When Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner relocated from New York to Washington, D.C., in 2016, the duo perhaps assumed that their next move would be a much quicker onethe less than two miles between their Kalorama mansion and the White House, which they believed theyd inhabit when Ivanka became the first woman president. Yes, as Michael Wolff reported in Fire and Fury, the couple, had made an earnest deal between themselves that if sometime in the future the opportunity arose, the two wouldnt fight over who was going to be POTUSnot because neither of them were remotely qualified but because they believed the choice was obvious. Shed be the one to run for president, Wolff wrote. The first woman president, Ivanka entertained, would not be Hillary Clinton it would be Ivanka Trump.
And thats where theyve been for the last year, only, they havent been living on the island they dropped tens of millions of dollars on, where 79% of residents voted for Donald Trump, because their spread is still under construction. Instead, theyve been staying in the town of Surfside, which went for Joe Biden in 2020. And the locals arent thrilled!
Per the Washingtonian:
A few months later, the same woman apparently encountered the TrumpKushner clan on the beach, where she observed what she apparently deemed subpar parenting:
They Were Banned From Gossip Girl
Ivanka and Jared made a cameo on Gossip Girl way back in 2010, but they wont be showing up on its Gen-Z reboot. Definitely not! Definitely not, Joshua Safran, who executive-produced both iterations of the series, told the Daily Beast when asked if they would be welcome back, noting that times have changed and an appearance by the couple wouldnt make sense nowadays. Perhaps the the Real Housewives of Miami reboot will take pity on them.
Jared And Ivanka Chose Not To Return To New York
At one time, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump were the darlings of the New York City social scene . And Ivanka, who had her own line of clothing, was a fashion scene darling.
Both realized that things were going to have to change after Donald Trump’s one term in the White House that resulted in two impeachments and a violent insurrection in his name.
Even before the Trump presidency officially came to an end, New Yorkers who knew the pair were open about the fact that they weren’t sure they’d be welcome there anymore.
“Sometimes I think about what I would say to Ivanka if I ran into her now, and I think I would ask her if she is ashamed,” Dirk Wittenborn, who produced the documentary “Born Rich,” which featured Ivanka, told The New York Times. “All of this is going to be a real litmus test for New York. When do we say, enough is enough? You are not welcome.”

Trump Campaign Advisor: Giuliani Was ‘definitely Intoxicated’ On Election Night
It’s unclear when exactly the Trump-Kushner interaction took place. The clip was played after top Trump advisers said an apparently “inebriated” Giuliani had urged Trump to declare victory on election night, which the advisers argued against. Trump took Giuliani’s advice and delivered remarks from the White House, saying, Frankly, we did win this election.
During Monday’s hearing, the second of at least six planned for this month, the committee showed video of Ivanka Trump testifying that she did not believe that her father was in a position to declare victory on Election Day. She said at the White House on election night and moved between the residence and a nearby room where some family members were.
Asked if she weighed in on the debate on whether her father should assert victory, Ivanka Trump said, “I dont know that I had a firm view as to what he should say, in that circumstance. The results were still being counted. It was becoming clear that the race would not be called on election night.”
In a clip that the panel played at its first hearing on Thursday, the first daughter who was also a White House adviser said her opinion was swayed weeks later when then-Attorney General William Barr said there was no evidence of any fraud that would have impacted the outcome of the 2020 election.
“It affected my perspective. I respect Attorney General Barr, so I accepted what he was saying,” Ivanka Trump said.
A Look Inside Ivanka Trump And Jared Kushner’s Quiet New Life
For four years, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner made national news on a regular basis as senior White House advisers to Ivanka’s father, former President Donald Trump.
Although neither one of them had any experience in government, Trump put his son-in-law in charge of various tasks that would have very real global consequences, including securing peace in the Middle East and controlling the coronavirus pandemic, according to NBC, two things he did not manage to do.
While Ivanka’s tasks were much vaguer, the House of Representatives Select Committee on January 6 has invited her for an interview, as they learned she was close enough to her father the day of the Capitol riot to ask him to call off his supporters.
Ivanka has also been subpoenaed by New York Attorney General Letitia James to testify as she leads a civil investigation into Trump business practices.
However, aside from legal issues with both the state and federal governments, Jared and Ivanka have attempted to live relatively quiet lives away from the public eye since Trump left office on Jan. 20, 2021.

Report: Jared Kushner Ivanka Trump To Play Starring Role In January 6 Hearings
On Thursday night, just over 17 months after Donald Trumpsicced a violent mob on the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election, the January 6 committee will hold a prime-time hearingthe first of severalto reveal the findings of its yearlong investigation into the events before, during, and after the attack. As Axios reported on Monday, the panel has hired veteran news producer James Goldston in the hopes of making Thursdays proceedings must-see TV, and the Nightline alum plans to not only provide fresh material for skeptical journalists to chew over but to draw the eyeballs of Americans who haven’t followed the ins and outs of the Capitol riot probe. One way the committee is apparently hoping to get viewers to tune in? By casting Princess Purses and the Boy Prince of New Jersey, AKA Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, in starring roles.
Then again, theyre Trumps, by blood and marriage, so one can never actually rely on them to do the right thing. But according to a person familiar with the panels thinking, that doesnt really matter. Everybody will pay attention when Jared and Ivanka talk on video. It doesnt matter how damning the presentations are, a person familiar with the matter told the Post.

Foreign Policy And Political Commentary
In March 2021 he claimed that we are witnessing the last vestiges of the Arab-Israeli conflict, and praised the foreign policy of the Joe Biden administration in its handling of China and Iran, in an op-ed published by the WSJ, that generated some responsa from the political class.
He wrote “This negotiation is high-stakes and, thanks to his policies, , America holds a strong hand. Iran is feigning strength, but its economic situation is dire and it has no ability to sustain conflict or survive indefinitely under current sanctions… America should be patient and insist that any deal include real nuclear inspections and an end to Iran’s funding of foreign militias.”
The Biden administration, however, has one asset that the Trump administration never hada relationship with Iran. While many were troubled by the Biden teams opening offer to work with Europe and rejoin the Iran deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, I saw it as a smart diplomatic move, Kushner wrote. The Biden administration called Irans bluff. It revealed to the Europeans that the JCPOA is dead and only a new framework can bring stability for the future. When Iran asked for a reward merely for initiating negotiations, President Biden did the right thing and refused.
He also appeared in the 2022 documentary Unprecedented.

Ivanka Trump And Jared Kushner Support Each Other
Trump and Kushner are quite busy between raising their family and working as advisors to her dad, President Donald Trump, but building an empire is never easy. While some couples might struggle under the pressure, Trump and Kushner seem to be thriving.
Trump told Vogue that living close to work helps ensure that she has enough time to spend with her kids and her husband. “For me, being so close to work is everything. I get here in three minutes and give a bath, read to them, and put them to bed, and then I go out almost every night right afterward with Jared,” she said.
Life is hectic, but Trump and Kushner make it work and are always able to rely on each other. “I would say she is definitely the CEO of our household, whereas I’m more on the board of directors,” said Kushner. “We both pick up slack for each other where it’s needed, but she doesn’t want to outsource mothering, so she’s very involved.”
Jared Founded A Peace Institute
During the Trump administration, Kushner explained that he was the best guy to sort out this whole Israel-Palestine business because hed read 25 books on the conflict. The Abraham Accords, which normalized diplomatic relations between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain, was one of the Trump administrations signature foreign-policy achievements the former president even ahead of the signing ceremony that now, theres going to be peace in the Middle East.

WASHINGTON They were stripped of their White House backdrop, their power and their masks.
In brief video clips, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump appeared in the first of a half-dozen public hearings held by the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.
First up was Ms. Trump. Speaking in a soft voice and seemingly aware that the video might be made public someday, she said she believed the words of the former attorney general, William P. Barr, who on Dec. 1, 2020, said that there was no widespread fraud impacting the election that had taken place three weeks earlier.
It affected my perspective, Ms. Trump said quietly, peering into a camera for a recorded interview that did not take place in person. I respect Attorney General Barr. So I accepted what he said was saying.
That was despite what her father, President Donald J. Trump, was claiming, and despite the fact that, according to several White House aides working alongside her, she did little to try to temper his false claims that he had won the 2020 election. She continued to travel with him as he vented his claims in public.
