As youd imagine, hes one of the busiest people on the planet. For that reason, its unlikely that POTUS will receive your message let alone reply to it.

That being said, there are some things you can cover to increase the chances of receiving a reply.

Fact Check: Joe You Know I Won Letter From Trump Is Not Real

3 Min Read

A picture of a letter purportedly left by former President Donald Trump for new President Joe Biden has been shared thousands of times online. The letter in the picture reads: Joe, you know I won. While Trump did leave a letter for Biden, there are signs this apparent letter is a hoax.

Thousands of Facebook users shared the image and some left comments suggesting they believed it was real, such as: So this is the letter and Love President Trump. Always says the truth!!

Trump did participate in the Presidential tradition of leaving a letter for the successor, but the contents have not been disclosed as of this articles publication. President Biden told reporters at the White House on Jan. 20, the day of his inauguration, that: The president wrote a very generous letter, but because it was private, I wont talk about it until I talk to him.

There are also signs that the letter was created using image editing software. The presidential seal on the faked letter does not match previous examples sent from Trumps White House. Letters from Trump to North Koreas Kim Jong Un in 2018 and Turkeys President Tayyip Erdogan in 2019 had a gold crest at the top of the letter, whereas this fake has a coloured seal that matches a Wikipedia search result for Seal of the President of the United States .

This hoax letter also has an address at the bottom, unlike previous letters from the former president, as noted by Fact checkers Lead Stories .

No Evidence Letter Is Authentic

There is no evidence that the letter depicted on social me is real. The contents of the post’s letter also contradict Biden’s assessment of it being “very generous.”

Additionally, the seal at the top of the letter does not match the seals used on other letters from Trump that have been made public, like this one. The letter posted to Instagram is also dated “20th January 2021,” instead of the typical date formatting with the month first, followed by the day.

Lastly, the letter’s assertion that Trump won the election is false. Election officials, both Republicans and Democrats, have confirmed that there was no widespread voter fraud and lawsuits alleging fraud have been largely unsuccessful.

Trump Leaves Parting Oval Office Letter For Biden

The Trump White House did not divulge the contents of what Trump left for Biden to read, but the new president said it was generous.

After four years of shattering precedent inside the White House, President Donald Trump took part in one final presidential tradition on his way out of office Wednesday: leaving a letter for his successor inside the Oval Office.

Trump spokesperson Judd Deere confirmed Wednesday that the president had written a letter to President-elect Joe Biden and left it for him in the Oval Office’s Resolute Desk. The Trump White House did not divulge the contents of what Trump left for Biden to read.

Speaking to reporters from the Oval Office for the first time as president on Wednesday evening, Biden said he, too, would keep the note under wraps until he had a moment to connect with Trump.

The president wrote a very generous letter, Biden said. Because it was private, I will not talk about it until I talk to him, but it was generous.

Trump has forsaken other symbolic aspects of the transfer of power between presidents including skipping Bidens inauguration on Wednesday and instead heading to his private club in Florida after a farewell ceremony at Joint Base Andrews.

Arguably the most famous of these letters Bush’s 1993 letter to Bill Clinton is also the most comparable to the Trump-Biden dynamic, as both featured presidents leaving office following unsuccessful re-election bids and hard-fought campaigns.

A Letter To President Trump

First, I would advise you against using the words win and winning to describe war, especially from a U.S. perspective, begins Habib Ahmadzadeh.

Mint Press News

Dear President Trump,

In a recent Tweet, you claimed that Iranians never won a war, but never lost a negotiation. As a world citizen and a veteran of the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war, I have firsthand experience with the bitterness of war, and I have a few suggestions and responses for you.

First, I would advise you against using the words win and winning to describe war, especially from a U.S. perspective. American history is filled with bitter experiences of losing wars. Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, and even the engagement in Yemen none of these horrifying interventions has ever reached its goals.

Just remember, the Iranians never won a war, but never lost a negotiation!

Donald J. Trump

You should recognize that the first step in any combat is understanding your adversary. As an experienced Iranian war veteran, I strongly suggest you study the culture and history of an old civilization such as Iran. Iranians, those you label as living in a terrorist nation, are proud that in the past 250 years we have never initiated a war. We are proud that we have never invaded, intruded and oppressed other nations, neither in our neighborhood nor even in response to our foes.

Irans Foreign Minister Javad Zarif.

Sincerely,

Habib Ahmadzadeh

How To Write A Letter To The President And Have An Impact

Writing a letter to the president can be an effective way for advocates to have their voices heard, influence policy decisions, and move public opinion if done with some planning and intentionality. The vast majority of letters to the President go largely unheeded because of the sheer volume of letters received and the lack of planning and follow through on the part of the authors. This post lays out step-by-step how to send a letter to the President and how to have the biggest impact possible.

To send a letter to the president of the United States, authors may use this electronic contact form on the White House website or send a paper copy of the letter to The White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC 20500.*

Despite the ease of communication today, authors should use this process sparingly and carefully time their efforts to maximize impact. Advocates should also be prepared to do outreach to and coordinate with supporters, allies, the media, and other public officials before sending the letter. Over several years, I have led many civil society efforts in writing to the president and, while many factors are outside of the control of organizers, there is more or less a formula for maximizing impact.
