When Will Trump Speak Again

How Big A Crowd Is Expected

President Trump speaks at Make America Great Again rally in Tampa, Florida 10/29/2020

This is an often tricky issue with Trump, who has a habit of inflating his crowd sizes. In this case, township officials say they expect somewhere between 8,000 and 10,000 people.

It’s anyone’s guess if that number will be low or high. But it does have some fire officials in Washington Township concerned. For one thing, they say the rally is outside the approved use of the Michigan Stars Sports Center space, and it’s possible the number of attendees could be well above the site’s safe occupancy limit. There also are questions about whether there is enough parking and what the effect of traffic will be on local roads.

Trumpworld Is Already Weighing Veeps For 2024 Hint: It Aint Pence

Donald Trump and his advisers are convinced that if he runs again for president in 2024, the Republican nomination will be his. Their confidence is so supreme that they view almost all of the emerging field not as competition but as possible vice presidential picks.

No formal vetting process is in place, and there is no expectation that Trump, should he run, will do so unopposed in a Republican primary. But allies of the former president are already keeping tabs on how GOP officials with presidential ambitions are addressing Trump himself and the legitimacy of Joe Bidens election.

You cant wait to run for president, said one Trump adviser. But those doing it now look like theyre dancing on the grave and the political bodys still warm.

As things stand now, Trump is extremely unlikely to run again with former Vice President Mike Pence as his number two, advisers say. Some Trump aides have also written off Pences political future, at least at the presidential level, privately arguing that he has failed to capture anything close to the same kind of enthusiasm as Trump. They point to anger among the most diehard Trump supporters over Pences decision to carry out his Constitutional duty in certifying Bidens election win.

More: Jan 6 Hearing Told Trump Knew Plan To Pressure Pence Was Illegal Went Ahead Anyway

When Pence refused to follow Trump’s plan, a “heated” phone call ensued the morning of Jan. 6, Ivanka Trump and other witnesses told the committee. One Trump aide in the Oval Office at the time recalled Trump mockingly referring to Pence as a “wimp.”

Trump said Friday he never called Pence a “wimp” but continued to badger his vice president for not sending election results back to state legislatures, something both Trump and Pence were advised repeatedly was illegal, according to testimony given at the Jan. 6 committee hearings.

“Mike did not have the courage to act,” Trump said, likening him to a “robot” and “human conveyor belt” for following the advice of those who said he didn’t have the authority to reject state electors.

Former Pence attorney Greg Jacob and former federal judge Michael Luttig explained to the committee for hours Thursday their assessments that the vice president did not have the authority to do what Trump was asking. Luttig warned that if Pence had followed through with it, it would’ve plunged the nation into a constitutional crisis.

Trump on Friday continued to air false, baseless claims about the 2020 election, telling the crowd he didn’t believe he lost despite being defeated in both the Electoral College and the popular vote, as well as losing scores of lawsuits challenging election results.

Perched on a cream-colored armchair,Johnny Enlow, a 61-year-old, California-based Pentecostal pastor with short-cropped gray hair, a trim beard and Tom Selleck-style mustache, looked into the camera and prophesied that Donald Trump would become president again.

Not in 2024. In 2021.

The January 20 inauguration date doesnt really mean anything, Enlow said in the January 29 video, which has gotten north of 100,000 views on YouTube. According to Enlow, more than 100 other credible Christian prophets around the world had likewise declared that Trump, somehow, would be restored to power soon.

Enlow, Locke and Kerr are among dozens of Christian prophets in Americareligious leaders with followings among Pentecostal and charismatic Christians who claimthe ability to predict the future based on dreams, visions and other supernatural phenomena. Some prophets are church leaders, while others operate independently. There are no official requirements for prophet status, though followers generally expect prophets toget at least a few prophecies right.

But, lately, that standard has come under duressparticularly when it comes to Donald Trump.

Emboldened ‘unchanged’ Trump Looks To Re

The set of advisers around Trump now is a familiar mix of his top 2020 campaign aides and others who have moved in and out of his orbit over time. They include Miller, Susie Wiles, Bill Stepien, Justin Clark, Corey Lewandowski and Brad Parscale.

While his schedule isn’t set yet, according to Trump’s camp, his coming stops are likely to include efforts to help Ohio congressional candidate Max Miller, a former White House aide looking to win a primary against Rep. Anthony Gonzales, who voted to impeach Trump this year Jody Hice, who is trying to unseat fellow Republican Brad Raffensperger as Georgia secretary of state after Raffensperger defied Trump and validated the state’s electoral votes and Alabama Senate candidate Mo Brooks, according to Trump’s camp.

Trump’s ongoing influence with Republican voters helps explain why most GOP officeholders stick so closely to him. Republicans spared him a conviction in the Senate after the House impeached him for stoking the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, House GOP leaders have made it clear that they view his engagement as essential to their hopes of retaking the chamber, and Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., was deposed as Republican Conference Chair this year over her repeated rebukes of Trump.

Those numbers suggest that Trump could be in a strong position to win a Republican primary but lose the general election in 3½ years. A former Trump campaign operative made that case while discussing Trump’s ambitions.

Cpac 2022 Speakers Schedule As Donald Trump Headlines Florida Event

The full agenda and line-up of speakers for this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference has been confirmed.

The annual conservative gathering is being held at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida and runs from this Thursday, February 24, through to Sunday, February 27.

Former President Donald Trump is this year’s main attraction, headlining the bill and delivering a prime-time speech on Saturday evening.

The event has been touted as a platform for possible 2024 Republican presidential candidates to present their initial cases, as well as being a rallying call for the GOP ahead of this year’s midterm elections in November.

A number of other prominent Republican figures are scheduled to speak at CPAC, among them are Senators Ted Cruz and , Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, Donald Trump Jr., former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.

John Schnatter, former CEO of the pizza chain Papa John’s is also scheduled to speak. Schnatter resigned from his post in 2018 after saying a racial slur in a conference call.

Controversial former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens also features on the line-up. Greitens stepped down from his role in 2018 amid allegations of sexual and physical assault on his hairdresser and has since announced a run for Senate.

Watch again: Trump and Cruz speak at NRA convention days after school shooting

The 2024 election is still 1,155 days away — I counted — but, according to one senior aide to Donald Trump, the former president is all-but-certain to run again.

“Trump is confiding in allies that he intends to run again in 2024 with one contingency: that he still has a good bill of health, according to two sources close to the former president. That means Trump is going to hang over the Republican Party despite its attempts to rebrand during his exile and its blockade of a Trump-centric investigation into January’s insurrection.”

Paycheck Protection Program Launched With $349b Runs Out Of Money

A stimulus program set up to prevent small businesses from shuttering and their employees from going on unemployment officially ran dry Thursday in less than two weeks. The fate of the Paycheck Protection Program, launched with $349 billion for loans to small businesses, remains unclear as congressional leaders and the Trump administration remain at an impasse on a deal to inject billions more into the program.

The Treasury Department says, by law, it will not be able to issue new loan approvals for small businesses because of the lapse, putting a pause on the program that has already approved more than 1.6 million applications for employers.

Trump Fires Back At Jan 6 Committee Calls Hearings ‘disgraceful Performance’

Trump is a central figure in the House panel’s probe of the Capitol attack.

Former President Donald Trump on Friday fired back at the House select committee investigating the events of Jan. 6, 2021.

“There’s no clearer example of the menacing spirit that has devoured the American left than the disgraceful performance being staged by the unselect committee,” Trump said at a conference hosted by the Faith and Freedom Coalition in Nashville, Tennessee.

“They’re con people,” Trump continued. “They’re con artists.”

The committee has held three of the seven public hearings scheduled for this month, laying out what it says was a “sophisticated, seven-part plan” by Trump and his supporters to overturn his 2020 election loss to Joe Biden.

Trump was well aware of the fact that he lost, the committee argued, using testimony from members of his inner circle. But he moved ahead anyway with an illegal plot to remain in power and raised millions of dollars in the process of pushing the “big lie” that he was the real winner.

Former Attorney General Bill Barr told the committee in a taped deposition that Trump’s claims of election fraud were “bull—-.” Ivanka Trump, also previously deposed by the panel, said she agreed with Barr’s conclusion that the election was not stolen.

Trump — who already dismissed his daughter’s testimony — on Friday accused the committee of taking the taped depositions out of context.

Encouraging News Out Of New York But Lockdown Extended

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, after noting a marked drop in COVID-19 deaths overnight, extended the state’s stayathome policy until next month and expanded the new order on wearing masks to include subways, buses, trains and taxis.

Cuomo said 606 people had died overnight, compared to the previous two days, which registered 778 and 752 deaths. He credited the state’s “N.Y. Pause” policy of closing businesses and stay-at-home orders and said those measures will be extended until at least May 15.

Cuomo said he had gotten a lot of “not happy phone calls” about the mandated use of face masks starting this week.

Grand Jury Convened In Criminal Investigation Of Trump

Trump Lies About 9/11 Again

Only one president, Grover Cleveland, has ever lost a re-election bid and come back to reclaim the White House. In modern times, one-term presidents have worried more about rehabilitating their legacies by taking on nonpartisan causes Democrat Jimmy Carter by building housing for the poor and George H.W. Bush by raising money for disaster aid, for example than about trying to shape national elections. But Trump retains a hold on the Republican electorate that is hard to overstate, and he has no intention of relinquishing it.

“There’s a reason why they’re called ‘Trump voters,'” Miller said. “They either don’t normally vote or don’t normally vote for Republicans.”

Trump lost the popular vote by more than 7 million last year and the Electoral College by the same 306-232 result by which he had won four years earlier but he got more votes than any other Republican nominee in history. And it would have taken fewer than 44,000 votes, spread across swing states Georgia, Arizona and Wisconsin, to reverse the outcome.

Republicans, including Trump allies, say it’s too early to know what he will do, or what the political landscape will look like, in four years. A busload of Republican hopefuls are taking similar strides to position themselves. They include former Vice President Mike Pence, who is speaking to New Hampshire Republicans on Thursday, an event that the Concord Monitor called the kickoff of the 2024 race.

That’s basically what Trump is doing.

Desantis Trump Neck And Neck In Potential 2024 Michigan Primary: Poll

Former President Donald Trump will headline the annual Conservative Political Action Conference due to take place in Orlando later this month.

The 45th president made the announcement in a video posted by Matt Schlapp, the head of the American Conservative Union, on his Twitter account.

Ill be attending CPAC again this year in Orlando, Florida, Trump said. I will see you soon. Going to be a fantastic crowd lets have fun.

Trump, who has been a regularat CPAC since his first appearance in 2011, said he urged Schlapp and the organizers to get a bigger ballroom this year.

Last year it was packed and there were thousands of people outside, and they said were going to get a real big one,’ he said.

Other scheduled speakers at CPAC include Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Sen. Marco Rubio former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Rep. Jim Jordan .

The annual gathering could function as an early preview of a potential 2024 Republican presidential primary between DeSantis and Trump.

Neither has announced a formal intention to run, but DeSantis is widely expected to throw his hat in the ring and Trump has teased a political comeback as he holds campaign-style rallies around the country.

The two Florida Republicans have also been indirectly critical of each other in public.

DeSantis became a GOP star during the COVID-19 pandemic by playing up his opposition to lockdowns as well as mask and vaccine mandates, selling the Sunshine State asfreedoms vanguard.
