likely voters in military households those who said they are, or live with, an active-duty service member or veteran. But his advantage with the group has decreased since the 2016 election, when he won military-affiliated voters by 18 points, 57 percent to 39 percent, according to Morning Consult exit polling.

But Biden only has a popularity edge with nonwhite voters in military households, while hes roughly tied with Trump among the groups youngest voters.

The Science Of Ranking Us Presidents

Is Barack Obama really the worst president since World War II? The Quinnipiac Poll announced just that result recently. There were thereafter a number of pushbacks from that conclusion, most based on the fact that such an open-end question reflects a “recency bias” in that Americans think about the presidents who are most top-of-mind.

Poll: Trump Backed By Majority Of Veterans But Not Younger Ones

Older veterans are overwhelmingly backing President Donald Trump in the upcoming election while younger veterans significantly prefer former Vice President Joe Biden as the next commander in chief, according to the results of a recent Military Times poll of veterans.

Altogether, about 52 percent of veterans surveyed said they plan to back Trump in his reelection campaign this year. About 42 percent said they have voted or plan to vote for Biden instead, with the remainder split between third-party candidates and sitting out the election.

The findings which overall echo other public polls of veterans’ voting preferences show a stark divide among different age, race and gender groups within the veterans community, even as most share broader views on national security and dissatisfaction with the countrys political environment.

The poll was conducted in partnership with the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University between Oct. 1 and Oct. 13. More than 1,700 veterans, whose prior military service was verified through past interaction with Military Times, took part in the survey.

Like past polls of active-duty personnel, the results of the veterans poll represent a segment of the community that spent more time in the military than the average service member and generally was more focused on the military as a career than other peers.

Chinese Accuse Us Of History In Bacteriological Warfare

What Is President Donald Trump

Chinas state newspaper China Daily published a column on Thursday that accuses the United States of having a history of bacteriological warfare. Is it possible that the communist country is attempting to pawn off their dirty deeds onto America?

The article implies that the U.S. military brought the virus over to Wuhan, China. I guess its just a coincidence that they have labs in Wuhan that specialize in such matters.

The media and big tech have collaborated to silence President Trump after protests in DC, claiming that he instigated violence by promoting false narratives about the election, but the American people can see through their lies and biased agenda and support for President Trump is rising.

According to Rasmussen, President Trumps approval rating has gone up substantially after the DC protest against election fraud in the 2020 election.

President Trump told the truth about election fraud, and the people are with him. We the People are truly fed up with the lies and distortions coming from the government and the lapdog media, so this latest poll is no surprise to those who are Trump supporters.

Newsmax is reporting:

The Rasmussen poll, one of the most accurate polls of the 2020 election, finds President Trumps approval is actually rising after Wednesdays protests.

As Democrats move to impeachment and some establishment Republicans call for the 25th Amendment to remove Trump, the poll finds 48% approve of the Presidents job performance.

Pelosi and the Democrats might want to back off of trying to impeach President Trump on his last days in office. Millions of Americans see through the strategy and the motivation for this last-minute attempt to destroy the president. Its really YOU they are after and want to silence.

Trumps approval has been up overall, jumping from 45% just before Christmas.

Biden Approval Drops To Lowest Of 7

NEW YORK, Aug 17 – President Joe Biden’s approval rating dropped by 7 percentage points and hit its lowest level so far as the U.S.-backed Afghan government collapsed over the weekend in an upheaval that sent thousands of civilians and Afghan military allies fleeing for their safety, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll.

The national opinion poll, conducted on Monday, found that 46% of American adults approved of Biden’s performance in office, the lowest recorded in weekly polls that started when Biden took office in January.

It is also down from the 53% who felt the same way in a similar Reuters/Ipsos poll that ran on Friday.

Biden’s popularity dropped as the Taliban entered the capital, Kabul, wiping away two decades of U.S. military presence that cost nearly 1 trillion taxpayer dollars and thousands of American lives.

However, a majority of both Republican and Democratic voters said the chaos was a sign that the United States should leave.

The United States and Western allies continued to evacuate diplomats and civilians on Tuesday, one day after Afghans crowded into Kabul airport in a desperate attempt to flee the Taliban regime.

Americans expressed a variety of opinions that may still be evolving as the Taliban completes its takeover of the country.
