How Is Running Against Trump

You Cant Leave It To The Democrats

Do Democrats Know How To Win Without Running Against Trump?

Radio host Howard Stern has claimed he would beat Donald Trump in a White House bid in 2024.

The SiriusXM host said that running for president could be his civic duty if Trump sought a second term.

I would just sit there and play that fing clip of him trying to fix the election over and over again, Stern said, in reference to Trumps call with Brad Raffensperger where he asked the Georgia secretary of state about evidence of election fraud.

Theres no way Id lose, Stern claimed.

The radio host comments come amid topics ranging from Trump officials defying congressional subpoenas and vaccine mandates.

If Trump decides to run again, you have to run against him, co-host Robin Quivers said with a laugh.

Thats my plan.

I know. Ill beat his ass, Stern exclaimed.

You cant leave it to the Democrats, Quivers responded.

Earlier this year, former White House advisor Jason Miller said Trump would definitely run for president in 2024.

Miller said:

I would say the likelihood is somewhere between 99 and 100%.

I think hes definitely running in 2024.

I had a good conversation with him last night Im going to go see him in a couple of days here.

He hasnt said the magical words to me, but if you talk to him for a few minutes, its pretty clear that hes running.

Meanwhile, a vast majority of American voters dont want Democrat Joe Biden to run for reelection in 2024, a new mainstream poll has revealed earlier this week.

These Trump Fans Were At The Capitol On 6 January Now Theyre Running For Office

From Wisconsin to New Hampshire participants in a day that became a deadly assault on Congress are seeking election to it

One of the candidates filmed himself on the Capitol steps. Another clambered over scaffolding and waved others forward towards the building. Still more were outside, milling around and protesting against the lawful election of Joe Biden.

Of the thousands of diehard Trump supporters who gathered in Washington on 6 January, some are now beginning to emerge as Republican candidates for national and local office.

The electoral chances of each person vary, but they add to the extremist political landscape, ahead of midterm elections in 2022 that could potentially see Democrats lose the House of Representatives.

Teddy Daniels is running for Congress in Pennsylvania, where he aims to oust Representative Matt Cartwright. On 6 January he was at the US Capitol, where he posted a video as people surged into the building.

I Am Here. God Bless Our Patriots, Daniels wrote. The video was posted about an hour and a half after Trump supporters breached the Capitol.

Daniels did not respond to a request for comment. Daniels isnt just a fringe no-hoper. Vice News reported that he has been endorsed by Michael Flynn, and spent time with Donald Trump at the former presidents New Jersey golf course this summer.

He did not respond to further questions.

Van Orden did not respond to a request for comment.

Democrats Are Worried About Us Democracy They’ve Got Limited Tools To Protect It

In New Jersey, Democratic turnout was nothing short of embarrassing and the incumbent governor, Phil Murphy, nearly lost. Republican turnout was dandy, especially outside the urban-suburban corridor from metro Philadelphia to metro New York.

But here again, Trump had not been a major factor in the race, despite being a frequent presence in the state that is home to his Bedminster golf club. Jack Ciattarelli, the Republican who nearly won, had spoken at a “Stop the Steal” rally in 2020. But in June, he billed himself as “an Abraham Lincoln Republican” after defeating two primary rivals who ran on Trump’s false claims about the 2020 election.

In short, both parties were left to contemplate how well Republicans ran without Trump being either on the ballot or in office, while Democrats found it hard to hold the gains they had been making in the suburbs in the Trump years. Those gains had been the key to the Democrats’ capturing the House in 2018 and the White House in 2020.

It does not take much imagination to add that the suburbs are likely to be the key battleground again next year, when the stakes will be control of the House and Senate and 36 governorships.

One might have expected more sympathy from Christie, whose long history with Trump included prepping him for the debates with then-candidate Biden in the fall of 2020.

Terrifying For American Democracy: Is Trump Planning For A 2024 Coup

Republicans are vying for critical positions in many states from which they could launch a far more effective power-grab than Trumps 2020 effort

At 1.35pm on 6 January, the top Republican in the US Senate, Mitch McConnell, stood before his party and delivered a dire warning.

If they overruled the will of 81 million voters by blocking Joe Bidens certification as president in a bid to snatch re-election for the defeated candidate, Donald Trump, it would damage our Republic forever.

Five minutes before he started speaking, hundreds of Trump supporters incited by the then presidents false claim that the 2020 election had been stolen broke through Capitol police lines and were storming the building. McConnells next remark has been forgotten in the catastrophe that followed the inner sanctums of Americas democracy defiled, five people dead, and 138 police officers injured.

He said: If this election were overturned by mere allegations from the losing side, our democracy would enter a death spiral. Wed never see the whole nation accept an election again. Every four years would be a scramble for power at any cost.

Eleven months on, McConnells words sound eerily portentous. What could be construed as an anti-democratic scramble for power at any cost is taking place right now in jurisdictions across the country.

The idea of the stolen election continues to spread like an airborne contagion.

Joe Walsh Says He

A New York judge has tossed Michael Cohens long-running lawsuit against the Trump Organization, taking former-President Trumps family company off the hook for his former attorneys over $1.9 million legal fees.

Judge Joel M. Cohen ruled Friday that Cohens breach of contract lawsuit against the company, filed in March 2019 after the former fixer pleaded guilty to tax evasion and other crimes, cannot go forward.

Cohen no relation to the judge had originally sought restitution for the legal bills racked up as special counsel Robert Mueller and several congressional committees investigated his onetime boss.

Mr. Cohens legal fees arise out of his service to Mr. Trump personally, to Mr. Trumps campaign, and to the Trump Foundation, but not out of his service to the business of the Trump Organization, which is the only defendant in this case, the judge wrote.

Unfair and asking for everyones assistance, Cohens lawyer Lanny Davis tweeted in response to the ruling with a plug for his clients GoFundMe campaign, which has raised less than half of its $500,000 goal.

The Trump Organization issued a statement calling the ruling incredible victory and threatened a countersuit over Cohens despicable conduct.

Cohen has been spotted in recent weeks hanging out with Kanye West on the Upper East Side despite still nominally being under house arrest for his 2018 conviction.

Fmr White House Staffer: Pence Is Ashamed Of Trump Will Run Against Him 2024

It is conceivable that someone could have some success in running against Trump, but it seems like it would have to be someone who could be just as big a bully, someone like Chris Christie. It will not be Mike Pence.

However, Trumps comments released this last week about it being common sense to want Pence strung up has some former Pence staffers talking.

Alyssa Farah, who was once Pences press secretary before she went on to become Trumps White House Director of Strategic Communications, had some choice words for Trump after hearing his comments:

Its comments like that that will never make me feel bad for never again defending Donald Trump, because as you said its completely indefensible.

It is almost indefensible that she ever felt bad not defending Trump. Farah had some other words about not worrying about Pence:

What about the other 535 lawmakers who dont have security details?

It was fine that their lives might be threatened because of this? Its just absurd, its indefensible, and I have to hope that conservatives and Republicans of good faith hear things like that and say, We dont need four more years of this man.

Theres aspects of the record they did together that I know Pence is proud of, but I know he is ashamed of that day, he is ashamed of how the former president conducted himself.

I think he will.

Mike Pence Will ‘put Up A Formidable Fight’ Against Trump In 2024 Former Adviser Predicts

An ex-adviser to Mike Pence believes the former vice president will run against Donald Trump in 2024, predicting that Pence will “put up a formidable fight.”

Alyssa Farah, who served as Pence’s press secretary from October 2017 to September 2019 and the White House director of strategic communications from April 2020 to December 2020, has become highly critical of Trump in the wake of his response to the last presidential election. Farah has blamed Trump for inciting the January 6 attack against the U.S. Capitol.

In a Saturday interview with CNN, Farah was asked about Pence’s 2024 plans as many speculate he could mount a GOP presidential primary bid. However, Trumphis former bossis seen as the clear frontrunner despite not officially announcing his intention to run.

“I think he will run,” Farah asserted, however she explained that this was just her personal speculation and not based on firsthand knowledge of his plans.

“There’s this belief that people are just going to clear the field for Trump. I actually think some folks are teeing up to run. I think Pence could be one of them,” she said.

Farah suggested that Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo may be planning to run in 2024 as well.

“It’s a good thing for the Party,” she said.

Farah also argued that Pence would be a good contender against Trump.

Trump Ally Roger Stone Issues Threat To Ron Desantis If He Tries Running For President

Roger Stone, a felon and longtime confidant of Donald Trump, has warned Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis that he aims to block the Republican governors reelection by running against him unless DeSantis pledges not to participate in the 2024 presidential race.

Stone, a Florida resident, told CBS Miami on Friday that he has no illusions about my ability to become elected governor, adding: Thats not the point here.

But Stone is convinced he could siphon off enough votes to ruin DeSantis reelection chances next year. Stone said he would run in the race as a Libertarian or for another third party, CBS reported.

The warning from Stone was an attempt to scare off a potentially daunting contender for his pal Trump in the 2024 race though Stone claimed he believed any state governor should commit to completing a full term.

Trump boasted last month that he would beat DeSantis in a Republican presidential primary revealing that such a match-up is on his mind.

Stone told CBS that DeSantis should pledge to the people of Florida that he will fill out all four years of a second term before reelection.

What I dont want to see is for him to be reelected and then immediately abandon Florida to run off and run for president, particularly if hes running against Donald Trump, he added.

DeSantis has said that hes running for reelection and has called speculation that hell make a stab at the presidency manufactured.

Polls Point To Clear Top Tier

Can Democrats win state races by running against Trump?

Joe Biden was the accepted frontrunner in this race throughout 2019. After serving as Barack Obama’s vice-president for eight years, he had strong name recognition and held a clear lead in national polls.

His numbers dipped at the start of 2020 though and Bernie Sanders overtook him in the RealClearPolitics national average after a strong showing in the Iowa caucuses. Biden, however, won by a big margin in South Carolina, which helped boost his poll numbers before he then swept the South on Super Tuesday.

Election To The Presidency

On November 8, 2016, Trump received 306 pledged electoral votes versus 232 for Clinton. The official counts were 304 and 227 respectively, after defections on both sides. Trump received nearly 2.9 million fewer popular votes than Clinton, which made him the fifth person to be elected president while losing the popular vote. Clinton was ahead nationwide with 65,853,514 votes to 62,984,828 votes .

Trump’s victory was considered a stunning political upset by most observers, as polls had consistently showed Hillary Clinton with a nationwide though diminishing lead, as well as a favorable advantage in most of the competitive states. Trump’s support had been modestly underestimated throughout his campaign, and many observers blamed errors in polls, partially attributed to pollsters overestimating Clinton’s support among well-educated and nonwhite voters, while underestimating Trump’s support among white working-class voters. The polls were relatively accurate, but media outlets and pundits alike showed overconfidence in a Clinton victory despite a large number of undecided voters and a favorable concentration of Trump’s core constituencies in competitive states.

In September 2020, Trump was nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize. A far-right Norwegian politician nominated Trump’s name citing his role in the peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

Gop Trying To Recruit Candidate To Run Against Trump

Despite having just pulled off an improbable victory with Glenn Youngkins win in Virginia on Tuesday, the Republican Party is already at odds with itself, at least in one key race.

Instead of focusing on the important campaign issues, Pennsylvania Republicans are trying to recruit a new candidate to run for Senate despite the fact that there is already a strong candidate in the race who has been endorsed by President Trump.

The GOPs preferred candidate is businessman and former Treasury Department official David McCormick.

McCormick would also be a carpetbagger: He lives in Connecticut, not Pennsylvania.
