President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and former President Donald Trump issued messages on Thursday morning wishing people a happy Thanksgiving.
In video messages, Biden and Harris both stressed the importance of being thankful for the opportunity to gather in person for Thanksgiving this year after being apart last year.
Trump, meanwhile, released a written statement in which he focused on enjoying this Thanksgiving knowing that a wonderful future lies ahead.

It baffles me as to how people can continue to support former President Donald Trump.
In my view, Trump has done more to destroy democracy than any other president in history. He tried to steal an election. He incited a riot against Congress. He has his minions trying to change election laws to make it harder to vote. He essentially tried to destroy NATO and rebuffed our allies while playing footsies with Russia, China and North Korea. He had in his possession confidential documents from the White House, and who knows what he did or intended to do with them.
In addition, I believe that Trump is an embarrassment to this country because of his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. And he made idiotic remarks about buying Greenland, dropping a nuclear bomb on a hurricane, and Italy allegedly using its satellites to change the votes in election machines.
It seemed that, while Trump was in office, a day didnt go by without him lying about something. If he was Pinocchio, I believe that his nose would stretch from one end of the country to the other.
I could go on, but there is a word limit for letters to the editor.
So for those who continue to support Trump, brush up on your history and I believe that you will see similarities between Trumps actions and what happened in Nazi Germany. If you continue to support Trump and his cohorts who promote his lies and do his bidding, I believe that you are helping to destroy democracy.

Trump Doubles Down On Calls To Donate Directly To Him
Former President Trump doubled down on his calls for Republicans to donate to his leadership PAC rather than the GOP amid a growing feud over the partys use of his name and likeness in its fundraising.
In a statement put out by Save America, Trumps PAC, the former president berated RINOs and fools while maintaining he supports the Republican Party. Its the latest escalation in the fundraising dispute that began over the weekend.
I fully support the Republican Party and important GOP Committees, but I do not support RINOs and fools, and it is not their right to use my likeness or image to raise funds, Trump said, using the acronym for Republicans in name only.
So much money is being raised and completely wasted by people that do not have the GOPs best interests in mind. The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday published a lengthy letter to the editor from Trump charging, inaccurately, that the 2020 presidential election won by Joe Biden was rigged.
The nearly 600-word letter is replete with loosely sourced and largely debunked claims of fraud in Pennsylvania, a state that President Biden won by 81,660 votes, handing him 20 electoral college votes that helped secure his victory.
Trump took issue with an Oct. 24 piece from the Journals reliably conservative editorial board, which argued that the statewide margin between Trump and Biden was too vast for a debate over the status of approximately 10,000 mail-in ballots that arrived after the Election Day deadline to be germane to the outcome. The country is lucky the election wasnt closer, the board wrote. If the election had hung on a few thousand Pennsylvanians, the outcome might have been picked by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Well actually, the election was rigged, which you, unfortunately, still havent figured out, Trump retorted baselessly in his letter, before listing a few examples of how determinative the voter fraud in Pennsylvania was. Trump cited talking points from Audit the Vote PA, a little-known organization that has promoted unsubstantiated claims of election fraud, which he described as highly respected.

Trump Faces Questions In A Lawsuit
A lawyer for the plaintiff, Benjamin Dictor, stated that Trump was questioned on various topics that included his comments made at the campaign rallies, where they allege he had seemingly encouraged security personnel to treat protesters harshly, as per AP report. The lawsuit filed by five persons of Mexican origin living in New York have alleged that Trumps bodyguards assaulted them in Manhattan on 3 September, 2015. The people were, as per the AP report, protesting comments that Trump made about Mexico and Mexican immigrants.
According to AP, Benjamin Dictor, the plaintiffs lawyer, mentioned that Trump behaviour in response to the questions matched his public image. Without divulging details into how Trump handled the questioning, he revealed that the former presidents session proceeded like other depositions.
Dictor declined to comment on the substance of Trumps testimony and added that questioning of former President proved that no one is above the law.
Benjamin Dictor said, While we will not comment on the substance of Mr. Trumps testimony at this time, we hope todays events serve as an example that our institutions have prevailed and no one is above the law, as per AP.

Three Cases Suggest Trumps Argument Could Be Challenged
Three cases speak directly to the limits of presidential declassification powers. Each of them involved Trump, and none support Trumps assertion to Hannity.
One case is James Madison Project v. U.S. Department of Justice. The case involved media outlets suing to secure an unredacted version of Justice Department applications to surveil Carter Page, a onetime associate of Trump who later came under scrutiny in special counsel Robert Muellers investigation of alleged Trump ties to Russia.
The Justice Department argued that some parts of the application were classified and could not be released under the Freedom of Information Act. The news organizations contended that a September 2018 press release from then-White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders indicated that Trump had directed the declassification of the Page warrants.
In his decision rejecting the media outlets right to the unredacted document, U.S. District Judge Amit P. Mehta concluded that a White House press release was not a declassification order.
A second case is New York Times and Matthew Rosenberg v. Central Intelligence Agency. In this case, the Times, using a Freedom of Information Act request, sought acknowledgement and documents from the CIA about the existence of a covert program for arming and training rebel forces in Syria.
The third case, Leopold v. Department of Justice, also undercuts what Trump asserted to Hannity.
