As he sits under a shaded canopy, Florida resident Duane Schwingel patiently waits for former President Donald Trump to arrive in Perry, Georgia for yet another Save America Rally.

Its time when the local people get to realize the bigger issues that are out there and why its important that we have a strong leader at the home, said Schwingel.

One rally organizer says the doors will open at 2 p.m. Between 5 and 6 p.m., several speakers including Herschel Walker and Senator Burt Jones will deliver remarks. The Department of Defense is investigating a US Marine who told a Trump rally to be “the guy that pulled the baby over the wall” in Kabul, Task & Purpose reported.

An August 19 video taken during the frenzied US military pullout from Kabul showed a US Marine hoisting a tiny baby girl over a razor-wire fence outside Kabul airport.

At a “Save America” rally in Perry, Georgia, last Saturday, Lance Cpl. Hunter Clark appeared to claim he was that Marine.

“Hey my name’s Lance Corporal Hunter Clark, I’m here from Warner Robins, Georgia. I am the guy that pulled the baby over the wall and it’s definitely probably one of the greatest things I’ve ever done in my entire life,” he said.

“I just want to thank all of the support from all of y’all it really means a lot and I’m glad to be home now today, thank you.”

Watch his appearance here:

While Clark did not say when he helped evacuate a baby, Clark’s command told Task & Purpose that Clark was not the Marine seen in the August 19 video.

Clark is also under investigation as a result of his appearance, Task & Purpose reported.

The Department of Defense did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.

Former President Donald Trump plans to hold a tele-rally for his supporters Monday night, urging them to back Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin in the following days election, Bloomberg reported Friday.

Youngkin, who is attempting to pull off an unlikely victory over Democrat Terry McAuliffe on Nov. 2, has managed to keep the 45th president at arms length during the campaign. It was not immediately clear whether Youngkin would take part in the Trump tele-rally.

Youngkin accepted Trumps endorsement after winning the Republican gubernatorial nomination in May, but has disavowed the former presidents claim that the 2020 presidential election was stolen by the Democrats and emphatically condemned the deadly Jan. 6 riot by Trump supporters at the US Capitol.

With regard to January 6, there is no room for violence in America,Youngkin told Axios in September. None. Absolutely not. And therefore, I think theres just no room for it. We must condemn it every day of the week.

Trump teased the possibility that he would travel to Virginia earlier this week, when he issued a statement telling supporters he would see you soon! On Thursday, Trump attempted to walk back a statement he made earlier this month telling Republicans not to vote in either the 2022 or 2024 federal elections if the result of the 2020 election was not overturned.

Former President Donald Trump will hold his next campaign-style rally in Alabama later this month, his political organization announced Monday.

Trump will travel to Cullman, located about halfway between Birmingham and Huntsville on Interstate 65, to deliver remarks on Aug. 21, according to Save America. The rally will take place on the same day the state Republican Party holds its summer meeting, also in Cullman.

The 45th president won Alabama by more than 25 percentage points in both the 2016 and 2020 elections. However, while Trump traveled to the Yellowhammer State in 2019 to take in the college football showdown between Alabama and LSU, he has not delivered a speech in the state since September of 2017.

On that occasion, Trump visited Huntsville to campaign for then-Sen. Luther Strange in the special election to fill the seat of Jeff Sessions, whom Trump had tapped to be his attorney general. Strange lost a primary runoff to controversial jurist Roy Moore, who was in turn defeated by Democrat Doug Jones amid allegations of sexual misconduct by Moore.

Amid High Security Small Pro

WASHINGTON, Sept 18 – Police and media vastly outnumbered protesters around the U.S. Capitol on Saturday at a sparsely attended rally by supporters of the people who breached the building on Jan. 6, trying to overturn former President Donald Trump’s election defeat.

About 100 to 200 protesters showed up, some carrying the flags of the right-wing group Three Percenters over their shoulders. It was far fewer than the 700 people organizers had expected and the thousands who brought mayhem to the Capitol on Jan. 6.

Hundreds of officers patrolled the Capitol grounds and a black eight-foot-high fence that surrounded the white-domed building for about six months after the attack was reinstalled, reflecting unease about a potential repeat of Jan. 6. One hundred National Guard troops were on standby.

As part of an effort by some of Trump’s far-right supporters to rewrite the history of the deadly mob assault on the Capitol that was captured in graphic video, speaker after speaker insisted that hundreds of rioters arrested for their actions that day were “political prisoners” who committed no violence.

Prosecutors and legal experts say the cases are being handled properly.

“This is about justice and disparate treatment,” said Matt Braynard, a rally organizer and supporter of Trump’s false claims that his defeat was the result of widespread fraud.

“If we don’t honor that we don’t honor America,” said Smith, who was carrying a poster board that said “We Want Trump!”

Ohio Rally Recalls Campaign Events

Trump stepped onto the stage as a loudspeaker blared Lee Greenwoods God Bless the USA a favorite on his playlist during last years campaign for the White House and tossed red Make America Great Again hats into the crowd.

In his 91-minute remarks, Trump lashed out at Democratic foes Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi, ridiculed the “fake news” media and leveled unfounded accusations about his loss to Joe Biden in November’s presidential election. Trump said he was “ashamed” of the U.S. Supreme Court for failing to back his claims of election fraud.

Though he made no announcement about his own plans, Trump hinted he might make another run for the White House in 2024. Claiming that he has already won the presidency twice, he said, “Its possible well have to win it a third time.”

Though Trump lost the presidency to Biden, he carried Ohio by 8 percentage points. Political scientist Justin Buchler said he saw no particular relevance to the fact that Trump chose Ohio historically a swing state in presidential elections as the site of his first rally since leaving the White House.

What was more important, Buchler said, was that he appeared in Lorain County, which he won by 3 percentage points last November and where he was surrounded by people who are loyal to him.

Supporters Of Georgia’s Kemp Counterattack After Trump Rally

Where

ATLANTA Supporters of Republican Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp are fighting back against Donald Trump and their own party leaders, angered by a rally last month in which the former president again attacked the state’s chief executive.

Kemp’s proponents warn that a total embrace of Trump, his false claims about election fraud and his vendetta against the governor for not trying to overturn Trump’s loss in Georgia last year could ruin Republican chances in 2022 in the narrowly divided state.

Right now we are joined at the hip to Donald Trump, who doesnt share the same interests,” said James Hall, a state Republican Party committee member from Savannah. “He wants to torpedo Brian Kemp.

Georgia is one of several states seeing Trump-driven infighting. The former president also continues to roil the partys internal politics in Arizona, where he has targeted Republican Gov. Doug Ducey, and Wyoming, where he is driving an effort to oust Liz Cheney, the states lone U.S. House member. Trump is endorsing primary candidates across the nation, continuing a drive to remake the Republican Party in his image.

The moment that crystalized Kemp supporters’ discontent was when Trump, repeatedly calling Kemp a disaster,” twice suggested he would prefer Democrat Stacey Abrams as Georgias governor. Abrams became a national Democratic superstar even though Kemp edged her out in 2018. Georgia Democrats strongly want her to run again for the governor’s office in 2022.
