NEW POLL: 47 percent SUPPORT Trump running for PRESIDENT in 2024

Former Trump administration officials have created a national faith advisory board to continue their work outside the White House, and Trump gave the group his blessing, calling into a conference call announcing the board last Thursday.

On the call, Trump criticized President Joe Bidens handling of religious issues and talked up actions he took in office that are popular with evangelicals, like formally recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. One of my greatest honors was fighting for religious liberty and for defending the Judeo-Christian values and principles of our nations founding, Trump said according to Religion News Service.

The National Faith Advisory Board was co-founded by Paula White, a televangelist and former adviser to the Trump administrations Faith and Opportunity Initiative, as well as former Office of Public Liaison officials Jennifer Korn and Amanda Robbins Vargo.

Trump May Run In 2024 So Might They Its Getting Awkward

Former President Donald J. Trumps unwillingness to cede the spotlight has cast doubt on the political futures of several Republican politicians.

With all the subtlety of a bullhorn, former President Donald J. Trump has been hinting that he plans to run for office again in 2024.

And Republicans are so far treating him with the deference they displayed while he was in the White House as they wait to see if he makes his move.

On Saturday afternoon, Mr. Trump heads to Iowa for a rally at the state fairgrounds, a perennial stop on the presidential campaign circuit. Joining him will be several of the states top Republicans, including Gov. Kim Reynolds, Senator Charles E. Grassley and the chairman of the Iowa Republican Party, Jeff Kaufmann a testament to the former presidents enduring dominance.

Mr. Trumps unwillingness to cede the spotlight has cast doubt on the political futures of an entire group of Republican politicians who have suggested that they might someday want to run for president. And while they like the rest of the country cant be sure what the notoriously fickle former president might do, some of them are trying to stake their claims as leaders in the party.

That requires a good deal of delicacy on their part. And it got a little awkward this week for two of them.

Trump Says He Is Beyond Seriously Considering 2024 White House Run

So, they have a deal, the former president added, and then Biden canceled the deal, because the radical left said, You cant make that deal that deals no good. We want to spend $6 trillion.’

Earlier Wednesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reiterated her insistence that the House will not consider the bipartisan bill unless the Senate passes the $1.8 trillion American Families Plan legislation first. Senate Democrats would be able to pass the larger bill with 51 votes through the parliamentary procedure of reconciliation, provided all 50 members of their conference are on board and enable Vice President Kamala Harris, as president of the Senate, to break a presumptive 50-50 tie.

Trump traveled to Texas Wednesday to accompany the states Republican governor, Greg Abbott, on a tour of the US-Mexico border region. During his visit, the former president hammered the Biden administrations immigration policies, which Republicans have blamed for a surge in people attempting to cross the border illegally.

We had the tightest security. You could come into our country legally, Trump told Hannity. But you know what else we were stopping? Massive amounts of drugs, human traffickers, bad, bad people, criminals theyre emptying their jails into our country. You know, other countries are emptying their jails into our country.

We never had it better, and now weve never had it worse, in the history of our country.

What Has Trumps Campaign Said About Running In 2024

im not really running for president kimmels donald

It was reported that “preliminary planning” had started to kick off a new Trump bid but no further decisions have been made, report CBS.

The presidents former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon claimed that Trump would not miss a shot to run for office again if given the chance.

Bannon told The Australian: “I’ll make this prediction right now: If for any reason the election is stolen from or in some sort of way Joe Biden is declared the winner, Trump will announce he’s going to run for re-election in 2024,” he said.

“You’re not going to see the end of Donald Trump.”

Some government officials even suggested that the GOP would not function or exist if Trump is not president.

Former Trump Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur said: “Whether in three days or in three years, the Republican Party will have to grapple with the basic question: Does the GOP exist without Trump? Not his message, not his policies, but Trump himself.

“It’s like asking if the John Wick franchise works without Keanu Reeves.”

Bryan Lanza, former communications director for the president’s transition team, said he can “make a strong case to run again.”.

Lanza added that Trump “would be younger than Biden is now” if he ran again in 2024.

Biden took office at 78 years old.

Speaking on the Today program, Lanza said: “Biden will have the opportunity to guide this country out of Covid, and well see what his successes and failures are.”

How Did Donald Trump Hint At A Return To The White House

After the news broke that for at least two years, he released a statement implying his return to the presidency.

He said: Next time Im in the White House there will be no more dinners, at his request, with and his wife. It will be all business!

On June 4, officially disclosed their decision to ban the former president from the social media platform for two years, extending his suspension following the insurrection on January 6.

Facebook said: At the end of this period, if we determine that there is still a serious risk to public safety, we will extend the restriction for a set period of time and continue to re-evaluate until that risk has receded.

After his loss in the 2020 presidential race, it was reported by several major outlets that Trump continued to believe that he would be reinstated as the Commander in Chief.

Adam Schiff Is Worried About American Democracy

Despite Republicans enthusiasm for a Trump comeback, however, the American electorate as a whole is much cooler on the notion. The latest HarrisX/The Hill poll found that registered voters overall opposed Trump running again, 53 percent to 47 percent. Independents were against the idea 58 percent to 42 percent. The margin was even wider according to Morning Consult/Politico and Quinnipiac . Quinnipiac also offered some more inauspicious numbers for the ex-president, such as his 39 percent to 52 percent overall favorable/unfavorable ratings and the fact that Americans felt, 51 percent to 41 percent, that he has had a mainly negative impact on American politics.

But these underwater numbers dont mean Trump would be guaranteed to lose the 2024 general election. While its definitely too early to hang your hat on any 2024 general-election polls, a Selzer & Co./Grinnell College poll conducted Oct. 13-17 found that 40 percent of likely 2024 voters would vote for President Biden, and 40 percent of likely 2024 voters would vote for Trump. Theres plenty of time for those numbers to change, of course, but even against an unpopular Trump, no one should assume Biden, should he run again, will win reelection in a landslide.

Who Is Brave Enough To Be Trump’s 2024 Running Mate

At Reagan National Airport, I saw a newsstand selling t-shirts with Donald Trump asking, Do you miss me yet? But how can we miss him if he never went away?

The 45th president vacated the White House but not the news cycle, and Republicans want more. Last week, a Hill-HarrisX poll found 77 percent of GOP voters support a Trump 2024 run, as did a Quinnipiac poll, reporting 78 percent support.

Although 2024 is three years away, it appears that Trump has claimed the Republican presidential nomination unless derailed by a severe health, legal or political crisis worse than two impeachments.

If Trump runs again, he is essentially the incumbent, Matt Schlapp, the influential chairman of the annual CPAC conference, told me in a recent interview. Then this week, Trump released a statement quoting GOP pollster John McLaughlin, who says, Trump would win in a landslide right now. He would beat either Biden or Harris. Hes ahead of Harris 49 to 46 in the poll.

More constructive than long lists of specific names this early in the 2024 cycle are questions and answers that complicate Trumps search for a Number Two.

First, any prospective VP should examine the post-election conflict between Trump and Pence, asking themselves: On Jan. 6, would I have acquiesced to Trumps demands or acted like Pence in accordance with the VPs constitutional role? Inevitably, candidates must be prepared for that question with the correct answer a litmus test for selection.

Will Trump Run For President In 2024

Trump will run for president again in 2024

There has been no official announcement from the former president on whether he will run for office in 2024.

But Trump has left open the door on whether he will try to reclaim the White House. He launched a political action committee, dubbed Save America, soon after Biden won the Electoral College in November 2020.

After social media posts about the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, Trump was permanently banned from Twitter and indefinitely banned from Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. He recently launched a digital platform, the Truth Social app.

How Old Would Trump Be In 2024

Born in 1946, Trump is 75 years old currently. In 2024, he would be aged 78, which happens to be Bidens current age. The argument would be that if Biden can run for the presidency at 78, so can Trump.

After Bidens botched-up Afghanistan exit, many people think that Trump was better at dealing with the Taliban. However, Biden said that he only followed the deal that Trump made with the Taliban.

People Who Talk To Trump Say Hes Running Again

Longtime Trump adviser Jason Miller told Cheddar News last Thursday that the chance Trump runs again was somewhere between 99, 100%.

Biden Says He Started The Vaccination Program Despite Trump Rollout

Former President Donald Trump said Wednesday he had made up his mind about whether he would seek to regain the White House in 2024, but declined to actually say whether he would launch yet another presidential campaign.

Youre not going to answer, but I have to ask, Fox News host Sean Hannity told Trump at a town hall event in Edinburg, Texas.

Where are you in the process, or let me ask you this, without giving the answer have you made up your mind?

Yes, Trump responded, generating applause from the friendly audience.

I think you got it right, Hannity told the crowd, referring to their presumption that the 45th president would enter the 2024 presidential sweepstakes.

Trump has laid the groundwork for a potential run in conventional and unconventional ways in recent months.

He addressed the annual Conservative Political Action Conference in Florida this past February and has held or is planning to hold campaign-style rallies in the battleground states of Florida, Georgia, Ohio and North Carolina.

The former president has also continued to rail against the 2020 election result, insisting without evidence that the outcome was fraudulent and taking aim at onetime political allies like Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and former Attorney General Bill Barr.

Terrifying For American Democracy: Is Trump Planning For A 2024 Coup

Donald Trump Announces He

Republicans are vying for critical positions in many states from which they could launch a far more effective power-grab than Trumps 2020 effort

At 1.35pm on 6 January, the top Republican in the US Senate, Mitch McConnell, stood before his party and delivered a dire warning.

If they overruled the will of 81 million voters by blocking Joe Bidens certification as president in a bid to snatch re-election for the defeated candidate, Donald Trump, it would damage our Republic forever.

Five minutes before he started speaking, hundreds of Trump supporters incited by the then presidents false claim that the 2020 election had been stolen broke through Capitol police lines and were storming the building. McConnells next remark has been forgotten in the catastrophe that followed the inner sanctums of Americas democracy defiled, five people dead, and 138 police officers injured.

He said: If this election were overturned by mere allegations from the losing side, our democracy would enter a death spiral. Wed never see the whole nation accept an election again. Every four years would be a scramble for power at any cost.

Eleven months on, McConnells words sound eerily portentous. What could be construed as an anti-democratic scramble for power at any cost is taking place right now in jurisdictions across the country.

The idea of the stolen election continues to spread like an airborne contagion.

Christies Calculus: Trump Is In The Rearview Mirror

The former New Jersey governor is mounting a de facto exploratory bid for president and its put him on a collision course with his one-time ally.

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie waves to the crowd following his speech at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual leadership meeting at The Venetian hotel-casino on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, in Las Vegas. |

He doesnt actually say the name Donald Trump when he lays out whats wrong with the Republican Party.

But its obvious who Chris Christie is talking about in recent speeches, interviews and in a new book thats set for release next week.

The former New Jersey governor has launched what amounts to a de facto exploratory bid for president, and its already put him on a collision course with his longtime political ally.

While Christies criticism of the partys focus on the 2020 election results and subtle knocks on other aspects of Trumps term are designed to create a distinct lane for him in the 2024 primary, hes also courting confrontation with a former president who still commands the loyalty of the Republican base.

Hes traveling the country, saying what he learned and saying hes not afraid of Donald Trump. That sets him out in a different lane from anyone else who might run for president in the party, said veteran Republican strategist Scott Reed. Christie is a guy who knows how to create a narrative. He can throw a punch and he can take a punch.
