Lawrence: Donald Trump Has Confessed

Former President Donald Trump will return to Arizona for an Oct. 9 rally in Mesa to support his endorsed Arizona candidates ahead of the Nov. 8 election.

Trump is expected to speak in support of his endorsed candidates including Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, Republican nominee for U.S. Senate Blake Masters and the entire Arizona Trump Ticket.

Trump last visited Arizona in July before the primary and held a rally at a Prescott Valley arena to boost his favored candidates, including Lake and Masters.

The event will be held at Legacy Sports Park in Mesa.

Parking lots, vendors and registration will open at 7 a.m. and doors open at 11 a.m. Remarks will start around 1 p.m. and Trump is scheduled to speak at 4 p.m.

The rally comes as early voting kicks off in Arizona. Counties begin mailing ballots to voters on Oct. 12, the first day of early voting. Arizonans have until Oct. 11 to register to vote in this election and voters can request a ballot by mail until Oct. 29.

Trump Announces First Post

According to the Save America PAC, the July 3 rally is not meant to boost any particular candidate, but show President Trumps further support of the MAGA agenda and accomplishments of his administration.

Trump revealed last month that he also plans to hold rallies in Georgia and North Carolina as he weighs whether to seek the White House again in 2024. The Republican won all four of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Ohio in 2016 and held all but Georgia in 2020.

The former president previously spoke at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference in February and addressed the North Carolina Republican Partys convention earlier this month.

Donald Trump: What We Learned From His Rally In Pennsylvania

Donald Trump has called President Joe Biden an enemy of the state at his first rally since the FBI searched his Florida resort for sensitive files.

Speaking to thousands of supporters in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, the ex-president accused Mr Biden of weaponising the FBI against him.

Mr Trump branded the search one of the most shocking abuses of power by any administration in American history.

He was in the state to promote two Republican candidates.

Dr Mehmet Oz is running for the US Senate, and state Senator Doug Mastriano is in the race to become Pennsylvanias next governor.

Both spoke only briefly as always, the rally on Saturday night was really about one person: the headliner.

Mr Trump, 76, spent the first part of his nearly two-hour speech criticising the FBI search early last month.

FBI agents conducting the search found dozens of empty folders marked as classified, and top secret files were recovered from his personal office.

Mr Trump, who is being investigated over his handling of classified records, denies wrongdoing.

The former president also returned to other familiar themes at the Pennsylvania rally: false claims that the 2020 election was stolen from him, attacks on rivals in the Democratic Party, and promises to save our country.

Several times, he called for people who deal drugs to receive the death penalty.

Here are four key things you need to know about Donald Trumps rally.

‘What Kind Of Snowflake Is Donald Trump?’: Raskin Calls Out Trump To Answer Subpoena

President Donald Trump spoke at a rally near the White House on Jan. 6 before a mob of his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol to try to stop Congress from certifying President-elect Joe Bidens victory. Trump was impeached Wednesday by the U.S. House on a single charge of incitement of insurrection.

Heres a transcript of Trumps Jan. 6 speech:

Well, thank you very much. This is incredible.

Media will not show the magnitude of this crowd. Even I, when I turned on today, I looked, and I saw thousands of people here. But you dont see hundreds of thousands of people behind you because they dont want to show that.

We have hundreds of thousands of people here and I just want them to be recognized by the fake news media. Turn your cameras please and show whats really happening out here because these people are not going to take it any longer. Theyre not going to take it any longer. Go ahead. Turn your cameras, please. Would you show? They came from all over the world, actually, but they came from all over our country.

I just really want to see what they do. I just want to see how they covered. Ive never seen anything like it. But it would be really great if we could be covered fairly by the media. The media is the biggest problem we have as far as Im concerned, single biggest problem. The fake news and the Big tech.

We will not let them silence your voices. Were not going to let it happen, Im not going to let it happen.

Thank you.

This will be the 26th Trump rally for Anderson, 66 of Tennessee, who like most Trump supporters, believes Trump will run for president in 2024 and he will win in a landslide.

Anderson will be the first of an expected 11,000 people to file into the arena for Saturdays rally. Trump is expected to take the stage at 7 p.m., along with GOP candidates Dr. Mehmet Oz , Doug Mastriano and Jim Bognet .

Anderson said she arrived in Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday night for one reason and one reason only to support President Trump.

No doubt in my mind that he will run in 2024, Anderson said. Hes proven himself on every policy hes promised.

Jared Petry, 21 of Ohio, was second in line and he agrees with Anderson.

We support Trump because he supports the issues important to us, Petry said. The economy, safe borders, Second Amendment, energy independence, sanctity of human life, America first.

Allison Daly, Philadelphia, Peggy Jungers, Wisconsin, Mellen Botto, Valley Forge and Trisha Paulson, Wisconsin were waiting a little further down the line. They said they consider themselves true patriots and Trump is still their President.

When Trump wins in 2024, he will change the world, they said. Trump stands up for the people.

On Thursday, Jimmy Harrity, Political Director for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, sent this out ahead of the Trump event:

Pm: Trump Claims Predecessors Took Classified Records

Former President Donald Trump unloaded on the FBI and accused his presidential predecessors over the criminal investigation of the documents seized from his residence at Mar-a-Lago.

He alluded to a third presidential run that wont get derailed by what he views as politically motivated attacks on him.

What theyre trying to do is take us out so we cant represent you if we decide to do that, but well be making a decision very soon, he said to rising cheers.

Trump claimed that former President Bill Clinton took millions of classified records with him when he left office, and presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama also improperly took records as well.

Clinton lost the nuclear codes and former President Jimmy Carter sent the nuclear codes to a dry cleaner, Trump said, adding that nothing happened in those matters.

Lock her up! Lock her up! the crowd chanted after Trump mentioned former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton kept private from officials government emails.

They should give me back everything that was taken, Trump said of the records taken by the FBI.

They plant documents, he said of the FBI. Trump wondered aloud when the Clintons would face investigation and prosecution.

I dont think they will do it, and I dont think they should do it, Trump said.

Despite his complaints, Trump said the actions against him drove his poll numbers higher.

Former President Donald Trump is hosting another Saturday night special.

Trumps Save America PAC announced Wednesday that the 45th president would hold the second of four planned campaign-style rallies July 3 in Sarasota, Fla., followed by a fireworks show to mark the Independence Day holiday.

The announcement noted that the rally would be co-sponsored by the Republican Party of Florida, Trumps home state.

Trump is scheduled to hold his first post-White House rally this coming Saturday in Wellington, Ohio. It will be the first time he addresses supporters in such a setting since the Jan. 6 Stop the Steal rally which precipitated the deadly riot at the US Capitol.

The Ohio rally is meant to boost the House campaign of former Trump adviser Max Miller, who is challenging GOP Rep. Anthony Gonzalez. Gonzalez was one of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump on a single count of incitement of insurrection over the Capitol riot. In a February statement endorsing Miller, Trump said Gonzalez should not be representing the people of the 16th district because he does not represent their interest or their heart.

Where Else Has Trump Campaigned

On June 18, 2022, Trump held his American Freedom Tour event in Memphis, Tennessee.

He was joined on stage by former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Dinesh D’Souza, Mark Burns, Sheriff Mark Lamb, and a number of other conservative speakers at Landers Center.

On Saturday, May 28, he made his first-ever appearance at a rally in Casper, Wyoming, where he endorsed GOP congressional candidate Harriet Hageman, who will be challenging Representative Liz Cheney of Wyoming.

Previously, former President Donald Trump headlined the National Rifle Association’s annual meeting in Texas on Friday, May 27.

In a post via Truth Social, Trump said he would be keeping his “longtime commitment” to speak at the event in Houston because the country needs “real solutions and real leadership at this moment.”

The news comes after a mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas left at least 19 students and two teachers dead.

According to NPR, attendees were not able to carry guns during his address and were searched with magnetometers before entry by Secret Service.

He showed his support for Republican candidate Harriet Hageman, who is campaigning against Liz Cheney.

Over the years, Trump and Cheney have not seen eye-to-eye and have called each other out on several occasions.

In October 2021, Trump went as far as calling her a “smug fool” after she backed a criminal contempt vote against former White House aide Stephen Bannon, The Hill reports.

Arizona GOP candidates endorsed by Trump face tough races, according to a recent Arizona Republic and azcentral.com/Suffolk University statewide poll.

Katie Hobbs, the Democratic nominee for governor, took a single percentage point lead over Lake, 46% to 45%, meaning the race is a toss-up. Both candidates are aiming to win over the one in five independent voters who remain undecided in the race.

Masters, the Republican Senate nominee, isn’t faring as well. He trailed Democratic incumbent Sen. Mark Kelly by 7 percentage points in the poll.

Trump-backed candidates in Arizona largely dominated their GOP primaries, showing the former presidents continued sway over Republicans in the state.

Trump also endorsed Abe Hamadeh for attorney general and Mark Finchem for secretary of state, among others.

Trump and his circle are facing ongoing and mounting legal woes on multiple fronts related to the Mar-a-Lago search, the aftermath of the 2020 election, his businesses and the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

And the Washington Post reported this week that American Freedom Tour, a company that organized paid speeches for Trump after he left office, is struggling financially, including with paying employees, vendors and investors, and has had to cancel events.

The Mesa rally will be held by Trumps political organization Save America.
