Make Even More Inroads Among Voters Of Color
Trump or any Republican who runs for the White House should travel down inroads the former president made among voters of color, said Jeff Roe, who managed Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s 2021 campaign in Virginia as well as Sen. Ted Cruz’s 2016 presidential campaign.
Hispanics, in particular, are becoming more conservative, said Roe, who now runs the consulting firm Axiom Strategies that represents GOP candidates all around the US.
While most voters of color decisively supported Biden during the 2020 election and fueled his victory, Trump did improve his showingcompared to 2016. In all, 26% of Trump’s support during the last presidential election came from nonwhite voters. A report by the Democratic data firm Catalist found there was about an 8 percentage-point swing toward Trump in 2020 compared to 2016.
“With that growth it’s a real opportunity for Republicans,” Roe said.

By November 6, a growing number of Trump officials had admitted that the incumbent’s loss was probable. On that day, election-calling organization forecast that Trump had lost the election to Biden.

LOS ANGELES – Despite being at the center of several political controversies and losing the 2020 election, it appears former President Donald Trump has made up his mind about running in 2024 and he feels confident that he could win, according to a report from New York Magazine.
“Look,” Trump said in an interview with New York Mags Olivia Nuzzi. “I feel very confident that, if I decide to run, Ill win.”
“Well, in my own mind, Ive already made that decision, so nothing factors in anymore. In my own mind, Ive already made that decision,” Trump added.
The only decision left for Trump, according to New York Mag would be when.
According to the Interview, Trump said hes merely decided to announce before or after the 2022 Midterms. “Do I go before or after? That will be my big decision,” he said.
Trump added that he doesnt feel concerned about going up against other GOP members including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis who many consider to be the upcoming Republican favorite.
When asked if he considers DeSantis a rival, Trump said “”I dont feel that. I endorsed Ron, he was at 3, and as soon as I endorsed him, he went to first place.”

Trump’s decision, and its timing, promise to define the playing field for Republicans’ efforts to oust President Joe Biden in 2024, and there is reason for him to feel greater urgency in recent weeks.
While he casts a longer shadow over his party than that of any former president in modern times, the footsteps of 2024 Republican hopefuls are growing louder. Several of them have visited early primary states, endorsed candidates in the midterms or delivered high-profile speeches designed to elevate their standing in the party.
That pack includes Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, and Sens. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., Josh Hawley, R-Mo., and Ted Cruz, R-Texas.
There is also an emerging dynamic in which his favorites in multi-candidate races often fail win or lose to finish with as much as one-third of the vote. Some Republican operatives see that as a sign that his influence on the GOP electorate has diminished, to say nothing of his standing with a broader public that voted him out of office less than two years ago.
Perhaps more important, Trump is frustrated by the ennui of engaging mostly through midterm endorsements for candidates he hardly knows, especially when as has happened in several recent high-profile primaries they lose.

Former President Donald Trump has hinted at a rally that his decision to announce another run for the White House can wait until after this year’s crucial midterm elections.
Trump suggested in on Friday that he would launch another bid for the Oval Office but that a formal announcement wouldn’t happen until the elections in November.
The former president has repeatedly teased another presidential campaign but has not made it official, fueling speculation that other candidates will jump into the race for the Republican nomination in 2024.
Republicans are favored to win the House of Representatives in November, according to analysis from poll tracker FiveThirtyEight, while the Senate remains a toss-up.
“I ran twice, I won twice, and did much better the second time than I did the first, getting millions more votes in 2020 than we got in 2016,” Trump said in Prescott Valley, Arizona on Friday. “And likewise, getting more votes than any sitting president in the history of our country by far.”
Trump lost the 2020 presidential election to President Joe Biden but he has continued to claim the election was stolen from him through mass voter fraud and other irregularities.
“And now, we may have to do it again,” Trump went on. “I mean, look atlook at what has happened to our country and less than two years. Our country is like a differentit’s like a different place. It’s so sad to see.”

Donald Trump says he has made up his mind about whether to run for president again in 2024.
While he hasnt made an announcement yet, many Utahns who voted for him in 2016 would mark the ballot for him again because of the policies he advanced in his one term in the White House and despite his nonstop claims of fraud in the 2020 election.
A new Deseret News/Hinckley Institute of Politics poll ascertained Utah voters thoughts on whether Trump fulfilled his campaign promises and what policies and actions they approved or disapproved of during his presidency.
Based on those responses, the survey sought to find out if those voters would go back to Trump if he were to run in 2024. While nearly eight in 10 previous Trump voters in Utah would support the former president, the poll results appear to leave room for other potential GOP presidential candidates to make inroads.
Given the questions that were asked, the evidence from the survey indicates that while Trump is still likely to be the prohibitive favorite among Utah Republicans, meaningful numbers of former Trump voters may be ready to give other candidates a chance, said Chris Karpowitz, co-director of the Center for the Study of Elections and Democracy at Brigham Young University.

Some Republicans Fear An Announcement Will Undercut Them At A Time When They Have A Strong Chance Of Retaking The House And Senate
For nearly a year, a kitchen cabinet of Donald Trump confidants has told the former president not to announce his 2024 comeback candidacy before the midterms, arguing that he could be a drag on 2022 candidates and would be blamed if Republicans underperformed.
But Trump has continued to regularly push for an early announcement in private meetings, as potential 2024 rivals become more aggressive amid signs of weakening support among his base. Now an increasing number of allies are urging him to follow his instincts as a way to shore up his standing in the party and drive turnout to help the GOP take over the House and Senate next year.
The former president is now eyeing a September announcement, according to two Trump advisers, who like some others interviewed for this article spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe private conversations. One confidant put the odds at 70-30 he announces before the midterms. And others said he may still decide to announce sooner than September.
Trump has begun talking with advisers about who should run a campaign, and his team has instructed others to have an online apparatus ready for a campaign should he announce soon, two people familiar with the matter said. He also has begun meeting with top donors to talk about the 2024 race, one of these people said, while on trips to various places across the country.

Representative Madison Cawthorn said that if the legal case against his re-election bid succeeds then ex-President Donald Trump has no chance of winning the 2024 election.
In an interview with Trump ally Steve Bannon, the North Carolina Republican described the challenge facing his candidacy in this year’s midterms, as he faces scrutiny over his actions on the day of the U.S. Capitol riots.
A team of lawyers has invoked Section 3 of the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which bars from public office anyone who has taken the oath to support the country’s founding document and then “engaged in insurrection.”
Lawyers point to his address at the rally in support of ex-President Donald Trump that day where he pushed claims of election fraud. He also tweeted that “the future of this Republic hinges on the actions of a solitary few.”
Cawthorn, one of the most right-wing members of Congress, told “War Room” that the case was “probably going to go to the North Carolina Supreme Court,” which he called “a very liberal haven for the Democratsto try and keep me off the ballot.”
He said Marc Elias, the elections lawyer who oversaw the response to lawsuits filed by the Trump campaign contesting the 2020 election result, was “attacking me,” claiming he was “incapable of holding office” because of the 14th amendment.

Demographic Profiles Of Trump And Biden Voters
As was the case in the 2016 and 2018 elections, the Democratic voting coalition in 2020 looked quite different from the Republican coalition in several respects. Overall, Biden voters were younger, more racially and ethnically diverse, and less likely to live in rural areas than Trump voters.
In 2020, 85% of voters who cast a ballot for Trump were White non-Hispanic this compares with just 61% of Biden voters. These differences are roughly consistent with the share of White voters in each partys coalition in 2016.
Nearly two-in-ten voters who cast a ballot for Biden in the 2020 election were Black, identical to the share of Clinton voters in 2016 who were Black. That is significantly higher than the share of Trump voters who were Black .
The community profiles of Trump and Biden voters are similar in some fundamental ways to the previous two elections but more voters who cast ballots for Biden in 2020 say they live in a suburban area compared with Clintons 2016 voters.
Overall, urban voters continue to constitute a larger share of the Democratic coalition compared with the Republican coalition. And rural voters remain a significantly larger portion of the Republican electorate.
However, when comparing Clintons voters with Bidens, there are some significant shifts. In 2016, about half of Clintons voters described their communities as suburban , while 32% said they were from an urban area and 19% were from a rural area.
