Who Is Older Trump Or Biden

Donald Trump Was The Oldest Us President To Assume Office When He Was Inaugurated In 2016

Older Voters Abandoning Trump, Flocking to Biden

When the US goes to the polls in November, voters young and old will choose between the two oldest presidential candidates in the countrys history.

The issue of age has already been weaponised by the Trump campaign, labelling Joe Biden a dotty, sleepy, past-his-best politician despite being just three years the current presidents senior.

Bidens And Trumps Diets

Trump is famous for indulging in junk food. A steak and meat person, he shuns vegetables, and welcomes meatloaf, pork chops, and french fries. A lover of McDonalds, his security detail has ordered for him burgers, milk shakes, and Diet Coke. During his campaign, he also enjoys Kentucky Fried Chicken.Neither Biden nor Trump smoke or drink. However, Trumps vice is Diet Coke, of which he drinks several a day. Although it has no calories, sugar, or fat, it offers no nutrients. It has been linked to the development of type 2 diabetes and heart disease in several studies. Research has found that just one serving of an artificially sweetened drink per day is associated with an 813% higher risk of type 2 diabetes. Trump is overweight, he could be pre-diabetic or already a diabetic. He just tries to hide his condition.

Trump is not a breakfast person. Breakfast is the most important meal for us to build a healthy body. Health experts would suggest a big breakfast, but going easy on lunch and dinner. Too big of a dinner would affect our digestive system and sleep. If you have dessert as well with dinner, the sugar will go right into your bloodstream, and it will turn into fat later.

We are what we eat. For not eating breakfast, add one year to Trumps age. Eating junk food and lots of meat, add two years. Being overweight, add one more year.

For Bidens healthy eating, we subtract one year from his age.

Bidens Overall Job Approval Stagnates But Covid

Bidens approval ratings have plummeted since taking office. Iowans disapprove of the job he’s doing as president by about a 2-to-1 margin.

Bidens job approval has not been in net positive territory in Iowa since March. Then, 47% of Iowans approved of his performance and 44% disapproved.

Today, one-third of all Iowa adults, 33%, say they approve of the job Biden is doing, up 2 percentage points from the Registers last Iowa Poll, in September 62% disapprove and 6% are not sure.

This is not a good approval rating by any definition, Selzer said.

Biden is rated poorly for his handling of a range of issues. Fewer than one-third of all Iowans approve of his handling of immigration, criminal justice, the economy and the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.

On those specific issues:

Hommer, a truck driver, said hes spending significantly more to fuel up when he goes to the pump. He blames Biden for rising fuel prices after the president halted construction of the Keystone XL pipeline and tried, unsuccessfully, to pause new oil and gas drilling on federal lands.

Everythings gone up, so I almost cant afford to live, he said.

The one policy area where Bidens approval has improved slightly is his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, 41% of Iowans say they approve, while 57% say they disapprove. In September, 36% approved and 60% disapproved.

Biden Works Out Trump Does Not

Who Is Older: Donald Trump or Joe Biden?

Lean and fit, Biden works out five days a week. Trump likes to sit and watch hours of television, especially Fox News. The amount of sitting would explain why Trump is obese. At 63, he weighs 244 lbs. Healthy experts say he should weigh 10 pounds less. At six feet, Biden weighs about 185 lbs. For his vigorous workouts and lean body, we subtract one year from his age.

For someone in such a demanding job like Trumps and doesnt exercise, it clearly affects his temper. Exercise can release tension and stress. It boosts our spirit. That explains why Trump is often in bad moods.

The White House can provide the worlds best gym to accommodate any presidents needs. It also has a swimming pool. The White House exercise room is probably underutilized because Trump doesnt use it. The Clintons and Obamas made good use of it.

Trump golfs at his own private golf courses on weekends. Exercising once a week is not sufficient. He has gained four pounds since 2018. But given his tight campaign schedule, I doubt he has much time to golf lately. There is no question, his body is in terrible shape. Add one more year to his real age for not exercising.

Trump Vs Biden: The Two 70

Joe Biden laughed off President Donald Trump’s suggestion Friday that the former vice president is too old to run for the Oval Office.

“If he looks young and vibrant compared to me, I should probably go home,” Biden, 76, quipped in an appearance on ABC’s “The View.”

“The best way to judge me is to watch, see if I have the energy and capacity. It’s a show-me business.”

Earlier, Trump, 72, said that Biden and other 2020 candidates are “making me look very young, both in terms of age and I think in terms of energy.”

“Well, I think that I just feel like a young man. I’m so young. I can’t believe it. I’m the youngest person. I am a young, vibrant man,” the president said. “I look at Joe I don’t know about him. I don’t know.”

The Age Of The Elderly Candidate: How Two Septuagenarians Came To Be Running For President

Biden and Trump have been eager to prove their virility, calling into question what effect old age has on the leader of the US

I woke up and I felt good, Donald Trump told supporters at a campaign rally in Arizona, slamming the side of his lectern as he described hospitalisation with the coronavirus. I said, Get me out of here. Boom! Superman!

As the US president mimed Clark Kent ripping up open his shirt to reveal the Man of Steels S logo, the crowd chanted: Superman! Superman! Superman! The rally ended with loudspeakers booming Y.M.C.A by Village People: Young man, theres no need to feel down

Seventy-four years old and clinically obese, Trump appears eager to prove his virility. He is fighting an election against a man who is even older Joe Biden turns 78 next month. If Biden wins, he will eclipse Trumps own record as the oldest person to be sworn in as president.

The statistics are counterintuitive in a society that can often seem obsessed with youth. Voters thirst for change did not prevent this election being contested by two septuagenarian white men. But it has fuelled debate over whether the mental and physical toll of old age could impair the decision-making of the person with the nuclear codes.

It is Biden, however, who is more historically unusual. The last five Democratic presidents were John F Kennedy , Lyndon Johnson , Carter , Bill Clinton and Barack Obama . For Republicans, Trump fits a more familiar pattern.

Biden Works Out Five Days Per Week Physician Says

The Democratic campaign had also made the case that Mr Biden wasn’t an average septuagenarian.

His physician, Kevin O’Connor, in a medical report released by the campaign in December, described Mr Biden as “healthy, vigorous fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency, to include those as Chief Executive, Head of State and Commander-in-Chief.”

Dr O’Connor reported that Mr Biden works out five days a week. The president-elect told supporters that during the pandemic he has relied on home workouts involving a Peloton bike, treadmill and weights.

In 1988, Mr Biden suffered two life-threatening brain aneurysms, an experience that he wrote in his memoir shaped him into the “kind of man I want to be”.

Dr O’Connor also noted in his report that Mr Biden has an irregular heartbeat, but it has not required any medication or other treatment. He also had his gall bladder removed in 2003.

Elizabeth Warren Is 70 & Seven Years Younger Than Biden

Elizabeth Warren, meanwhile, is 70, which makes her seven years younger than Biden and eight years younger than Sanders. She was born on June 22, 1949.

Warren made a comment during the Democratic debate in December that she would be the youngest woman ever nominated if she got the Democratic nomination.

Her comment was made in response to a question asked in the December debate based on a comment that Obama had recently made about how the country might be better off if it was run by women rather than older people.

Next in age is Tom Steyer, who is 62. He was born on June 27, 1957.

Pete Buttigieg, meanwhile, is 37. He was mayor of South Bend, Indiana since 2012 and was in the U.S. Navy Reserve from 2009 to 2017. He was born on January 19, 1982.

Amy Klobuchar is 59. She was born on May 25, 1960.

Andrew Yang, who was on the stage last month but didnt qualify this month, recently turned 45. He was born on January 13, 1975.

Joe Biden Joins The Four Oldest Presidents Of Us History

President-elect Joe Biden will make history when he takes office next year as the oldest president at the time of inauguration.

The Democratic lion is now 77, but will turn 78 later this month either of which would easily earn him the record.

President Trump made a campaign issue of Bidens advanced age, questioning whether he had the mental acuity to lead the nation.

Biden, however, has not only shrugged off concerns about his age, but said that he was open to running for a potential second stint.

Heres how he stacks up to the eldest of elder statesmen, at various points in their presidencies and lives.

Too Old For 2020 Trump Biden Bernie And The Politics Of Age

While the field of candidates for the next presidential election is still taking shape, it is likely to include the oldest person ever to seek the office.

President Trump, already the oldest first-term president in U.S. history, has begun campaigning for re-election and will be 74 by election day 2020. Though undecided about a run, former Vice President Joe Biden, who tops most early Democratic polls, will be just shy of 78, and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders will be 79.

They may be old, but they want voters to know theyre still in fighting trim. If I were in high school, Id take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him, Biden said of Trump, in answer to a question about the presidents crude comments about women.

That prompted Trump to assure the nation that he would get the better of the hypothetical fist fight.

Crazy Joe Biden is trying to act like a tough guy. Actually, he is weak, both mentally and physically, and yet he threatens me, for the second time, with physical assault. He doesnt know me, but he would go down fast and hard, crying all the way. Dont threaten people Joe!

Donald J. Trump

But will young voters, mobilized by the movement that has sprung up in response to the high school shooting in Parkland, Fla., turn out for candidates well into their 70s?

Dean, who is 69 now but was 55 when he ran for president, believes Democrats should aim to motivate young voters by nominating a candidate with less gray hair and more youthful energy.

Who Is The Outlier Trump Or Biden The Answer Means Much To The World

For much of Donald Trumps chaotic, dysfunctional and norm-defying four-year presidency, traditional liberals comforted themselves with the belief that he was, essentially, an aberration.

Trumps election, they reasoned, was a knee-jerk backlash to Americas first Black president, a fluke of an antiquated electoral system. Trump, with all his boorish disregard for democratic traditions, was merely the whimpering last stand of the angry white man before the shifting demographics and ideologies in the United States tipped the balance of power for good in favor of progressives. Joe Bidens election seemed to confirm this hypothesis.

But ten months into Bidens administration, the question must be asked: who will history ultimately judge as the outlier? Trump or Biden? In other words, perhaps Trump was really the first of his kind while the moderate Biden is in fact the last of his?

Trumps impressive sticking power and his stranglehold on a Republican party remade in his image suggests he represents no passing fad. The extremist response to him within the Democratic party has created a generational shift that leaves old-school liberals in line with Biden feeling out of touch with the times, and out of sync with this new hyper-partisan reality.

Looming above it all is a dangerous worldwide slide toward authoritarianism that is only growing stronger with a debilitated and divided America unable to offer a strong counterbalance.

The Youth Vote Is New But Dont Assume It Necessarily Favors A Young President

Trump slams Biden for not taking questions and teases live RNC

Lately, its been hard to ignore the unbearable oldness of American politics. Donald Trump, the countrys oldest first-term president at 74, was born the year the bikini was invented. Joe Biden, the 77-year-old Democratic nominee, is older thanthemicrowave. Bernie Sanders, 79, was born shortly before the attack on Pearl Harbor, the same year you could first buy a packet of M& Ms. Two of the highest-profile women candidates for president Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren were also born in the 1940s, at least a decade before little girls started to play with Barbie dolls.

The graying of the American presidency is especially notable because our nations most visionary presidents have typically been young. Theodore Roosevelt, who became the youngest president ever at 42, had the foresight to preserve roughly 230 million acres of public land for future generations to enjoy. John F. Kennedy, inaugurated at 43 with the cry that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans, found some common cause with the civil rights movement, vowed to put a man on the moon, and started the Peace Corps to spread American values around the world. Barack Obama, who became president at 46, shielded young undocumented immigrants from deportation and committed to the Paris climate agreement, aimed at preserving the planet for future generations.
