Former President Donald Trump is scheduled to appear at a “Save America” rally Saturday night in Nevada to back his endorsed candidates Adam Laxalt and Joe Lombardo as both Republicans gear up for the midterm elections that are one month away.
The rally is set to take place in Minden, Nevada, at 7 p.m. PDT at Minden-Tahoe Airport. The former president is expected to show his support for Clark County Sheriff Lombardo, the GOP candidate who is running for Nevada governor against incumbent Democratic Governor Steve Sisolak.
Trump’s busy weekend also includes another rally in Mesa, Arizona, on Sunday to show support for the GOP gubernatorial candidate for Arizona, Kari Lake, Senatehopeful Blake Masters, and Republican candidate for secretary of state, Representative Mark Finchem.
The rallies come amid an ongoing investigation by the Department of Justice into Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents which the FBI retrieved from his Mar-a-Lago residence in August. Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in regard to the documents, and said that any classified documents that he took from the White House when he left last year had been declassified.

U.S. Senate candidate Blake Masters continued his aggressive attacks on Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., saying he should have to attend the funerals of overdose victims killed by drugs that entered America from its porous borders.
Masters rattled off a familiar list of complaints about current conditions: There are 300,000 people crossing the nations border each month, violent crime has soared in Phoenix since 2019 and fentanyl continues to kill Americans everywhere.
Mark Kelly has been radio silent about fentanyl for 22 months, Masters said. That ended last week, Masters said, because he had a debate with Masters.
One month before Election Day, he says, Uh oh. I better pretend to start doing something about fentanyl, Masters said, adding that 2,000 Arizonans have died from the drug in the past year.
I think Mark Kelly should have to attend the funerals. Let him look a grieving mother in the eye and he can explain to her why he failed to even lift a finger to secure our border, Masters said.
His words extend attacks on Kelly that shot to prominence last week during the debate between the Senate candidates.
Masters took the stage to Danger Zone, the song made famous in both installments of the movie Top Gun that is about Navy pilots. It would seem a curious choice. Kelly was a Navy fighter pilot before becoming an astronaut, while Masters never served in the military.

Crowd Gathers For Trump’s ‘save America’ Rally At Mohegan Sun Arena
This will be the 26th Trump rally for Anderson, 66 of Tennessee, who like most Trump supporters, believes Trump will run for president in 2024 and he will win in a landslide.
Anderson will be the first of an expected 11,000 people to file into the arena for Saturday’s rally. Trump is expected to take the stage at 7 p.m., along with GOP candidates Dr. Mehmet Oz , Doug Mastriano and Jim Bognet .
Anderson said she arrived in Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday night for one reason and one reason only to support President Trump.
“No doubt in my mind that he will run in 2024,” Anderson said. “He’s proven himself on every policy he’s promised.”
Jared Petry, 21 of Ohio, was second in line and he agrees with Anderson.
“We support Trump because he supports the issues important to us,” Petry said. “The economy, safe borders, Second Amendment, energy independence, sanctity of human life, America first.”
Allison Daly, Philadelphia, Peggy Jungers, Wisconsin, Mellen Botto, Valley Forge and Trisha Paulson, Wisconsin were waiting a little further down the line. They said they consider themselves true patriots and Trump is still their President.
“When Trump wins in 2024, he will change the world,” they said. “Trump stands up for the people.”
On Thursday, Jimmy Harrity, Political Director for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, sent this out ahead of the Trump event:

Donald Trump has called President Joe Biden an “enemy of the state” at his first rally since the FBI searched his Florida resort for sensitive files.
Speaking to thousands of supporters in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, the ex-president accused Mr Biden of weaponising the FBI against him.
Mr Trump branded the search “one of the most shocking abuses of power by any administration in American history”.
He was in the state to promote two Republican candidates.
Dr Mehmet Oz is running for the US Senate, and state Senator Doug Mastriano is in the race to become Pennsylvania’s next governor.
Both spoke only briefly – as always, the rally on Saturday night was really about one person: the headliner.
Mr Trump, 76, spent the first part of his nearly two-hour speech criticising the FBI search early last month.
FBI agents conducting the search found dozens of empty folders marked as classified, and top secret files were recovered from his personal office.
Mr Trump, who is being investigated over his handling of classified records, denies wrongdoing.
The former president also returned to other familiar themes at the Pennsylvania rally: false claims that the 2020 election was stolen from him, attacks on rivals in the Democratic Party, and promises to “save our country”.
Several times, he called for people who deal drugs to receive the death penalty.

What The Polls Show
According to the most recent polls, Dixon continues to trail Whitmer in the upcoming gubernatorial race. Citing a Detroit Free Press poll from September 18, the polling database FiveThirtyEight, gave Whitmer a considerable 16-point lead against her GOP challenger based on 600 respondents. Meanwhile, a more recent poll with 1,075 respondents from a Republican-partisan operation, the Trafalgar Group, still had Whitmer in the lead by 6 points as of Wednesday. The poll has a margin of error of 2.9 percent.

Former President Donald Trump wasted no time on Sunday launching into familiar grievances and a bleak image of America without him in the White House.
Citing the influx of illegal immigrants, soaring prices and arrests of people who oppose abortion, Trump hit President Joe Biden and Democrats generally for a country in turmoil.
These are incredible people. Theyre being treated like terrorists, Trump said, vaguely alluding to those who support him or conservative causes.

Trump put himself and his many controversies as the central evidence of Democrats abusing their power to hurt Republican opponents.
He complained of impeachment over what he again referred to a perfect phone call where he tied approval of military aid to Ukraine to that country declaring an investigation of President Joe Bidens son, Hunter Biden.
He described his conversation with Georgia election officials that is under criminal investigation an absolutely perfect phone call.
Within seconds of taking the stage, Trump had complained about the media, alluded to his baseless claims of a stolen election and hinted that more elections could lie ahead.
We won it big and we won it a second time, Trump said early on.

‘biggest Crowd I’ve Ever Seen’
Trump spoke of the large number of his supporters who gathered in Washington, D.C. on January 6, 2021, after he spent weeks pushing baseless claims that the 2020 election was stolen from him.
“You know the biggest crowd I’ve ever seen?” Trump told supporters at the rally. “January 6th. And you never hear that. They were there largely to protest a corrupt and rigged and stolen election.”
After listening to Trump speak, many Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol in a bid to disrupt Congress‘ certification of Biden’s victory.
Trump was impeached for a historic second time for his role in the incident but was acquitted by the Senate.

Both Parties Eye Pennsylvania
The state is vital to Democrats’ hopes as well. They want to pick up a US Senate seat by propelling Lt Gov John Fetterman to victory.
The governor’s race has taken on extra significance with Mr Mastriano’s landslide win in the Republican primary. He attended the 6 January 2021 attack on the US Congress and played a key role in efforts to overturn the 2020 election results in Pennsylvania.
Should he win the governorship, he would have significant power over the state’s election implementation.
To oppose him, Democrats have put forth the state’s attorney general, Josh Shapiro, and President Biden held several high-profile events in the state in recent days to help whip up the Democratic base.
In fact, he also visited Wilkes-Barre, on 30 August to give a major speech about guns and public safety and two days ago he gave a primetime address in Philadelphia.
He argued that Trump’s ideology – which he called “Maga Republicans” after his predecessor’s famous campaign slogan – threatened American democracy.
“Not every Republican, not even a majority of Republicans, are Maga Republicans,” Mr Biden said.
“But there’s no question the Republican Party today is dominated, driven and intimidated by Donald Trump and the Maga Republicans, and that is a threat to this country.”
On Saturday, Mr Trump called Mr Biden’s address the most “vicious hateful and divisive speech ever delivered by an American president”.

GREENSBURG, Pa. Former President Donald Trump will be in Westmoreland County on Friday night to campaign for Mehmet Oz.
He endorsed the TV celebrity for Senator Pat Toomeys seat. About 20,000 people are expected to attend the rally on Friday.
It is a little less than 24 hours until the gates open for the rally, but people from across the country have made their way to the Westmoreland Fairgrounds to hear the former president. For some, these rallies are a pilgrimage for their political beliefs.
Crews are still setting the scene, as Trump supporters make their way to Mt. Pleasant Township.
Theres so much wrong with whats going on. Hes doing what needs to be done in America, Ralph Pelusi, of Mississippi, said.
Whether from Texas, California, Mississippi or anywhere in between, the following for the 45th president still draws a crowd. Some drove or flew for hours to hear him speak.
Because hes real. Hes so real, Katerina Phang, of California, said.
Rick Frazier, of Ohio, said hes attended more than 50 rallies for Trump. Hes been a follower since early in Trumps presidential run in 2016.
I believed in his America first policies, he said.
Trumps endorsement carries a lot of weight among his supporters. Its been coveted by many Republicans looking to gain a seat in office. Followers are intrigued to see what Trump has to say about Oz during Friday nights rally.

WILMINGTON, N.C. – With less than seven weeks to go before the 2022 mid-term elections, former President Donald Trump came to Wilmington on Friday, rallying support for candidates he has endorsed in North Carolinas biggest political races.
The former president started his address at the Aero Center at Wilmington International Airport by praising Congressman Ted Budd, the republican nominee in the states U.S. Senate race.
Seven weeks from now, the people from North Carolina are going to vote to fire the radical left democrats and are going to send the great Ted Budd to the U.S. Senate, former President Trump said. You are going to elect an incredible slate of true American-first republicans up and down the ballot.
The 45th president often criticized the current administration, while also saying candidates he supports in this years mid-term elections would make a difference in Congress.
Were on a mission to rescue the America we love and restore the republic to greatness, former President Trump said. Were not going to fail.
Supporters had driven in from from Virginia, Georgia, even Texas to hear the former commander-in-chiefs second address in the state this year. He ended the approximately 90 minute speech by coining his familiar message.
We will make America great again!, President Trump said to a standing ovation. Thank you North Carolina!

The former president is currently involved in a legal tussle with federal authorities over a cache of classified documents that the FBI seized last month.
Government authorities say Mr Trump improperly took and stored White House documents, including some marked “top secret” at his Florida home – the Mar-a-Lago resort.

Trumps Campaign Told Fox 35 That A Rally Was Not Happening After A Local Reporter Said It Was
Fox 35 reported from the location where the rally was going to take place and shared that he might be having a virtual rally instead. However, Fox 35 later reported online that the virtual rally is not happening.
The original report is still uploaded on the News Now from Fox channel on YouTube.
We have learned now that the remarks, the event is still on but it will be a virtual rally, the reporter from Fox 35 announced. And the President will make remarks tonight at 7:00, presumably from the White House as he continues to battle COVID-19. So folks are getting those emails to sign up for that virtual event that is still set to take place tonight at 7:00.

However, Fox 35 reported on its website, after the above video was made, that Trump would not be having a virtual rally. The update, posted here around 3:35 p.m. Eastern, reads:

The Trump Campaign has notified FOX 35 News that there will not be a virtual rally. The Sanford rally was canceled after the president and first lady tested positive for the coronavirus.
