How To Meet The President Trump

Crime And Illegal Drugs

President Trump’s Full, Unedited Interview With Meet The Press | NBC News

Pence has questioned proposals to decrease penalties for low-level offenses in Indiana, saying the state should focus on “reducing crime, not reducing penalties”. In 2013, Pence expressed concern that a then-pending bill to revise the state’s criminal code was not tough enough on drug crimes, and successfully lobbied to limit the reduction in sentencing of marijuana offenses.

In 2016, he signed into law a measure that would reinstate a ten-year prison sentence for certain drug offenders.

During 2014, Pence sent a letter to United States attorney general , saying Indiana would not comply with because they were “too expensive”. According to the Indiana Department of Corrections, it would cost the state $1520 million annually to comply with the guidelines. Pence said a number of rape prevention measures had already been “implemented”.

In 2015, Pence signed Senate Bill 94 to lengthen the statute of limitations for rapecontinuing for five years after sufficient DNA evidence is uncovered, enough recorded evidence is brought forth or discovered, or the offender confesses to the crime. Pence also signed Senate Bill 8 to allow the death penalty for beheadings if the victim was alive at the time of the offense.

Trump Had Tea Broke Protocol During Visit To Windsor Castle

The first time Trump met the queen at a royal residence was in July 2018, according to Vanity Fair. Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump traveled to the United Kingdom to have tea with the queen.

Looking back at Queen Elizabeth’s life:Queen Elizabeth II dies at 96. A timeline of her life, royal reign

It was during this visit that the former president broke with royal protocol and “triggered a wave of social media attention with a protocol gaffe by walking in front of the monarch as they inspected a guard of honor,” the Daily Mail reported.

How Did President Trump And First Lady Melania Really Meet

While President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, have varying backgrounds, the two have been married for 14 years. Trump, a businessman turned president, and Melania, a former model that is now first lady, have stuck by each others sides as they forged a path into the White House.

This high-profile couple has turned heads with supporters and critics alike, but the two remain together, after meeting for the first time at a party in 1998.

Melania, who came to the U.S. in 1996, was attending the party as a model as part of New York Fashion Week. Trump was also there, but had planned to meet someone else when she caught his eye, CheatSheet reported.

According to the news outlet, Trump went ahead and asked Melania for her number, but she declined to give it to the soon-to-be president. Instead, she asked for his phone number, and he gave her four different numbers, giving plenty of indication that he was interested in her and serious about dating her, CheatSheet said.

The couple soon began a serious relationship with a few reported breakups along the way, but Trump did propose to Melania in 2004 with an estimated $1.5 million ring.

For the wedding, Melania reportedly wore a $100,000 Christian Dior gown that was adorned with 1,500 crystals.

Trump has been married twice before meeting Melania. Trump is Melanias first husband.

Virus Outbreak Mexico President

MEXICO CITY Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said Wednesday he plans to travel to Washington to meet with President Donald Trump, an announcement that was met with a storm of criticism in Mexico.

López Obrador said he wants to make his first trip abroad in the first week of July to mark the start of the new U.S.-Mexico-Canada free trade accord, which was negotiated with the Trump administration.

Trump is deeply unpopular in Mexico because of his remarks about the country. And Mexicans remember former President Enrique Peña Nietos ill-starred meeting with Trump that many feel strengthened Trump as a candidate in the 2016 election. Mexicos Foreign Relations Department then issued a statement saying López Obrador’s administration wants to steer clear of the U.S. elections.

The two leaders have displayed surprisingly cordial relations despite ideological differences. Trump said of López Obrador on Tuesday: Hes really a great guy. I think hell be coming into Washington pretty soon. López Obrador has called Trump a friend and said his administration has shown respect for Mexico

Roberto Velasco Álvarez, the Foreign Relations Department’s director of North American affairs, wrote in his Twitter account that Mexican diplomacy is based on building bridges with all people.

The main objective of the meeting proposed by President López Obrador is promoting our interests, and is not related to internal political processes, Velasco Alvarez wrote.

What Did The Agents Find

Controversy Ensues As Trump Recognizes Jerusalem As Israeli Capital ...

Thirty-three boxes worth of material, according to a detailed inventory made public in September.

The FBI seized 18 documents labelled top secret, 54 marked as secret and 21 deemed confidential. Agents also found 90 empty folders marked classified or for return to government staff.

The cache also included files marked “TS/SCI”, a designation for the country’s most important secrets that if revealed publicly could cause “exceptionally grave” damage to US national security.

The classified materials were also mixed inside boxes with personal items such as books and clothing, according to the inventory.

But the court records do not indicate what information these documents contain and there is much we do not know about them.

For example, other materials taken include a binder of photos, a handwritten note and unspecified information about the “President of France”.

It is also not clear why these files were taken to Mar-a-Lago in the first place.

WASHINGTON On the Friday before Labor Day, President Trump gathered top advisers in the Situation Room to consider what could be among the profound decisions of his presidency a peace plan with the Taliban after 18 years of grinding, bloody war in Afghanistan.

The meeting brought to a head a bristling conflict dividing his foreign policy team for months, pitting Secretary of State Mike Pompeo against John R. Bolton, the national security adviser, in a battle for the competing instincts of a president who relishes tough talk but promised to wind down Americas endless wars.

As they discussed terms of the agreement, Mr. Pompeo and his negotiator, Zalmay Khalilzad, made the case that it would enable Mr. Trump to begin withdrawing troops while securing a commitment from the Taliban not to shelter terrorists. Mr. Bolton, beaming in by video from Warsaw, where he was visiting, argued that Mr. Trump could keep his campaign pledge to draw down forces without getting in bed with killers swathed in American blood.

Andrew Giuliani To Meet With Trump As He Preps Ny Gubernatorial Bid

President Obama Meets With President-Elect Trump

Andrew Giuliani, the son of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and a former public liaison official inside the Trump White House, will meet with the former President at Mar-a-Lago next week as he finalizes his plans to launch a campaign for New York governor.

I will be down there next week for a two to three-day swing where well be meeting with donors, interviewing potential staff and speaking to the former President, Giuliani, who has spoken with Trump three times since news of his gubernatorial ambitions first broke earlier this month, told CNN in an interview Tuesday.

From a self-interest standpoint, I want the President to be as involved as he wants to be, but I would still advise him to keep his powder dry and not make a decision on who to support until we get to the fall or next winter, he added.

Trumps endorsement in the GOP primary, which already includes his longtime friend Rep. Lee Zeldin, could be key in what is expected to be a crowded field of candidates vying to become the first Republican to occupy the governors mansion since 2006. The former President met with Zeldin ahead of his April 8 campaign announcement and is said to be leaning toward supporting the four-term congressman should he need Trumps help in the primary, according to two people familiar with Trumps thinking.

But the momentum behind Zeldin hasnt halted Giulianis plans to toss his own hat in the ring sometime next month.

Promotion Of Conspiracy Theories

Before and throughout his presidency, Trump has promoted numerous conspiracy theories, including Obama birtherism, the Clinton Body Count theory, QAnon, the Global warming hoax theory, Trump Tower wiretapping allegations, a John F. Kennedy assassination conspiracy theory involving Rafael Cruz, linking talk show host Joe Scarborough to the death of a staffer, alleged foul-play in the death of Justice Antonin Scalia, alleged Ukrainian interference in U.S. elections, and that Osama bin Laden was alive and Obama and Biden had members of Navy SEAL Team 6 killed. In at least two instances, Trump clarified to press that he also believed the conspiracy theory in question.

During and since the 2020 presidential election, Trump has promoted various conspiracy theories for his defeat including dead people voting, voting machines changing or deleting Trump votes, fraudulent mail-in voting, throwing out Trump votes, and “finding” suitcases full of Biden votes.

Biden To Meet With Philippines Marcos After Un Assembly Debut

— US President Joe Biden is planning to meet with his Philippine counterpart Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday, according to a person with knowledge of the plans, as both nations look to rebuild a longstanding alliance undermined in recent years.

This would be the first meeting between the leaders of the two countries since former president Donald Trump met with Rodrigo Duterte in Manila in 2017.

The Philippines under Marcos has been ramping up protests against Beijing over a territorial dispute in the South China Sea. However, in an early sign of balancing interests shortly after winning the elections in May, Marcos called China the nations strongest partner in pandemic recovery and said government is open to talks with Beijing on oil exploration in the disputed area.

The late dictators son is facing a $354 million fine for contempt of court in the US after he failed to comply with rulings on disbursing the familys assets. However, US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman in June said Marcos has diplomatic immunity as head of state and can enter America.

Historical Injustice

The new Philippine leader pushed for climate financing from developed nations in his first major speech before world leaders on Wednesday, urging that the historical injustice caused by global warming be rectified.

The effects of climate change are uneven and reflect a historical injustice, Marcos said. This injustice must be corrected, and those who need to do more must act now.

During Pence’s term as governor, the unemployment rate reflected the national average. Indiana’s job growth lagged slightly behind the national trend. In 2014, Indiana’s economy was among the slowest-growing in the United States, with 0.4 percent GDP growth, compared to the national average of 2.2 percent this was attributed in part to a sluggish manufacturing sector. and announced in 2016 that they would be closing two facilities in Indiana, sending 2,100 jobs to Mexico the Trump campaign criticized the moves and Pence expressed “deep disappointment”. Pence was unsuccessful in his efforts to persuade the companies to stay in the state, although the companies agreed to reimburse local and state governments for certain tax incentives they had received. ‘the Silence Is Deafening’

A person close to some of the biggest real estate executives in New York who backed Trump during both of his runs for the White House said this time is different. Their view is he’s taken “major hits” during the Jan. 6 hearings. None from that group are coming to defend him, at least for now.

“The silence is deafening,” this person added.

The lack of interest in Trump by some of the wealthiest Republican donors could boost fundraising efforts for other GOP presidential hopefuls. Multiple Republicans could run in 2024, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C. and Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark. Scott is up for reelection in 2022 but recently headlined an event in Iowa, a key state for candidates running for president. Cotton reportedly has huddled with donors to discuss a possible 2024 run.

The former president has not publicly ruled out running for the White House again in two years after losing to President Joe Biden in 2020. Despite a lack of support from corporate leaders, Trump has maintained a massive campaign war chest thanks largely to small-dollar donors.

Why Did The Fbi Search Mar

In short, because the US Department of Justice suspects the former president may have committed a crime.

The department is conducting a criminal investigation over the improper removal and storage of classified information.

On 8 August, FBI agents gathered evidence as part of this investigation into whether Mr Trump improperly removed government records from the White House and took them to his Florida estate, Mar-a-Lago.

It’s worth noting here that US presidents must transfer all of their documents and emails to a government agency called the National Archives once they leave office.

And earlier this year, that agency said it had retrieved 15 boxes of papers from Mar-a-Lago which Mr Trump should have handed over when he left the White House. That discovery is what triggered the ongoing investigation.

In the affidavit released on 26 August, officials said there was “also probable cause to believe that evidence of obstruction will be found at the premises”.

That is key, because to obtain the search warrant, prosecutors had to persuade a judge that they had probable cause to believe a crime may have taken place.
