When And Where Is Next Trump Rally

Trump To Hold Rally For Oz Ahead Of Pennsylvania Senate Primary

Trump Ramps Up Rally Schedule | 11th Hour

Former President Trump is set to hold a rally for Republican Pennsylvania Senate candidate Mehmet Oz next month.

The rally is set for May 6 in Greensburg, Penn. Trumps group, Save America, made the announcement on Monday.

The announcement comes weeks after Trump endorsed Oz, a retired physician and popular TV personality known as Dr. Oz, over fellow Republican David McCormick, which surprised many political watchers.

The primary, along with the GOP Senate primary in Ohio, stands to be a key test of the former presidents political brand going into the midterms.

Ozs critics have cited the celebrity doctors past stances on issues like ObamaCare and post opposition to overturning Roe v. Wade.

The intra-party contest between Oz and McCormick has turned contentious with attacks being thrown on a number of subjects including Ozs dual citizenship with Turkey and McCormicks business ties with China. Oz has said he will revoke his Turkish citizenship if elected to the Senate.

The two candidates are neck-and-neck in the polls, with a recent The Hill/Emerson College survey showing McCormick leading Oz 18 percent to 17 percent support, respectively.

Oz and McCormick are slated to face off on the debate stage Monday in Harrisburg, Penn. on Nexstar affiliate ABC27 News.

Who Else Has Trump Endorsed In Michigan And Will They Be There

Trump has made a bunch of endorsements this year and last, some of which have been pretty confusing. For instance, he endorsed state Rep. Steve Carra, R-Three Rivers, to run against U.S. Rep. Fred Upton, R-St. Joseph, who voted to impeach Trump for instigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Then, a couple of weeks ago, Trump dis-endorsed Carra and endorsed U.S. Rep. Bill Huizenga, R-Holland Township, in that race. Trump has endorsed about 10 people running for state legislative seats, most if not all of whom have a tie to Maddock and her husband, as well as some other folks running for Congress. That includes businessman John James, who lost two races for U.S. Senate after being endorsed by Trump, who is running in a newly drawn Macomb County district.

Expect most of those locally who have been endorsed by Trump to be in attendance, though it’s only certain that two others are speaking U.S. Rep. Lisa McClain, R-Bruce Township, who represents the area where the rally is being held, and John Gibbs, a former Trump administration official who is running for the Republican nomination against U.S. Rep. Peter Meijer, R-Grand Rapids, who also voted to impeach Trump.

Also by the way: Trump’s endorsements in Michigan from his years as president did not pan out. Of the seven he made, according to the website Ballotpedia, only one McClain’s in 2020 was for a winning candidate.

Imagine If This Was For Trump: Obama Bash For Hundreds Draws Jeers Amid Delta Outbreaks

Trump had better luck with his next Alabama endorsement in 2020, as former Auburn University football coach Tommy Tuberville defeated the out-of-favor Sessions in a primary runoff before unseating Jones.

The former president has also endorsed firebrand Rep. Mo Brooks in next years Senate GOP primary to replace the retiring Richard Shelby.

Trump returned to the rally circuit this summer with events in Ohio and Florida, stoking speculation about a possible run to regain the White House in 2024.

AL.com reported last month that Trump was to hold a July 4 weekend rally at the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile. However, that plan fell through when members of the commission that oversees the park expressed concerns about the legality of hosting an event that could be considered partisan.

Trump eventually went ahead with a July 3 rally in Sarasota, Fla.

How About A Candidate For Governor

As for Michigan’s marquee race this election cycle the race for governor Trump has yet to endorse a candidate for the Republican nomination to take on Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer this fall.

Politically speaking, that makes some sense, given that no front-runner has emerged. But it’s still entirely possible the former president could make a decision sometime, possibly soon. And whatever his delay, it’s not for lack of suitors.

At least seven of the candidates seeking the Republican nomination were expected to attend Saturdays rally. That includes former Detroit Police Chief James Craig, Oakland County businessman Perry Johnson, Norton Shores businesswoman Tudor Dixon, Ottawa County real estate agent Ryan Kelley, Oakland County pastor Ralph Rebandt, Livingston County evangelist Bob Scott, and Grand Rapids businesswoman Donna Brandenburg.

As for the others, Kalamazoo chiropractor Garrett Soldano is on a spring break vacation with his two young sons and is unable to attend, and Michigan State Police Capt. Mike Brown, of Stevensville, cited a prior campaign commitment. Grand Haven financial adviser Michael Markey said he also would be on a previously scheduled family vacation Saturday.

Also, as of Friday, Oakland County businessman and former auto dealer Kevin Rinke said he hadn’t made a decision as to whether to attend, a spokeswoman said.

Expect lots of local coverage of the event itself, including at freep.com. It wasn’t entirely clear who might be covering it live on a night when the Final Four teams will be playing to determine who will be in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship, but here are two good bets: C-SPAN is expected to carry a livestream on its app and its website, c-span.org. There also is an organization calling itself Right Side Broadcasting Network that has been livestreaming Trump events on YouTube and is expected to do so again. Also, the rally is being broadcast on NewsmaxTV.

GREENSBURG, Pa.

Former President Donald Trump is coming to Greensburg next week for a rally at the Westmoreland Fairgrounds.

The “Save America” rally is set to kick off at 8 p.m. May 6. Gates will open at 3 p.m.

Trump will deliver remarks in support of Mehmet Oz “and other endorsed candidates,” according to a statement from the Oz campaign.

The former president recently endorsed Oz in Pennsylvania’s crowded Republican Senate primary, ending months of jockeying for his support.

Oz had been competing for Trump’s endorsement in the May 17 primary against former hedge fund CEO David McCormick, whose wife, Dina Powell, served in Trump’s administration. The two had gone to extensive lengths to win over the former president, who remains deeply popular with the Republican base and has been wooed by candidates in primary races across the country.

In the GOP gubernatorial primary, Bill McSwain, who spent nearly three years as the top federal prosecutor in Philadelphia under Trump, had been seeking Trumps endorsement. McSwain has called the presidential election in Pennsylvania a partisan disgrace as he sought to curry favor with the former president, and often touted his connection to Trump while campaigning for the GOP nod in a crowded primary field.

Trump To Hold April Rally In Michigan

Former President Trump is set to hold a rally in Michigan next month, traveling to a state that is at the center of his unfounded claims of election fraud in the 2020 election.

Trumps leadership PAC announced Friday that hell hold the rally in Washington Township on April 2. Hell give remarks in support of Matthew DePerno and Kristina Karamo, his endorsed candidates for Michigan attorney general and secretary of state, respectively.

Michigan has emerged as a top swing state in recent cycles, handing Trump a narrow victory in 2016 and a loss by about 3 percentage points in 2020.

Trump has repeatedly said that voter fraud robbed him of a victory in the Wolverine State two years ago and has called for further examination into the results despite his loss being confirmed by an audit.

Both DePerno and Karamo are trying to flip offices held by Democrats and have spread conspiracy theories about the 2020 race.

Michigan is hosting a competitive gubernatorial race this year, as well as several other contests down the ballot.

Trump has not yet issued an endorsement in the gubernatorial race but has been a vocal critic of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer , who is running for reelection.

The rally next month will mark the latest in a spree of appearances for Trump, who is set to hold a rally in Georgia next week and recently appeared in South Carolina.

Trumps Upcoming Rally Schedule: What Supporters Can Expect In 2022

Trump, at Iowa rally, slams Democrats:

The U.S. prides itself on being the largest democracy but the Capitol Hill riot that happened on Jan 6, 2021, went down in history as a blot on Americas democracy. Many people want to know what former President Donald Trump, under whose watch protestors stormed into Capitol Hill, has planned in 2022. What’s his upcoming rally schedule?

Trump is still widely popular among his support base. In fact, exceeded that of Biden in 2021. Not many former presidents have that much of a fan following even after leaving the White House.

Is Trump’s Coming To Michigan Controversial

It is. And here’s why: Trump’s endorsement of DePerno and Karamo comes ahead of an April 23 endorsement convention where the state Republican Party delegates will begin formally nominating candidates for down-ballot races, including attorney general and secretary of state. The nominees for other races, like governor or congressional seats, will be selected by the voters themselves during the Aug. 2 primary. And it’s not only Trump who has made endorsements, but also state party co-chair Meshawn Maddock, a staunch Trump supporter who is expected to be at the rally.

Taken together, that has quite a few Republicans either privately or publicly upset. Party leaders and officials typically don’t make endorsements ahead of primaries or the party’s selection, not wanting to make it seem as though they are trying to dictate an outcome. In the case of DePerno and Karamo, some Republicans are making the case that their pro-Trump stances are extreme to a point where more mainstream voters will reject them. That could keep the party from winning in what is otherwise expected to be a favorable year.

Liz Cheney: Trump Using More Extreme Language Than What Caused Jan 6 Attack

Rep. Liz Cheney said on Sunday that former President Trump is using more extreme language than he did prior to the Jan. 6 attack at the Capitol.

Trumps rhetoric about the 2020 presidential election being stolen has been blamed for motivating many of his supporters who attempted to prevent Congress from certifying the results.

At a rally before the insurrection, he told his supporters: We fight like hell. And if you dont fight like hell, youre not going to have a country anymore.

Cheney told CBS News correspondent Robert Costa in an interview on Sunday Morning that the former president was only becoming more inflammatory as the next elections approach.

You know, we are not in a situation where former President Trump has expressed any sense of remorse about what happened, she said.

We are in fact in a situation where he continues to use even more extreme language, frankly, than the language that caused the attack. And so, people must pay attention. People must watch, and they must understand how easily our democratic system can unravel if we dont defend it.

Trump has endorsed hundreds of candidates in the upcoming midterms who reiterated his claims of election fraud, while backing opponents of those lawmakers and state officials who have crossed him over the election.

Cheney also told Costa that she believes the Republican Party nowadays is a cult, with many members aligning themselves with Trumps even when his actions undermined democracy.
