Russia Investigation Triggered By Trump Campaign Aide

Claim:I tell this story on occasion, very seldom, because its too sad to tell, but I tell this story because its very important. Russia, Russia, Russia was a hoax. It was developed by Hillary Clinton and a group of people, small group around a kitchen table, as a way of explaining why she lost an election that a lot of people thought she would win.

Facts: This is revisionist history. The hoax that Trump colluded with the Russians was not developed by Hillary Clinton and a group of people.

Here are the facts: In July 2016, the FBI began investigating the Russian governments attempt to influence the 2016 presidential election, including whether Trumps campaign associates were involved in those efforts. As explained in the DOJ inspector generals report in December 2019, the investigation of Trumps campaign was triggered when a Friendly Foreign Government, an Australian diplomat, learned from George Papadopoulos, a Trump campaign foreign policy adviser, that the Russians had damaging information on Clinton.

The investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller resulted in 37 indictments or guilty pleas including against 26 Russians and three Russian companies, as summarized by Vox. A redacted report written by Muellers office detailed how the Russians carried out an extensive social media campaign and targeted cyberattacks against Clinton and the Democratic Party committees to damage Clinton and help Trump.

Former President Donald Trump will hold his next campaign-style rally in Alabama later this month, his political organization announced Monday.

Trump will travel to Cullman, located about halfway between Birmingham and Huntsville on Interstate 65, to deliver remarks on Aug. 21, according to Save America. The rally will take place on the same day the state Republican Party holds its summer meeting, also in Cullman.

The 45th president won Alabama by more than 25 percentage points in both the 2016 and 2020 elections. However, while Trump traveled to the Yellowhammer State in 2019 to take in the college football showdown between Alabama and LSU, he has not delivered a speech in the state since September of 2017.

On that occasion, Trump visited Huntsville to campaign for then-Sen. Luther Strange in the special election to fill the seat of Jeff Sessions, whom Trump had tapped to be his attorney general. Strange lost a primary runoff to controversial jurist Roy Moore, who was in turn defeated by Democrat Doug Jones amid allegations of sexual misconduct by Moore.

Trump Rally Attendees Must Sign Disclaimer About Coronavirus

ANALYSIS It is time to take the notion Donald Trump has lost his grip over the Republican Party and flush it down the toilet.

That is what the then-president reportedly did with White House documents that he did not want to see the light of day, often clogging a commode in the West Wing. He appears to have taken some to his Florida resort and locked them in a safe, according to some accounts of a Monday FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago that we now know was approved by senior Justice Department officials, including Attorney General Merrick B. Garland.

The former president, in the latest remarkable and unprecedented moment of his political career, used a lengthy statement to announce the raid. It seems a wise political strategy because it left even his onetime Republican skeptics little choice but to join their GOP mates by immediately rallying around the MAGA flag.

Trump denounced the unannounced raid. He said it was not necessary or appropriate and ripped it as prosecutorial misconduct and the weaponization of the Justice System. He contended it was the work of the Radical Left Democrats who desperately dont want me to run for President in 2024.

And, following a blockbuster Washington Post report on Thursday evening that he had stolen information related to nuclear weapons, the former president accused the FBI of planting such sensitive documents in his basement storage area in Florida.

No Evidence Of A Rigged Election

Claim:Young guys come up, beautiful staffers, there are a lot of them here right now, and here, all over the place, that just came up to me. You won Pennsylvania by a lot, sir. Id go, Thats right. Youre right about that. Doug, I think at nine oclock in the evening, we were 950,000 votes up, with 73% of the vote cast? All of a sudden, around 3:02 or something, the equipment closed down. It all closed down. And then you had that massive spike. Remember the spike that went to heaven and came back? It should have gone to hell and come back. And all of a sudden we were tied, and then all of a sudden we lost by a whisper. A rigged election.

Facts: Trump lost Pennsylvania by about 80,000 votes, but the extended time needed to count ballots wasnt evidence that the states election was rigged.

As we wrotebefore the election, it was expected that counting the mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania would extend beyond Election Day. That was due to several factors. First, Pennsylvanians voted by mail for the first time in 2020 without a specific reason, due to bipartisan legislation approved by a Republican-controlled Legislature and signed by Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf in October 2019. That legislative change, combined with the pandemic, resulted in more than 2.6 million voters casting their ballots in the 2020 general election.

My opinion then and my opinion now is that the election was not stolen by fraud, former Attorney General William Barr told the committee.

Rep Moore Speaks On Upcoming Trump Rally

ENTERPRISE, Ala.

Earlier this month, it was announced that former President Donald Trump will be in Cullman next weekend for a Save America rally.

One of his strongest supporters is 2nd Congressional District Congressman Barry Moore.

Tuesday in Enterprise he talked about the upcoming rally and whether the former president is gearing up for a potential run in 2024.

Moore says he believes the rally is more about freedoms in America.

Trump, I think in a lot of ways is trying to help win House seats so as he travels to these states and Senate seats, 2nd Congressional District Rep, Barry Moore added. Obviously, hes not up for election right now, so I think hes trying to build a base for Congress to get the gavel away from Nancy Pelosi maybe get a majority in the Senate, because hes always kind of fought for those candidates and I think thats more what hes doing right now.

Moore plans to attend the rally in Cullman on August 21st.

Supporters Think Trump Was ‘set Up’

The crowd was on his side when it came to the FBI’s search.

This region supported Mr Trump in the 2020 election, even though Pennsylvania overall slipped from his grasp and chose Mr Biden.

Two supporters had already procured “Defund the FBI” T-shirts to wear to the rally.

Gail McCloskey, from the city of Altoona, nearly a three-hour drive away, told the BBC she thought the FBI visit was “a set up”.

Meanwhile, Kelly Borgogelli, 60, who had driven four hours from Buffalo, New York, to see Mr Trump, said: “They’re just going after him for pure hate.”

Asked if she believed any of the multiple accusations made against Mr Trump over the years – that he incited a violent mob to storm the US Capitol last year, that he improperly pressured Ukraine’s president to investigate his political enemies, or that he falsified claims of election fraud in 2020 – Mrs Borgogelli replied she did not.

“They’ve never given us any proof,” she said.

Her companion, Maureen Ewart, 62, said if the justice department actually charged Mr Trump, the country would be “divided”.

“It will be crowded out there, the streets will be full,” Ms Ewart said, emphasising that she did not condone violence – but feared any criminal charges against the former president could spark civil unrest.

At one point, Mr Trump himself claimed that the latest investigation into his possession of government documents was “going to produce a backlash” the likes of which the country had not seen before.

The rally could bring supporters from “Ohio and Pennsylvania and draw coverage from the Pittsburgh media,” according to the West Virginia Metro News. On Monday, President Trump is scheduled to visit Johnson City, Tennessee, for a rally in the Tri-Cities area. His Tennessee visit arrives six weeks before the midterm elections, which include an important race in Tennessee for the U.S. Senate between Republican Marsha Blackburn and Democrat Phil Bredesen.

Trumps Next Stop On The 2022 Revenge Tour: Arizona

QUEEN CREEK, ArizonaWhen it came time for Karrin Taylor Robson to take questions at a campaign stop last Thursday, the crowd didnt waste a moment to confront her with the most uncomfortable issue in her bid to be Arizonas next governor.

What will you do, asked one woman in the front row, to secure our elections?

Nods and affirming noises rippled through the crowd of roughly 150 people, who had come to see Robson speak in this far-flung suburb about 40 miles southeast of downtown Phoenix.

So the one thing I think we can all agree on is, the wrong guy is in the White House. Do we all agree? Robson asked.

After the predictable response from this audience of Republican loyalists, Robson put forward a conspiratorial explanation of why the 2020 election was stacked against Donald Trumpthe media, big tech, COVID, the Democratsand explained what changes to election rules shed make if elected.

But what Robson omitted entirely in her 2020 postmortem were the most outlandish theories and falsehoods about the electionthe ideas that now dominate that grassroots of Trumps GOP and are animating the campaign of her Trump-endorsed rival for the GOP nomination, Kari Lake.

Asked by The Daily Beast what she made of Robsons answer, Peg Ward, a former corporate executive in the audience, had a succinct answer. She pivoted, she said.

You dont ever put red meat in front of the bull, Coughlin said. You don’t do that.

Punching Back At The Department Of Justice

The former president is currently involved in a legal tussle with federal authorities over a cache of classified documents that the FBI seized last month.

Government authorities say Mr Trump improperly took and stored White House documents, including some marked “top secret” at his Florida home – the Mar-a-Lago resort.

Federal prosecutors now say he may have obstructed the investigation into his possession of the documents.

Mr Trump has previously spun investigations and attacks against him as “witch hunts”, and it was no different on Saturday.

He came out swinging, calling the FBI’s search “the shameful raid and break-in on my home in Mar-a-Lago” a “travesty”.

The former president has long built his appeal by casting himself and his supporters as political outsiders and persecuted figures.

Mr Trump linked his personal legal troubles to his supporters’ political frustrations, claiming: “We are being assaulted⦠by the FBI and DOJ.”

“It was not just my home that was raided⦠it was the hopes and dreams of every citizen who I’ve been fighting for since the moment I came down the golden escalator in 2015, wanting to represent the people,” he added, drawing boos from the crowd.
