Part of it is, is the movement moving on from Donald Trump? Is it still dominated by Donald Trump? Wilson asked. How do the mainstream and more ideologically insurgent wings of conservativism get along? Can they work together in the 2022 elections or are they going to be at each others throats in the 2022 elections.

I come to CPAC to get the tools that I need to be able to continue to share the conservative message and the conservative values, Jackson said. I understand we all have the same values, but many times we dont all say the same thing the same way.

Trump To Speak At Cpac 2021 Next Sunday But Pence Has Declined Invitation
Former President Donald Trump will speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida, next Sunday, according to a source familiar with the matter, while former Vice President Mike Pence declined an invitation to speak at the conference, two sources told CNN.
One source said organizers still hope to change Pence’s mind about attending, while another source said Pence is planning to stay under the radar for the next six months. Politico first reported that Pence declined the invitation.
The divergence between the two former leaders, which comes as the GOP is grappling with its future in the wake of the Trump presidency, follows tensions between Trump and Pence surrounding the January 6 riot at the US Capitol and Pence’s role certifying the results of the election for President Joe Biden.
“We accept Joe Biden is the duly elected president of the United States,” former Pence chief of staff Marc Short told CNN’s Pamela Brown on “Newsroom” Saturday evening, despite Pence playing a role in perpetuating baseless election fraud theories that Trump repeatedly pushed ahead of the attack on the Capitol.
Unlike Trump, Pence attended Biden’s inauguration in Washington, DC, last month — after skipping Trump’s farewell ceremony.
Short said Saturday that Trump and Pence “departed amicably” and that they’ve spoken since.

Trump To Speak At North Carolina Gop Convention On June 5
RALEIGH, N.C. Former President Donald Trump will speak at North Carolinas annual state Republican Party convention next month, party officials announced Monday.
The former president will speak in person at the June 5 convention dinner in Greenville. Trump narrowly carried North Carolina in 2020 and held numerous events in the state toward the end of his campaign.
Trumps speech will be closed to the media, and journalists wont be able to view it via livestream or alternate forms, said Livy Polen, a spokeswoman for the NC GOP.
Trump has kept a relatively low public profile since leaving office. His last significant public speech was in February at the CPAC convention. Hes still banned from Twitter and Facebook, and his public comments have largely come in the form of written statements and calling into right-leaning news outlets.
Trumps daughter-in-law Lara Trump has not yet publicly ruled out a 2022 U.S. Senate run in North Carolina and has expressed interest in the contest. Trump has not endorsed any of the three Republicans already running for the seat being vacated by Republican Sen. Richard Burr.
North Carolina U.S. Rep. Ted Budd and former Rep. Mark Walker, who are vying for the partys 2022 U.S. Senate nomination, are scheduled to attend the convention, as are U.S. Rep. Madison Cawthorn and four other members of the states congressional delegation. Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem will serve as a guest speaker.
