Mrs Trump has largely steered clear of the political fray, confining her appearances to standing by her husband’s side. “I chose not to go into politics and policy,” she said in a 2016 interview with GQ. “Those policies are my husband’s job.”
Her one big moment of the 2016 campaign came when she took centre stage on the first day of the Republican National Convention in July for the traditional spousal speech, and it did not go well.
In 2018 she generated huge controversy after wearing a jacket with the words “I really don’t care, do you?” written on the back on a trip to a migrant child detention centre.
“It was for the people and for the left-wing media who are criticising me,” she later told ABC news. “I want to show them I don’t care.”
Despite these incidents she remains something of an unknown quantity compared with her predecessors. According to GQ, she does advise her husband, but is tight-lipped about what that consists in.
“Nobody knows and nobody will ever know,” she said. “Because that’s between me and my husband.”

Summer Zervos, a former contestant on The Apprentice, was one of a number of women who made allegations of sexual misconduct against Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential race.
She accuses Mr Trump of sexually assaulting her at a Beverly Hills hotel in 2007.
Ms Zervos says that he groped her and “began thrusting his genitals” during a meeting to discuss employment opportunities.
While president-elect, Mr Trump dismissed the allegations against him and said that Ms Zervos and other accusers were “sick” and driven by fame, money or politics.
Ms Zervos filed a defamation law suit against Mr Trump in January 2017, but his lawyers argued that as the president he could not be sued.
A judge in New York has now overturned that decision, meaning that Ms Zervos’s case against the president will continue.

A former Playboy model apologized to first lady Melania Trump for a 10-month affair she claims she had with President Donald Trump that started with him offering her money after the first time they had sex.
During an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper that aired Thursday night, Karen McDougal said Trump tried to pay her after their first sexual tryst at a bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel in 2006.
“Well, after we had been intimate, he, he tried to pay me. And I actually didn’t know how to take that,” she said. “But I looked at him and I said, ‘That’s not me. I’m not that kind of girl.'”

The interview prompted accusations of misogyny.
Mrs Trump has also sued the Daily Mail over an article she claims implies that she was a sex worker in the 1990s. The newspaper agreed to pay damages and apologised to the First Lady in April 2017.

Early Life Family And Education
Melanija Knavs was born in , Yugoslavia, now part of present-day Slovenia, on April 26, 1970. Her father, Viktor Knavs , was from the nearby town of Radee and managed car and motorcycle dealerships for a state-owned vehicle manufacturer. Her mother Amalija came from the village of Raka and worked as a patternmaker at the children’s clothing manufacturer Jutranjka in Sevnica. As a child, Melanija and other children of workers at the factory participated in fashion shows that featured children’s clothing. She has an older sister, Ines, who is an artist and her “longtime confidant”, and an older half-brotherwhom she reportedly has never metfrom her father’s previous relationship.
Knavs grew up in a modest apartment in a housing block in Sevnica, in the Lower Sava Valley. Her father was in the League of Communists of Slovenia, which espoused a policy of state atheism. As was common, however, he had his daughters secretly baptized as Catholic. When the Trumps met Pope Francis at the Vatican in 2017, Melania brought her rosary and asked the Pope to bless it.
When Knavs was a teenager, she moved with her family to a two-story house in Sevnica. As a high-school student, she lived in a high-rise apartment in Ljubljana. Nude photos at the center of questions about Melania Trumps immigration history were first published in early 1997, timing that contradicts previous reports but is consistent with Trumps own timeline of her immigration.
Trump has consistently said she came to the United States in 1996, but in August, the New York Post published nude photos of her that the newspaper reported were taken in New York in 1995 for the January 1996 issue of Max Magazine, a publication that is now defunct.
POLITICO published a report on gaps in Trumps account of her immigration based in part on the Posts timeline. Later, Maxs former editor-in-chief, Marc Dolisi, also told The Washington Post that the photos appeared in the February 1996 issue.
Now, POLITICO has obtained a copy of the magazine issue in question from the French National Library in Paris. The photos were published in the February 1997 issue of Max, #88. Both the New York Post and Dolisi are now acknowledging they were mistaken in dating the publication of the photos a year earlier than they actually appeared.

The bombshell photos show Melania wearing nothing but high heels and pouting for the camera, in a series of images shot from the front, the back and the side.
Melania was super-great and a fantastic personality and she was very kind with me, de Basseville said, adding the former model never once felt uncomfortable posing for the nude pictures.
Melanias sexy photo spread appeared in the January 1996 issue of Max, a French mens magazine that went out of business in 2006.
But Melania seemed very comfortable with the whole thing, and she was very professional.
The two wed in 2005 in a ceremony at in Palm Beach, Florida.

& #151 — To help his future wifes modeling career, Donald Trump allowed Melania to use his private jet for a photo shoot and had no problem with her posing nude, according to the fashion photographer who organized the session.
For that type of shoot, she was perfect, said Antoine Verglas, a renowned French photographer who lives in New York.
The pictures of Melania in various forms of undress were featured in a British GQ cover article in 2000. None of the published photos showed full frontal nudity.

The first lady’s spokesperson Stephanie Grisham said she barely knew Melania, the Daily Mail reports.

This week pictures of the wife of the Republican Presidential candidate in a naked photoshoot with another woman, taken three years before she met the US businessman emerged, but that isn’t her only brush with nude shoots.
The now 48-year-old model posed completely naked again in 2001 for the cover of British GQ magazine when she was then the girlfriend of the billionaire.
Shot on Trump’s customised Boeing 727, the cover features Melania handcuffed to a briefcase while laying naked on a fur blanket, wearing just a diamond encrusted chocker and matching cuffs.
The photo slightly shows her nipple, but as we’ve seen from her previous modelling pictures, this was no problem for the Slovenian born beauty.
The full spread, showing off the wealth of the Donald saw Melania don an array of scantily-clad outfits, as she posed around the luxury private plane.
While the shoot might not have been a problem at the time, as a future First Lady the racy content has been brought back into the spotlight as her husband’s battle for the White House continues.
The New York post recently revealed a naked shoot by photographer Jarl Alé Alexandre de Basseville reportedly taken in 1996 for French publication Maz Magazine.
