Is Trump Going To Get Us Killed

Trumps Foreign Policy Moments

Trump says US needs to get off the sidelines in Ukraines fight for survival

Donald J. Trumps presidency marked a profound departure from U.S. leadership in areas such as trade and diplomacy, as well as an across-the-board toughening of immigration policies.

In his inaugural address, President Donald J. Trump announces an America First approach to foreign policy and trade, which centers on reducing U.S. trade deficits and rebalancing burden sharing within alliances. Trump promises to unite the civilized world against radical Islamic terrorism and emphasizes that it is the right of all nations to put their own interests first.

Trump directs the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative to withdraw the United States from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a twelve-country, Asia-focused trade agreement the United States had championed under the Barack Obama administration.

The president signs an executive order banning nationals of six Muslim-majority countries from traveling to the United States for ninety days. The order, later amended to include an additional two countries, also indefinitely freezes refugee intake from Syria. Days later, a federal judge in Washington State blocks part of the order, beginning a series of judicial challenges. That same week, Trump signs two other executive orders concerning immigration. One directs federal funds to the construction of a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, and the other bars so-called sanctuary cities from receiving federal grants.

Cnn Contributor: Trump ‘is Going To Get Somebody Killed In The Media’

ABC News Politics

CNN contributor Ana Navarro said on ABCs This Week that President Donald Trump is going to get somebody killed in the media following Trumps Sunday morning attack on CNN with a meme video that showed the president punching a stand-in for the network in the face.

Im a CNN commentator. I think that is unacceptable. I think that is the president of the United States taking things way too far. It is an incitement to violence. He is going to get somebody killed in the media. Maybe that will stop him, Navarro said. She later added, The president of the United States is inciting violence against the free press, and America, we cannot stand for it.

Trump spent the better part of his weekend attacking the press with words via his social media account, but upped those strikes with a meme video on Sunday. In the footage, which dates back to Trumps appearance at Wrestlemania 23 in 2007, Trump is shown tackling and punching a man with the CNN logo over his face.

Responding to Trumps tweet on This Week, Navarro said no one at the network is scared of the president.

In response to Trumps tweet, the official CNN public relations account tweeted Sanders words back at the president.

Armed Man Who Attacked Fbi Office Called For Violence After Mar

Shiffers death didnt deter pro-Trump protesters in Arizona from showing up armed with assault-style rifles at the FBI Phoenix field office Saturday. That same day, the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI issued a joint warning that federal law enforcement was facing an unprecedented volume of threats. Who is behind the volatile environment were now living in?

Following the search of his residence, Trump quickly called the investigation a hoax and implied the FBI planted information. Following his lead, Trumps minions in media and in elected office didnt wait for the facts before rushing to rant against a law enforcement action they knew next to nothing about. Tomorrow is war said Steven Crowder, a conservative analyst with almost 2 million Twitter followers. This means war, the Gateway Pundit, a pro-Trump platform, posted online. Joe Kent, a Trump-endorsed candidate for Congress said on Steve Bannons podcast, Were at war. Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., called the search 3rd world country stuff. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis called the warrant a weaponization of federal agencies against the regimes political opponents. And, an unredacted copy of the court-authorized search warrant, which contained the names of two FBI agents, was leading to widespread threats against FBI personnel. Even the federal magistrate who signed the search warrant is being targeted for violence.

Is Trump Trying To Kill Us All

He tries to end health insurance during a pandemic, attacks peaceful protesters, weaponizes racism, and leaves our soldiers to die.

Donald Trump might feel that his best chance for reelection is if he kills us all.

Its not as far-fetched as you might think. He has already taken nine lethal shots at us, and the year is only half over.

Six months ago, our government had the opportunity to confront a budding pandemic. In the weeks that followed, the Trump administration dragged its feet, obfuscated, deflected, and wished away any bad news. Trumps behavior bordered on silly, but dangerously so such as not allowing a cruise ship to dock because it would inflate our numbers.

Instead of keeping the numbers down legitimately by adopting an aggressive stance against the virus, Trump let valuable time go by before the federal government temporarily stepped into action. We were warned at the beginning that if the government didnt move boldly, we would be in trouble. We were also told that if we didnt get it right the first time, and if we opened the economy too soon, wed be forced to close up shop once again, because economies national and local cant function with an overwhelmed health system.

Trumps first infliction: ignoring the virus and then addressing it mildly, which took tens of thousands of lives.

At this point, Trump had tried to kill us twice in the first four months of the year.

Trumps fifth and sixth cruel stabs to our country and his massacre continues.

Promotion Of Conspiracy Theories

Someones Going to Get Killed: Ga. Official Rebukes Trump, GOP Over ...

Before and throughout his presidency, Trump has promoted numerous conspiracy theories, including Obama birtherism, the Clinton Body Count theory, QAnon, the Global warming hoax theory, Trump Tower wiretapping allegations, a John F. Kennedy assassination conspiracy theory involving Rafael Cruz, linking talk show host Joe Scarborough to the death of a staffer, alleged foul-play in the death of Justice Antonin Scalia, alleged Ukrainian interference in U.S. elections, and that Osama bin Laden was alive and Obama and Biden had members of Navy SEAL Team 6 killed. In at least two instances, Trump clarified to press that he also believed the conspiracy theory in question.

During and since the 2020 presidential election, Trump has promoted various conspiracy theories for his defeat including dead people voting, voting machines changing or deleting Trump votes, fraudulent mail-in voting, throwing out Trump votes, and “finding” suitcases full of Biden votes.

Yes, you heard that correctly: over the past four decades. Now Trump was U.S. President for only four years, which is about 146 Scaramuccis, although it may have felt longer. So, you may be wondering whether this story is not just about Trump. But more on that later.

The Commission also catalogued the Trump Administrations many actions that could have affected human health, ranging from a trillion-dollar tax cut for corporations and high-income individuals followed by cuts in food subsidy and health care programs to repealing environmental regulations to actions that left 2.3 million fewer people in the U.S. insured. Heres a graphic from The Lancet that depicts how the percentage of uninsured Americans has changed over the past four decades and before:

The Lancet

Theres that four decades mention again. Could this story possibly be about more than Trump? As they say in cliffhangers and bagpipe playing, stay tuned.

Trump certainly did plenty to affect health during his term in office. For example, his Administration repeatedly subverted and weakened many science and health initiatives, including the federal governments pandemic preparedness capabilities before ding-ding-ding the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic. Oh, and then there was that whole putting kids in cages thing.

Speaking of bleep-hole, the following figure from The Lancet presents some statistics about the bleep-hole situation near the end of the Trump administration:

Control The Message Not The Virus

With the economy in freefall and a mounting death toll, Trump increasingly aimed his vitriol at China. The president backed an unsubstantiated theory suggesting that the virus might have originated in a laboratory in Wuhan, and argued that international health officials had helped China cover up the outbreak in the earliest days of the pandemic. On 29 May, he made good his threats and announced that he was pulling the United States out of the World Health Organization a move that many say weakened the countrys ability to respond to global crises and isolated its science.

For many experts, it was yet another counterproductive political manoeuvre from a president who was more interested in controlling the message than the virus. And in the end, he failed on both counts. Criticism mounted as COVID-19 continued to spread.

The virus doesnt respond to spin, says Tom Frieden, who headed the CDC under Obama. The virus responds to science-driven policies and programmes.

As the pandemic ground forward, the president continued to contradict warnings and advice from government scientists, including guidance for reopening schools. In July, Frieden and three other former CDC directors issued a sharp rebuke in a guest editorial in The Washington Post, citing unprecedented efforts by Trump and his administration to undermine the advice of public-health officials.

Hen Colbert Warns That Trump Will Get Us All Killed

On Monday, North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho issued a dire warning to the United States: Should the US pounce upon the DPRK with military force at last, the DPRK is ready to teach the US a severe lesson with its strategic nuclear force. This came on the heels of the countrys successful long-range missile tests that could theoretically strike the U.S. mainland with a nuclear warhead.

Instead of sending a message of assurance that de-escalated tensions between the two nations, President Donald Trump fired back with an aggressive threat. North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States, Trump said. They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen. All of this macho posturing has put the world on edge, including Late Show host Stephen Colbert, who issued a frightening pronouncement Tuesday night.

I dont want to be alarmist, Colbert said. But were all gonna die.

After removing his tongue from his cheek, Colbert offered a ray of hope for the tense situation. Im not sure whether to believe Trumps nuclear sabre-rattling and neither are you because a poll came out today that found three-quarters of Americans say they cant trust most of what comes out of the White House. Then Colbert took the story on a brilliant twist adding that 38% of Americans still support the White House which means 14% of Americans enjoy being lied to. Then he addressed the 14% saying, Everythings going to be fine.

Trump’s ‘fake News’ Rhetoric Is Going To Get Someone Killed

Gravitas: Iran demands Trump be “prosecuted and killed”

Columnist

Since becoming president of the United States, Donald Trump has sent more than 160 tweets using the phrase fake news. He has specifically attacked CNN on social media more than 35 times, perhaps most notably with a July 2 tweet that labeled the company #FraudNewsCNN and featured a GIF of Trump attacking WWE owner Vince McMahon with a CNN logo superimposed over McMahons face.

Given such hostility, its no surprise that Brandon Griesemer, a 19-year-old from Michigan, made 22 calls to CNNs headquarters in early January, threatening to gun the fucking CNN cast down.

You can imagine the teens confusion when federal authorities arrested him this past week. After all, it was the leader of the free world who declared last February that the fake news is the enemy of the people.

Griesemer, who is white, is also reported to have used multiple racial slurs in the calls to CNN, and to have made similarly harassing calls to a Michigan Islamic center in September.

Meanwhile, during last weekends government showdown, Trump sponsored and endorsed an ad that strongly implied Democrats support of Dreamers and DACA made them complicit in murders committed by undocumented immigrants.

This extreme message is of course little more than a cheap pander to the worst instincts of the Republican base. No Democrat has ever encouraged an undocumented immigrant to commit an act of violence against an American citizen.

You cant have it both ways, Mr. President.

Iran Vows Revenge For Soleimani Killing If Trump Not Put On Trial

DUBAI, Jan 3 – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, speaking on the second anniversary of the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani by the United States, said that former U.S. President Donald Trump must face trial for the killing or Tehran would take revenge.

Iran and groups allied with it in Iraq and other countries have been holding events to honour Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force, the overseas arm of the elite Revolutionary Guards. He was killed in Iraq in a drone strike on Jan. 3, 2020, ordered by then President Trump.

“If Trump and Pompeo are not tried in a fair court for the criminal act of assassinating General Soleimani, Muslims will take our martyr’s revenge,” Raisi said in a speech on Monday.

“The aggressor, murderer and main culprit – the then president of the United States – must be tried and judged under the law of retribution, and God’s ruling must be carried out against him,” Raisi added.

Under Iran’s Islamic laws, a convicted murderer can be executed unless the family of the victim agree to take “blood money” through a reconciliation.

Iranian judicial officials have communicated with authorities in nine countries after identifying 127 suspects in the case, including 74 U.S. nationals, Prosecutor-General Mohammad Jafar Montazeri told state television.

“The criminal former president is at the top of the list,” he said.

Trumps Allies Apparently Unbothered About Possibility Of Getting Someone Killed

On Wednesday morning, less than 48 hours after we learned that the FBI had executed a search warrant at Donald Trumps for-profit resort/private home, Mar-a-Lago, Fox News reported that FBI agents, as well as U.S. attorney general Merrick Garland and FBI director Chris Wray, are experiencing an uptick in death threats in the wake of the raid at former president Trumps residence at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, according to sources speaking with Fox News. Obviously, these threats are an extremely disturbing development. But are they at all surprising? In fact, not in the slightest, given the lengths Trumps alliesincluding, naturally, Fox News itselfhave gone to convince the ex-presidents supporters that the government is not only out to get him but them.

As my colleague Eric Lutznotes, it hasnt just been Fox News thats worked overtime to fan the flames, and by fan the flames we mean pour out the gasoline and light the match, but much of the Republican Party, including House minority leader Kevin McCarthy, Senator Rick Scott, and Representative Majorie Taylor Greene. On Tuesday and Wednesday, apparently having received their from the president, more than one of Trumps allies baselessly claimed the FBI might have framed him.

A New Stage In The Trans

But many were not sure. Mr. Trump issued bellicose threats to destroy Iran if it retaliated, including cultural treasures in violation of international law, touching off international outrage and forcing his own defense secretary to publicly disavow the threat, saying it would be a war crime.

Mr. Trump was largely alone on the world stage. No major European power, not even Britain, voiced support for the drone strike, even as leaders agreed that General Suleimani had blood on his hands. As Le Monde, the French newspaper, put it, the rift signaled a new stage in the trans-Atlantic divorce over the Middle East.

Mr. Trumps withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear accord with Iran has been a major point of contention. European leaders deeply resented the unilateral pullout, seeing that as a grave error that started a cycle of sanctions and recriminations that led to the seven-day showdown and now the restart of the Iranian nuclear program.

When Mr. Pompeo phoned his European counterparts after the strike, they expressed concern. In a 15-minute call, Foreign Minister Heiko Maas of Germany said the killing had not made it any easier to stabilize the region. Mr. Pompeo responded that the situation was now more stable.

The French and Japanese both offered to serve as mediators, but that only annoyed Mr. Trump, who dislikes middlemen. So the Europeans focused on keeping Tehran from overreacting.
