“Boogaloo” is a term used by extremists to refer to armed insurrection, a shortened version of “Civil War 2: Electric Boogaloo,” which was coined on the extremist message board 4chan.
Gov. Jay Inslee of Washington condemned Trump’s tweets in in which he warned the president about encouraging violence.
“The president is fomenting domestic rebellion and spreading lies – even while his own administration says the virus is real, it is deadly and we have a long way to go before restrictions can be lifted,” Inslee wrote.

A Twitter spokesperson said the presidents tweets didnt violate the sites policies against content that poses a risk to health or well-being around the coronavirus outbreak.
The use of “liberate” in the tweets is too vague to be actionable, according to the Twitter spokesperson.
The activity comes as extremist researchers have warned about increased activity during the pandemic.
While focused on their respective states, the groups are organizing expressly to call for people to violate the policies that Trump has supported at daily news briefings.

SAN FRANCISCO President Trump took a break of more than 25 hours from tweeting after Twitter suspended his account Wednesday evening.
His video message at 7:11 p.m. Thursday broke his longest streak without airing his thoughts, feelings and calls to action on the site since November 2019.
Twelve hours of that silence was because of a first-ever Twitter suspension of his account, instituted after the president violated the platforms rules as rioters broke into the Capitol. The account was returned to his control in the morning, according to a person familiar with the matter who was not authorized to speak about it publicly. But then, more silence.
The gap was unusual. The president, who has more than 88 million followers, has made Twitter his main means of speaking directly to his supporters and the country at large, and he uses it frequently. In the previous 30 days, he had tweeted an average of 18 times each day, according to Social Blade, a social media statistics site.
That ended Wednesday night, after Twitter locked the presidents account and required him to delete three of his tweets. One tweet included a video of Trump telling rioters: So go home. We love you. Youre very special.
Facebook also took down the video and said it will suspend Trump for at least the next two weeks, and maybe longer. When he gets access back, if he does, Trump will no longer be president.

In the blog post, Twitter cited Trumps two most recent tweets as an explanation for the permanent suspension.
In the first one, Trump wrote: The 75,000,000 great American Patriots who voted for me, AMERICA FIRST, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, will have a GIANT VOICE long into the future. They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!
In the next, he tweeted, To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th.
Taken together, the company determined, they were likely to inspire others to replicate the violent acts that took place on January 6, 2021, and that there are multiple indicators that they are being received and understood as encouragement to do so.
The suspension drew immediate praise from Democratic politicians.
“Thank you @twitter for taking this action,” Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., tweeted. “We must come together as a country to heal and find a common path forward.”
Republican politicians and Trump loyalists pushed back on the decision.

They said that for Kloss to claim shes tried to discuss her different views is simply not true.

Twitter Permanently Suspends President Donald Trump
Twitter permanently suspended President Donald Trumps account on Friday, citing the risk of further incitement of violence.
The presidents account, with 88 million followers, was initially banned for 12 hours on Wednesday due to severe violations of our Civic Integrity policy, after he used the platform to condemn Vice President Mike Pence as his supporters stormed the Capitol.
Almost immediately, the account that Trump had used for years to convey his every thought, to denounce his enemies and praise his friends, to convey uncountable false statements and official White House announcements, simply disappeared. It was suddenly impossible to see his previous tweets, or even to see his reaction to Twitter’s decision. Instead, his empty account had been marked: “Account suspended.”
Trump’s attempts to tweet from associated accounts also were blocked. At one point, he was tweeting from his campaign account, but that was promptly suspended.
In a blog post, Twitter detailed the reasoning behind the decision.
In the context of horrific events this week, we made it clear on Wednesday that additional violations of the Twitter Rules would potentially result in this very course of action, Twitter wrote. Our public interest framework exists to enable the public to hear from elected officials and world leaders directly. It is built on a principle that the people have a right to hold power to account in the open.
Trump Tweets Sensitive Surveillance Image Of Iran
Hanham, deputy director of the Open Nuclear Network in Vienna, says she has seen lots of images over the years but never anything like this. “It was so crystal clear and high-resolution that I did not believe it could have come from a satellite,” she says.
There are still few details about how the image made its way to Trump’s Twitter account. The president received his daily intelligence briefing at 11:30 a.m. ET, about two hours before the tweet.
CNBC reported that Trump was shown the photo during the briefing. A flash visible in the center of the image suggests Trump or someone else took a photo of the original image which Hanham says might have been the intelligence briefing slide. The Office of the Director of National Intelligence referred questions about the image to the White House.
“We had a photo and I released it, which I have the absolute right to do,” Trump told reporters late Friday.
Such a disclosure of classified information by anyone but the president would end in jail time, says Bruce Klingner, a former CIA officer now at the conservative Heritage Foundation.
“Anyone else who revealed it would be sitting in Leavenworth prison, serving out a prison term,” Klingner says.
The rules about classification are laid out in very detailed presidential orders as part of a system run by the executive branch, and Trump is the boss.

It’s also not a once-every-four-years problem. Public health officials are currently competing with a deluge of online disinformation to convince the public that the coronavirus vaccines are safe.
“We are in serious trouble,” said Joan Donovan, the research director of Harvard University’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy. “Disinformation has become an industry, which means the financial incentives and the political gains are now aligned.”
Trump may no longer have access to his 80 million Twitter followers, but the system he capitalized on to spread more than 30,000 falsehoods remains intact.
