Donald Trump’s Circle Insists No One Cares About Jan 6 Hearings
Some of Donald Trump‘s closest allies are suggesting that the country does not care about the January 6 committee’s first public hearing on Thursday because there are greater issues facing the nation.
Ahead of the bipartisan panel’s first prime time televised report outlining the events leading up to the insurrection, which the former president is accused of inciting, Trump’s inner circle is already downplaying its potential significance.
On Monday, Fox News confirmed that it will be the only network not to cover the hearings live during prime time, and instead will broadcast them on its Fox Business Network, which has significantly fewer average viewers during the time period.
A number of Trump’s allies rallied behind Fox News’ decision to stick with its usual prime time shows Tucker Carlson Tonight and Hannity on Thursday night, arguing the public is more interested in issues such as the baby formula shortage or rising gas prices.
Lara Trump, who is married to the former president’s son, Eric, described the as the “biggest scam…perpetrated on the American people since the Russia collusion hoax.”
“This is total nonsense that you’re going to see on Thursday,” Lara Trump told Hannity.
“And the problem is they know it. The Democrats know people do not care about this. They’re desperately trying to get people to buy into this, but the problem is people are more concerned, Sean, with the super-high gas prices.”

Instead of money, Trump ostensibly wants a channel to communicate directly with voters. His website advertises exclusive updates for those who subscribe to the texting service.
One problem: Trump doesnt seem to use the service very often.
Two weeks ago, on the day of the Wisconsin primary, I signed up and prepared for The Donald to Make My iPhone Great Again with the exclusive updates I had been promised. Heres how it went.
And then nothing for 14 days.
Last week, Fix colleague Philip Bump had the good idea to subscribe using a New York ZIP code to see whether the Trump campaign might be targeting residents of the Empire State ahead of the primary. He got nothing for five days.
Finally, on primary day Tuesday, the first exclusive updates arrived.
Later, after I asked the campaign about its use or underuse of the text line, both Bump and I received this message.
What. A. Waste.
Maybe, in another message, Trump could ask subscribers to name the No. 1 issue in the campaign: Text A for immigration, B for terrorism, C for trade, D for gun rights.

Former American President Donald Trump and his eldest children-Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr. are set to testify in New Yorks civil probe in an alleged fraud at their family business before July 15. However, their testimony is conditional. All the three stakeholders of the vast Trump Empire could be exempted from answering the authorities under oath if the New York appellate court grants them a stay. On Wednesday, they submitted a filing asking for the same, according to a CNBC report.
The corruption case is being investigated by New York State Attorney General Letitia James and her team, who are poised to conclude their questioning by the following week. The probe, which Trump has branded as a witch hunt, accused the trio of possibly illegal manipulation of stated valuations of various real estate assets, particularly to gain loan benefits and avoid taxes.
Three of them have been unsuccessfully battling for months to avoid the attorney generals subpoenas. However, if they get a stay from New York State Appeals Court, the testimonies would be delayed. Now, Donald Trump and his two children Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr. have until Monday, June 13, to ask the NY Court of Appeals to stay the order. The top Republican had previously, in February, attempted to thwart the testimonies, however, his bid was overhauled by Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron.

Former President Donald Trump, his eldest son and eldest daughter have agreed to sit for depositions as part of a civil investigation by the New York Attorney General’s Office next month unless the state’s highest court intervenes, according to a stipulation filed Wednesday.
Absent court intervention, former President Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump will appear for testimony beginning July 15, and concluding by the following week, the stipulation said.
A state appellate court ruled in May that the subpoenas for their testimony were not, as the Trumps argued, part of a politically motivated investigation into how the family valued its real estate holdings.

Texts Come Hours Apart With No Clear Explanation For How The Money Will Be Spent

Former President Donald Trump is out of office, and has not announced any plans to run in the future, but that hasnt stopped his political action committee from bombarding his fans with daily requests for money and other support.
Months of text messages reviewed by The Independent reveal that supporters of the former president received at least one text message per day throughout the month of May, with some texts coming mere hours apart ahead of fundraising deadlines.
The donation links route money to the Trump Make America Great Again Committee, a joint fundraising committee that splits funds between the Republican National Committee , Mr Trumps 2020 campaign for president, as well as the Save America PAC, an organisation founded by Mr Trump to fund his future political efforts.
The frequency of the calls for donations rivals that of most active political campaigns, and suggests that Mr Trump is keen on maintaining a massive war chest throughout his post-presidency that means his endorsement carries huge financial weight in any local race.
Some texts sent to supporters via the automated service are designed to appear as if they were personally written by the former president, while others are signed by Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr, and former first lady Melania Trump.
