They Stand Behind the President

The female vote has always been important in elections: women cast their ballots at a higher rate than men do, research by Pew suggests.

The views of female voters have got even more attention during this campaign because Trump is trying to bridge a gender gap – among women voters, he lags behind his rival, Joe Biden. According to a recent poll by ABC, 61% of female voters in Pennsylvania support Biden, while only 38% say they back Trump.

Pennsylvania is a battleground state that could determine the outcome of the election. For that reason, the women who live in the state now have even more clout.

Biden has also been courting female voters. His agenda includes many of the issues that interest suburban women, such as climate change, healthcare and universal pre-school. Joe Biden “has the character it takes to get things done,” his wife, Jill, told Pennsylvania women in a virtual event that was held over the summer. “And he has the vision to re-imagine our future.”

With all the attention that women in the suburbs have been getting from the candidates, it seemed like the right moment to find out from the women themselves what their lives are like and how they see these two men.

Few Facts Millions Of Clicks: Fearmongering Vaccine Stories Go Viral Online

And why don’t we just dive right in? I’ve got a lot to talk about. There’s a lot to go over, but I want to begin briefly on the pandemic. What advice would you give to Americans who haven’t chosen to get vaccinated?

Well, first of all, the mandate is really hurting our country. Now that’s advice to an administration more so than to the Americans. A lot of Americans aren’t standing for it, and it’s hurting our country. It’s hurting our economy very badly. And being very the proud person that did so well with therapeutics and, and vaccines and everything else and getting them done in record times, you know, I I have a lot to say on the subject. And one of the things I say is they have to start promoting and making the therapeutics more available, because we have great therapeutics, too, in addition to the vaccines.

What is the advice on the vaccines, though?

But the therapeutics —

The vaccines, I recommend taking them, but I think that has to be an individual choice. I mean, it’s got to be individual, but I recommend taking them. Many people recommend them. And if some people don’t want, they shouldn’t have to take them. They can’t be mandated, as the expression goes. And I think that’s very important. Personally, I feel very comfortable having taken them. I’ve had absolutely no reverberation.

Promotion Of Conspiracy Theories

Man standing behind Trump at Montana campaign rally stole the show ...

Before and throughout his presidency, Trump has promoted numerous conspiracy theories, including Obama birtherism, the Clinton Body Count theory, QAnon, the Global warming hoax theory, Trump Tower wiretapping allegations, a John F. Kennedy assassination conspiracy theory involving Rafael Cruz, linking talk show host Joe Scarborough to the death of a staffer, alleged foul-play in the death of Antonin Scalia, alleged Ukrainian interference in U.S. elections, and that Osama bin Laden was alive and Obama and Biden had members of Navy SEAL Team 6 killed. In at least two instances Trump clarified to press that he also believed the conspiracy theory in question.

During and since the 2020 presidential election, Trump has promoted various conspiracy theories for his defeat including dead people voting, voting machines changing or deleting Trump votes, fraudulent mail-in voting, throwing out Trump votes, and “finding” suitcases full of Biden votes.

Republican Mayra Flores Flips Texas House District Red In Special Election

Republican Mayra Flores is projected to win a special election in Texas‘ 34th Congressional District, flipping a House seat after Rep. Filemon Vela, who held the seat for nearly 10 years, resigned in March and vacated the seat.

Flores, who had 51% of the vote to Democratic candidate Dan Sanchez’ 43% when The Associated Press called the race, will become the first Mexican-born congresswoman to serve in the House. Her family moved to the United States when she was 6 years old.

Flores will finish out the remainder of Vela’s term, which expires in January, and Republicans were eager to win the seat and gain new ground in the Lone Star state to represent the district that spans east of San Antonio with parts along the coast to Brownsville. As currently drawn, the 34th Congressional District will essentially be dissolved later this year after a newly redrawn map favoring current 15th Congressional District Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, the Democratic nominee for November’s general election to represent the 34th District, was constructed.

Ahead of the election, the two front-runners in the race for a short term on Capitol Hill were Sanchez, a former Cameron County commissioner, a Democrat, and health care worker Flores, a Republican who outspent Sanchez and gained steam in the race for the seat that has been vacant for more than two months.

Who Is Mayra Joli Nodding Woman Behind Trump At Town Hall

A woman seen at an NBC News town hall event with President Donald Trump, held at the Perez Art Museum in Miami, Florida, has been dubbed the “Nodding Lady” across social media.

The Trump supporter, who was later identified as Mayra Joli by the Miami Herald, was captured in a video of the event frequently nodding her head throughout Trump’s interview with NBC’s Today show anchor Savannah Guthrie.

Wearing a red face mask, Joli was seated behind Trump, pictured to the right of the president.

Joli is an immigration attorney in south Florida who ran for Congress back in 2018.

She practices “exclusively in the field of immigration law, specializing in detention and removal proceedings,” according to the website of the Joli Law Firm.

During her 2018 congressional race, Joli was reported to have gained 2.5 percent of the vote as an independent in Florida’s 27th Congressional District, losing the race to Democrat Donna Shalala.

In an interview with the Miami Herald back in 2017, Joli compared herself to Trump, noting: “I am not looking to run because I need a paycheck, like Donald Trump. I’m not looking to run because I need fame, like Donald Trump.

“I’m running because I need this country to succeed.

“Like Donald Trump, I don’t drink,” she said at the time.

After the town hall event, Joli spoke to Trump in a video posted on her Facebook page.

Who Is This Woman Standing Next To Trump

The June 2 front-page article Summit with Kim will go forward, Trump announces, about reinstatement of the summit between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, was accompanied by a photograph of Trump and two others. The man to Trumps right was identified as Kim Yong Chol, described in the article as a top Kim aide. But the woman to Trumps left was ignored in the caption.

Naming the two men in the photo but leaving out the woman, who is equally prominent in the picture, was pure and raw sexism. Even if she is only a translator, spouse or aide, her role obviously is important, and ThePosts failure to name her is jaw-dropping.

If The Post doesnt want to be part of the problem, it should identify all individuals in the foreground of a photo.

Social Media Once Again Mocks Christie’s Expressions While Standing Behind Trump

Tomi Lahren: I believe this is who’s really ‘pulling the strings’ for Biden

NEW YORK — Gov. Chris Christie can’t catch a break on Twitter.

Social media is once again jumping on Christie for the faces he was making while standing behind Donald Trump on Tuesday night.

Christie joined Trump on stage to celebrate the Republican front-runner’s sweeping the five Northeast primaries. During Trump’s Super Tuesday press conference in March, many mocked the New Jersey governor on social media for the facial expressions he was making.

And it happened again.

Misogyny And Allegations Of Sexual Misconduct

Trump has a history of insulting and belittling women when speaking to media and on social media. He made lewd comments, demeaned women’s looks, and called them names, such as ‘dog’, ‘crazed, ‘crying lowlife’, ‘face of a pig’, or ‘horseface’.

In October 2016, two days before the second presidential debate, a 2005 “hot mic” recording surfaced in which Trump is heard bragging about kissing and groping women without their consent, saying “when you’re a star, they let you do it, you can do anything… grab ’em by the pussy.” The incident’s widespread media exposure led to Trump’s first public apology during the campaign and caused outrage across the political spectrum.

At least twenty-six women, including his first wife, have publicly accused Trump of sexual misconduct. There were allegations of rape, violence, being kissed and groped without consent, looking under women’s skirts, and walking in on naked pageant contestants. In 2016, he denied all accusations, calling them “false smears” and alleging a conspiracy against him and the American people.

Presidential Campaign And 2011 Hints At Presidential Run

In 2000, Trump ran in the California and Michigan primaries for nomination as the Reform Party candidate for the 2000 United States presidential election but withdrew from the race in February 2000. A July 1999 poll matching him against likely Republican nominee George W. Bush and likely Democratic nominee Al Gore showed Trump with seven percent support.

In 2011, Trump speculated about running against President Barack Obama in the 2012 election, making his first speaking appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference in February 2011 and giving speeches in early primary states. In May 2011, he announced he would not run, and he endorsed Mitt Romney in February 2012. Trump’s presidential ambitions were generally not taken seriously at the time.

Understand The 2022 Midterm Elections

People standing behind Trump at rally forced to make way for young ...

Why are these midterms so important? This years races could tip the balance of power in Congress to Republicans, hobbling President Bidens agenda for the second half of his term. They will also test former President Donald J. Trumps role as a G.O.P. kingmaker. Heres what to know:

What are the midterm elections?Midterms take place two years after a presidential election, at the midpoint of a presidential term hence the name. This year, a lot of seats are up for grabs, including all 435 House seats, 35 of the 100 Senate seats and 36 of 50 governorships.

What do the midterms mean for Biden? With slim majorities in Congress, Democrats have struggled to pass Mr. Bidens agenda. Republican control of the House or Senate would make the presidents legislative goals a near-impossibility.

What are the races to watch?Only a handful of seats will determine if Democrats maintain control of the House over Republicans, and a single state could shift power in the 50-50 Senate. Here are 10 races to watch in the House and Senate, as well as several key governors contests.

When are the key races taking place? The primary gauntlet is already underway. Closely watched races in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia were held in May, with more taking place through the summer. Primaries run until September before the general election on Nov. 8.

Probably Ron DeSantis would be my next choice, Mr. Merritt said. Because he was the most like Mr. Trump of the Republican candidates.
