It was announced this morning in New York that its latest addition to its growing collection of hotels, Trump International Hotel Washington, D.C. is now open.As a Forbes Five-Star hotel, both The Trump International Hotel & Tower Vancouver and Trump International Hotel and Tower Honolulu received the honor.

Rates at the Trump hotel in Washington, D.C. are $7,500 cheaper on Jan. 6, 2022 than they were on the same date in 2021, when supporters of the former president stormed the U.S. Capitol.
Ahead of that day, in December 2020, Trump had plugged a big protest that would be wild in D.C. Almost immediately, rates surged from $476 to $1,999. A week later, they climbed to $3,600, before peaking at $8,000 for the least-expensive room. The house was apparently packed. A manager for the hotel later boasted that room service enjoyed record numbers that week.
Its a different story this year. A room at Trumps D.C. hotel can be had for as little as $446. Thats the same rate as almost every other night at the hotel over the next two months. Representatives from the Trump Organization did not immediately respond to inquiries.
Plenty of Republican bigwigs showed up at the hotel around Jan. 6, 2021. Sen. Tommy Tuberville , former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, Qanon promoter Juan O. Savin and one of Rudy Giulianis election experts, Phil Waldron, all showed up at the property last year. In 2022, they dont seem as interested in visiting.

In the nations capital on Pennsylvania Avenue, this property is a testament to the redevelopment savvy of the Trump Hotels enterprise. The U.S. General Services Administration chose Trump Hotels to redevelop the area in 2013, and redevelop it did. Trump dropped more than $200 million to transform Washingtons Old Post Office named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 into a hotel.
Its worth a stay just to take a walk across the lobby a nine-story atrium. The spa at this property bears Ivanka Trumps name, but if reading is more your thing, you can enjoy digital access to more than 5,000 magazines and newspapers. Or tour the old clock tower above the building, recently reopened to the public by the National Park Service. The hotel is pet- and kid-friendly, and if you book 30 days or more in advance, you can shave 25 percent off your room rate.

If you want to watch the election results roll in from the poshest suite at DCs newest luxury hotelthe only one owned by a current presidential candidateits going to cost you some folks yearly salary. The Trump International Hotel on Pennsylvania Ave is poised to open on September 12, but its website is already taking reservations. We popped some dates in to determine how much it might cost to spend the night at what Trump himself has called one of the truly great hotels in the world.
Rates start at $795 per night for the most basic room at the Trump International, although on election night those Deluxe 357-513 square foot rooms will rent for $995. Junior Suites begin at $1,325 and various other suites, the 1,649-square foot Capitol Suite and the 2,874-square foot Postmaster Suite, for instance, will rent for $9,200 and $24,200,respectively.
For comparisons sake, the Presidential Suite at the Rosewood, which was chosen by Travel + Leisure as the best hotel in DC this year, is listed on its website as renting for $3,000 on election night. At The Jefferson, the most luxurious suite available is the top-floor Thomas Jefferson Suite, which boasts a fireplace and views of the Washington Monument it will rent for $10,000 on election night.

In November, we noticed a mysterious spike in the price of available rooms at Trumps DC hotel for a Saturday night in December. The minimum cost was 13 times the average, but we couldnt identify a reason for the spike, until photos surfaced of the Trump Victory Committees winter retreat at Trumps Hotel on that exact night, which appears to have sold out much of the venue. While the least expensive room for a one-night stay at the hotel was around $500 on surrounding days, the cheapest room on December 14 was a whopping $6,719. With access to Trump, Pence, and other top officials, and a bonus invitation to the White House holiday party for donors, we no longer have to wonder why.
On November 7th, CREW flagged a massive spike in the cost of a room on December 14, suggesting that every less expensive room in the hotel was sold out, leaving only pricey suites. Presumably, rooms were taken up by donors to Trump Victory Committee, a joint fundraising committee of the Republican National Committee and the Trump campaign. The exorbitant cost is even more evidence that hosting fundraisers at the Trump International Hotel is one of the best ways to sell out the notoriously empty venue, sending donor money right into Trumps pocket.

Macleod House & Lodge At Trump International Golf Links Scotland
Cost to Stay: $265 a Night
Take a step back in time for less than $300 a night. The five-star accommodations of MacLeod House are tucked into a historic mansion in the woods of Aberdeenshire and boast secret stairways and at one time the Green Lady ghost.
Not to fear. POTUS ordered the Green Lady to move on when he bought the property in 2006, and by all reports, she obliged. Sarah Malone, executive vice president of Trump International, said that after renovations, the building was no longer a suitable abode for a ghost. You can now enjoy golf, horseback riding, fishing, beaches and upscale dining without worrying about things that go bump in the night.
