For More Than Two Months Trump Organizations Have Sent Me Repeated Pleas For Donations Sometimes As Many As Four Emails In One Day

Donald Trump is counting on me. He told me so.

Michael, I need your help, the former president said in an email on Wednesday.

His people stressed how important I am to him.

When President Trump considers all of his Top Patriots, he thinks of YOU, Michael. YOU have been his #1 supporter from the beginning, and we want you to know it has not gone unnoticed, said a subsequent email on Wednesday.

A day earlier, however, they let me know Trump wasnt very happy with me.

We just received the below email from President Trump. Hes disappointed that you werent on the first list of entries to win lunch with him in FLORIDA, they wrote on Tuesday.

From Trumps purported email: Why havent my top supporters contributed to win a trip to meet me in Florida? I really want them there with me as my VIP guest.

Yes, somehow I ended up on Trump fundraising email lists. For the record, I am not a supporter nor one of his Top Patriots and, if anyone cares, I am a No Party Preference registered voter. I have not been in contact with any of the Trump organizations or responded to any of their missives. They certainly know how to get in touch with me, though.

Between Nov. 9 and Friday, Ive received 74 emails from Trump organizations. Thats an average of about one a day. Often, two have arrived on one day, occasionally three and, at least a couple times, four in one day. They are not repeats each email is different.

But such matters are secondary to raising money.

For free.

Capitol Police Suit For Jan 6 Riots

Blassingame v. Trump, No. 21-cv-00858

Plaintiff: James Blassingame and Sidney Hemby, two Capitol police officers

Case Summary: On Mar. 30, 2021, two Capitol Police Officers sued Donald Trump for injuries they sustained during the Jan. 6 riots in DC. The officersJames Blassingame and Sidney Hembysay they were maced with bear spray, attacked with fists and flagpoles, and even crushed against a door as they tried to protect the Capitol from pro-Trump intruders.

Much like the other Jan. 6 suits against Trump, the officers pin their injuries on Trumps incendiary rhetoric before and during violence. Both allege that Trump directed the rioters to assault them, aided the rioters in committing those assaults, and negligently incited the riot in violation of DCs public safety codes. Blassingame also accuses Trump of directing intentional infliction of emotional distress, pointing to the racial slurs and taunts that the intruders allegedly hurled at him during the violence.

Case Status: The officers filed their suit in DC federal court on Mar. 30, 2021. On Apr. 28, 2021, the plaintiffs added two new conspiracy claims against Trump, one based on the KKK Act and the other on common law conspiracy. They allege that Trump illegally conspired with the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers to storm the Capitol, which in turn caused the plaintiffs injuries.

Update: Donald Trump filed a motion to dismiss on June 24, 2021.

Biden In New Hampshire: What You Do Here In Iowa Is Going To Set The Tone

Former Vice President Joe Biden left audience members scratching their heads in New Hampshire over the weekend confusing the northeast state for Iowa -approximately 1,000 miles away.

The primary race for the United States presidency You have an incredible obligation, not to me at all, but to yourselves. What you do here in Iowa is going to set the tone, said Biden before correcting himself.

New Hampshire, the primary in New Hampshire, he added.

Joe Biden says he is in Iowa when he is actually in New Hampshire.

Iowa and New Hampshire are 1,000+ miles away from each other.

Tommy Pigott

Biden made a similar mistake earlier this year confusing New Hampshire for the neighboring state of Vermont.

Ive been here a number of timesI love this place. Look, whats not to like about Vermont in terms of the beauty of it? Biden told reporters.

Biden, who is in New Hampshire, thinks he is in Vermont

At some point, the media is going to have to stop calling this gaffes

Former President Donald Trumps team quietly launched a new social media platform on Thursday, billing it as an alternative to Big Tech sites.

But the debut immediately ran into confusion about whether it was the former presidents long-promised bid to offer his legions of followers their own social media haven or merely the next attempt to build a MAGA-alternative to the main platforms.

The site, called GETTR, advertised its mission statement as fighting cancel culture, promoting common sense, defending free speech, challenging social media monopolies, and creating a true marketplace of ideas. The app is currently in beta form and will be officially launched on July 4 at 10a.m.

Trumps former spokesman, Jason Miller, is leading the platform, he confirmed via text. Former Trump campaign spokesperson Tim Murtaugh is involved as a consultant on the app.

Trumps involvement with the project is unclear as is whether or not he will set up an account on GETTR and use it.

The former president is going to make his own decision, its certainly there and ready for him should he make the decision we would welcome that. There is an account reserved for him and waiting for him but thats a decision for him to make, said a person involved with the app.

Trump Supporters Are In Some Ways In An Abusive Relationship With Him

I noticed is really just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to establishing intimacy between Trump and his email recipients. Every rhetorician I spoke to for this story says that with his emails, Trump is attempting to construct a personal relationship with his audience. And its a very specific, very emotionally charged relationship.

Bostdorff argues that by building a sense of exclusivity around his donor list join the Trump Army, join the patriots, join me Trump is flattering his supporters, letting them into a secret elite. This flattery toward Trump supporters is matched by intense vitriol directed at all those who stand against Trump. And because Trump supporters are now in the club with Trump, they are also now against everyone he is against.

He doesnt have opponents, he has enemies, says Bostdorff. These are not people for his supporters to disagree with. They are enemies that have to be stopped at all costs.

Theres an implied personal relationship, says Stuckey. Which is a thing for Trump voters. She points to the prevalence of fundraising emails signed by Eric Trump and Don Jr. with variations on the line my father needs you.

Theres that contradiction there in general, with Trumps communication. Its assertive and aggressive on the one hand, and super needy and emotional on the other, says Stuckey. These emails fit that pattern. They imply this relationship where I already believe you to be strong, so its okay to cry in front of me.

Donald Trump’s Fiercest Critics Now Agree With His Covid Fighting Strategy

“There is no federal solution,” President Joe Biden told the nation’s governors last week while addressing surging COVID cases from the Omicron variant, the latest wrinkle in the coronavirus pandemic. “This gets solved at the state level.”

That’s exactly what then-President Donald Trump said in 2020. While campaigning for the presidency, Biden accused Trump of “not having a plan” to beat COVID, while he himself did. Now, with this apparent reversal of his campaign message, Biden seems to be channeling the position championed by his predecessor, who said in April 2020 that the federal government should be a “backstop” for whatever states chose to do to control their health emergencies.

“My message to the governors is simple. If you need something, say something,” Biden said on Dec. 27.

Trump’s handling of the pandemic was widely criticizedby Democrats, the media, foreign allies and adversaries as well as some in his own party. It was a key factor, perhaps the decisive factor, in his election defeat at the hands of Biden in November.

Biden’s tacit acknowledgment that Trump was right about the scope of a federal pandemic response and his explicit praise of Trump’s messaging on vaccines last month begs the question: What else might Trump have been right about?

Devin Nunes Formally Leaves Congress To Head Trump Social Media Company

Recently, former Rep. Devin Nunes announced his early departure from Congress to head up the social media company.

The time has come to reopen the Internet and allow for the free flow of ideas and expression without censorship, Nunes said in December. The United States of America made the dream of the Internet a reality and it will be an American company that restores the dream. Im humbled and honored President Trump has asked me to lead the mission and the world class team that will deliver on this promise.

The former president called Nunes a fighter and a leader who will make an excellent CEO of TMTG.

The release of Truth Social will come more than 13 months after Trump was banned from Facebook and Twitter in the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

He has repeatedly slammed the platforms decision to remove him and launched a separate communications outlet titled From the Desk of Donald J. Trump in May 2021.

One month later, however, the blog was shut down. At the time, Trump spokesman Jason Miller revealed that the move was a precursor to the former president joining another social media platform.

TMTG is also expected to release a subscription-based, on-demand video service, TMTG+, which is said to feature non-woke entertainment programming, news, podcasts, and more.

Donald Trump Bill O’reilly’s ‘history’ Tour Is Over Here’s What Happened

Former US President Donald Trump to address a summit in Florida | World News | WION

Donald Trump’s “History Tour” with former Fox host Bill O’Reilly concluded in Dallas on Sunday.

“Lots of energy and enthusiasm!” Trump said in a statement issued through spokeswoman Liz Harrington after the event, which also featured a photo showing the American Airlines Center appeared to be filled to capacity.

However, that event, like the preceding three stops on the tour, was reportedly far from sold out.

Despite the touting of massive crowds by both Trump and O’Reilly, photos and videos on social media show empty seats were a regular feature at venues throughout the tour.

Steven Monacelli wrote in Rolling Stone that he moved from the “cheap seats in the second section” to a “half-empty” center row closer to the stage.

A similar scenario had played out when the tour kicked off in Sunrise, Florida, on December 11. The top level of the “cavernous” FLA Live Arena was closed off and ticket holders were “upgraded” to the lower bowl, the Sun-Sentinel reported.

The following day’s event in Orlando’s Amway Center also didn’t sell out. The tour sold just 5,406 tickets despite a listed capacity of 8,700 and people who bought tickets to an upper bowl seat were upgraded to empty seats in the lower bowl, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

Donald Trump Just Launched A New Website Heres What We Know

Its been some time since any of us have heard directly from former President Donald J. Trump. For a while there, his public communications were limited to screenshots or statements printed on stationery marked Save America President Donald J. Trump and , like his lawyer Jenna Ellis.

Months after he was seen encouraging rioters to storm the U.S. Capitol in a violent insurrection and was banned from social media as a result Trump is back spreading his message on what the BBC is calling a new communications platform, which will upload statements and content directly from the former president himself. The platform allows its users to like and share Trumps comments on sites that have banned his presence like Twitter and Facebook. As BBC reports, the new platform announcement comes a day before Facebooks Oversight Board is set to re-examine its indefinite suspension of Trump.

While Trumps advisers, including Jason Miller, say that the new platform is going to be big, there were less charitable comments from tech experts like the New York Times Kara Swisher, who told the BBC that the new site is simply a blog. I was like, 2002 is calling and it wants its blog back, she said. Swisher also added what Trump intended for the site to be was still unclear, but one thing was certain: It is just the beginning of his attempts to try to re-establish a louder ability to participate in digital media.

New Emails Detail Trumps Efforts To Have Justice Department Take Up His False Election

President Donald Trumps staff began sending emails to Jeffrey Rosen, the No. 2 official at the Justice Department, asking him to embrace Trumps claims of voter fraud in the 2020 election at least 10 days before Rosen assumed the role of acting attorney general, according to new emails disclosed Tuesday by the House Committee on Oversight and Reform.

On the same day the electoral college met to certify the election results which was also the day Trump announced that William P. Barr would be stepping down as attorney general the presidents assistant sent Rosen an email with a list of complaints concerning the way the election had been carried out in Antrim County, Mich.

The file included a forensic analysis of the Dominion Voting Systems machines the county employed, alleging they were intentionally and purposefully calibrated to create fraudulent results. It also included talking points that could be used to counter any arguments against us.

Its indicative of what the machines can and did do to move votes, the document Trump sent to Rosen reads. We believe it has happened everywhere.

The claims were false, based on a report compiled by Allied Security Operations Group, a company led by a Republican businessman who pushed baseless allegations that the 2020 election was stolen.

Rosen did not respond to messages seeking comment. A spokesman for Trump did not respond to requests for comment.

This is an urgent matter, Olsen wrote.
