In a resignation letter she said it was the “right time for me to step aside”.

Trump officially announced Governor Nikki Haley from South Carolina as his selection for this role on November 23, 2016. She was confirmed on January 24, 2017, and subsequently resigned as South Carolina governor. Haley supported in the Republican primaries and caucuses, but later endorsed Trump as the presumptive Republican nominee. Haley’s lieutenant governor, Henry McMaster, who was an early supporter of Trump, was also under consideration for a role in the Trump administration, but since he did not accept such a role, he succeeded to the governorship of South Carolina upon Haley’s resignation. On October 9, 2018, Haley announced that she was resigning her position as Ambassador effective at the end of 2018.

On January 3, 2017, Robert Lighthizer, a former Deputy United States Trade Representative under President Ronald Reagan, was selected to be the United States Trade Representative. Due to Lighthizer’s prior representation of foreign governments with a trade dispute with the United States, he will first need to obtain a special waiver to bypass the Lobbying Disclosure Act. The waiver would need to pass Congress and have the President’s signature to assume the position. Congress waived the ban for Charlene Barshefsky, President Clinton’s choice for Trade Representative in 1997. Lighthizer was confirmed as U.S. Trade Representative on May 11, 2017, by a margin of 8214.

Health And Human Services Secretary Tom Price
On Sept. 29, after a blistering Politico report revealing that Price had taken at least two dozen private flights that cost in excess of $400,000, the health and human services secretary handed in his resignation.
Trump had criticized Price for what he saw as a direct contradiction of his “drawn the swamp” campaign mantra, according to The New York Times. Although Price had sworn to pay for the cost of his chartered flights and expressed “regret” over his decision to fly private, he ultimately left the White House regardless.

Trump Signs New Counterterrorism Operations Rules Loosening Prior Obama
On Oct. 28, 2017, President Trump signed new rules relating to kill-or-capture counterterrorism operations, loosening previously existing Obama-era constraints on drone strikes and commando raids. While Obama-era rules required near certainty that an intended target was within a strike zone, Trumps new rules lower the requisite level of confidence to reasonable certainty. Furthermore, where the Obama administrations policy had necessitated individualized, high-level vetting of strikes, the new rules instead allow for a persistent campaign of direct action in countries where Islamist militants operate, without specific review of each strike. The Trump administration is also looking to arm the surveillance drones currently flying over Niger and Mali in search of suspected Islamist militants, as well as authorize the Pentagon to carry out offensive ground combat operations in North and West Africa.
As of yet, the Trump administration has not issued any official announcements regarding these rule changes, nor released the policy to the public.
Doj Requests Dismissal Of Discriminatory Purpose Claim In A Challenge To Texas Voter Id Law
The Department of Justice reversed its position in a case challenging SB14, a Texas voter ID law which disproportionately diminishes the ability of African Americans and Latinos to participate in the political process. The Texas voter ID law had required voters to present photo identification from a very limited list before casting a ballot. The law was challenged on the grounds that minorities were less likely to have the acceptable forms of identification than white voters.
As a plaintiff, the DOJ argued alongside a coalition of civil rights groups that the Texas law violated the Voting Rights Act and the U.S. Constitution. Requesting that the discriminatory purpose claim be dismissed, the DOJ retreated from a position that it had steadfastly supported for the last six years.
The suit will proceed, however, the DOJs decision to dismiss the case could have wider implications in similar cases where the DOJ had previously defended the rights of minority voters.

Thats assuming that you find many more deaths to be a negative health impact. According to the report, Trumps policies or lack thereof contributed to the deaths of around 461,000 Americans in 2018. In 2019, about 22,000 deaths resulted from Trumps dismantling of environmental protection measures alone, based on the Commissions analyses. And of course, there was 2020, when the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic hit. Many have written about the Trump administrations failure to mount a scientifically appropriate response to the pandemic. The Commission determined that 40% of Covid-19-related deaths in the U.S. could have been prevented had the U.S. only had the same Covid-19 death rates as those of other Group of Seven nations, namely Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom.

Donald Trump is set to announce his third chief of staff next week after revealing John Kelly would be leaving at the end of the year.
The president’s prime candidate for the job appears to be Nick Ayers, who currently serves in the same role for vice president. Mr Trump has held discussions with Mr Ayers about the job for months, an official told the Associated Press.
More than two dozen senior figures in the administration have now been fired or quit since he took office in January 2017.
Mr Trump has had the highest turnover of senior staff of any of the past five presidents, according to the Brookings Institution think tank.
The growing list of political figures with whom he has parted company reveals two years of acrimony and chaos at the Trump White House. Heres a run-down of all the firings and resignations.
Alexander Acosta Labour Secretary
Mr Acosta, a former federal prosecutor, was sworn in as Secretary in April 2017 – the first Hispanic appointee to the Cabinet. He was chosen for the role after Mr Trump’s first choice, fast-food billionaire Andrew Puzder, withdrew.
During his tenure, Mr Acosta oversaw initiatives to expand on promote workplace apprenticeships. But he was criticised for proposing massive cuts to the International Labor Affairs Bureau, a section of the department that combats human trafficking, child labour and forced labour.

For Sarah, the move is not what she had envisioned for herself or her family. She says she is totally heartbroken and had always thought she would raise her two daughters in the US.
