When Does Trump Speak Again

Iowa National Democrats Criticize State Republicans For Supporting Trump After Jan 6 Riot

Donald Trump has real chance to speak to Americans again

Iowa Democratic Party Chair Ross Wilburn criticized Iowa Republicans for supporting Trump after his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol in January.

“Iowa Republicans have tied themselves to a man who attacked the foundations of our democracy throughout his time in office,” Wilburn said in a statement. “Just nine months ago, he incited a violent mob to attack his own Vice President and threaten the lives of lawmakers who were simply fulfilling their constitutional duty to certify our election.”

A slew of Iowa’s top Republican leaders warmed up the crowd ahead of Trump, including Reynolds, Grassley and U.S. Reps. Ashley Hinson and Mariannette Miller-Meeks.

Reynolds led the crowd in a chant of “U.S.A.” and criticized Biden on his immigration policies, mentioning that she visited the U.S.-Mexico border this week.

“I was just there this week,” she said. “You know whos never been there? Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. They dont care. They dont care whats happening at the border.”

Vice President Kamala Harris visited the U.S.-Mexico border in June.

Reynolds also mentioned Biden’s COVID-19 response, eliciting boos from the crowd.

“They dont respect you,” she said of Democrats. “They dont respect your faith, your values. They dont think youre capable of making your own decisions and they dont think you should. And this is what America looks like under democratic leadership but Im here to tell you were fighting back.”

Trump Calls Mitch Mcconnell A ‘knucklehead’ With ‘no Personality’

Former President Trump dismissed his Vice President Mike Pence for lacking ‘courage’ and called Mitch McConnell, Republican leader in the Senate, a ‘knucklehead’ as he picked over the last days of his presidency in an interview for a new book.

He also claimed the Jan. 6 rioters were a ‘loving crowd’ as he held court for two-and-half-hours at his Mar-a-Lago estate with the authors of ‘I Alone Can Fix It,’ which will be published on Tuesday.

It comes amid a slew of fresh accounts of the last days of Trump’s time in office.

On Monday, Secret Service agents were also captured wheeling paintings of Trump with the signature ‘I am who I am’ into Trump Tower on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue.

He said McConnell had ‘no personality’ and lacked a killer political instinct for failing to eliminate the filibuster, which would have allowed them to force through a Republican agenda.

‘Hes a stupid person,’ he said, according to an excerpt published in Vanity Fair. ‘I dont think hes smart enough.’

He faulted McConnell for not persuading Sen. Joe Manchin, the moderate Democrat from West Virginia, to switch parties.

‘I tried to convince Mitch McConnell to get rid of the filibuster, to terminate it, so that we would get everything, and he was a knucklehead and he didnt do it, he added.

Trump also made familiar claims about the individuals he believed failed him in fighting harder to overturn the election result.

Roger Stone: Trump ‘would Be Wise To Visit Miami’ And Give Cuba Speech

While Florida Democrats fret that President Joe Biden should visit South Florida and give a speech in solidarity with the protesting Cuban people, prominent Trump supporters and Republicans in the state want their leader, former-President Donald Trump, to beat him to it.

Roger Stone, the controversial convicted-then-pardoned former Trump advisor, told Newsweek that one of the main reasons Trump carried Florida in November is because Cuban and Venezuelan voters outperformed Puerto Ricans by almost 20% in terms of turnout.

“Cuban Americans are a very key constituency for the America First coalition,” he said, “and the president would be wise to visit Miami and speak out more on the brave resistance of the Cuban people.”

And Stone is not alone in his belief that Trump should speak in Miami, an appearance which would represent a shocking departure from the norm of U.S. presidential politics and send shockwaves all the way from Cuba 1,100 miles north over Miami to the White House.

At a July 17 protest at the Miami Freedom Tower where participants could be head yelling in Spanish, “If Cuba is in the streets, Miami is as well,” one of the chants related to Biden’s perceived passivity on Cuba and the belief that Trump would do better.

“¡Si Biden no puede, vamos a llamar a Trump!,” could be heard ringing through the protest, which means “If Biden can’t, we’re going to call Trump.”

He warned the White House of the consequences if Trump speaks first.

What We Dont Know

Whether Trump will focus on 2020, 2022 or 2024 at his rallies. Trump has continued to baselessly discount the results of the 2020 election, announcing in a statement earlier this month he plans to refer to the election as the Big Lie. During his CPAC speech in February, he mostly focused on criticizing President Joe Biden, while teasing a 2024 run. Its not clear whether Trump, during these upcoming rallies, will look to help drum up support for Republicans running for office in 2022, or continue to harp on red-meat issues like the 2020 election.

Cpac: Trump Rules Out New Political Party In Speech To Conservatives

Things That President Donald Trump Did Not Do ...

Donald Trump says he has no plans to launch a new political party, telling a conservative conference in Florida that it would split the Republican vote.

In his first speech since Democrat Joe Biden became president, he also hinted that he might run for office again in 2024.

Mr Trump strongly criticised his successor, saying US policy had gone from “America first to America last”.

The speech comes weeks after Mr Trump was acquitted in an impeachment trial.

The Conservative Political Action Conference is the country’s largest meeting of conservative activists and politicians, and usually gives insight into the direction of the Republican Party.

Mr Trump’s appearance at the meeting on Sunday suggests he has continued influence over the party despite some senior politicians distancing themselves recently from the ex-president.

The mood of the conference in Orlando – which began on Thursday – has been extremely pro-Trump, with loyalists including Texas Senator Ted Cruz and his son Donald Trump Jr among the speakers.

The former president remains banned from social media platforms, including Facebook and Twitter, over his response to January’s deadly riot at the US Capitol.

He has been living at his Mar-a-Lago Florida golf resort since leaving the White House in January.

Trump To Hold Iowa Rally As Poll Shows Strong Approval Ratings

  • Former president stays quiet on possible 2024 White House run

Donald Trump was set to return to Iowa on Saturday for a campaign-style rally, on the heels of a poll showing strong support in the state which traditionally kicks off presidential elections.

Trump has not announced a second run for the White House.

Instead, he has maintained control of his party by repeating lies about electoral fraud in his defeat by Joe Biden attempting to block a congressional investigation of the deadly Capitol attack by supporters seeking overturn that defeat fundraising strongly and bragging about how he would defeat potential rivals including the governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, if he chooses to seek the nomination again.

He also continues to attack his own party establishment. This week, Trump condemned the Republican leader in the Senate for ending opposition to helping Democrats raise the US debt limit, a position which threatened economic catastrophe.

In a statement, Trump called the move a terrible deal pushed by folding Mitch McConnell. McConnell seemed sure to come under fire from the stage at the Iowa state fairgrounds in Des Moines on Saturday night.

Ahead of the rally, the Des Moines Register released a poll which showed that 53% of Iowans view Trump favourably.

While Republicans mostly align themselves with Trump, Democrats and independent observers continue to warn about the likely consequences of another Trump run or presidency.

‘iowa What A Place’: Trump Gives Some Love To The Hawkeyes And Recalls His Victory

Despite his dark message about the Biden administration, Trump was upbeat about Iowa during his visit.

“As disastrous as the Biden administration has been, no one can blame the great state of Iowa, because boy we did really we did really good here,” he said. “Iowa, what a place.”

He took the stage shortly after the University of Iowa scored a come-from-behind victory against Penn State in a game that was displayed on large screens during the rally’s pre-program.

“Hello Iowa, and congratulations to the Iowa Hawkeyes!” Trump said, kicking off his remarks. “That was a big win today!”

His appreciation for Iowa extended to Grassley, who he said “has my complete and total endorsement for reelection.”

“We have with us tonight a great American patriot, a man who truly loves Iowa loves Iowa,” Trump said. “Hes a young very young guy. Hes strong. And hes very handsome. He fights like no other. When Ive needed him for help he was always there.”

As for Gov. Kim Reynolds, who has not formally announced her reelection campaign, Trump hinted that an endorsement could be coming very soon.

“I said Kim, do you want me to endorse you tonight or later? And she said, ‘Sir, this is Chuck Grassleys night.’ How great is that?”

At Ohio Rally Trump Knocks Biden On Border Hints At 2024 Plans

Ivanka Trump speaks at a ‘Make America Great Again! event in Fort Myers

WELLINGTON, Ohio, June 26 – At his first rally since leaving the White House, former President Donald Trump on Saturday lambasted the Biden administration’s immigration policies and sought to energize Republicans to take back majorities in Congress next year.

Appearing to relish being back in front of thousands of supporters, Trump repeated his false claim that his defeat in the November 2020 election was marred by fraud.

Trump left office in the aftermath of the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol by his supporters, shortly after a speech in which he urged a crowd to “fight” when then President-elect Joe Biden’s victory was about to be certified by lawmakers.

Trump survived a second impeachment on a charge linked to the violence and has kept broad influence over the Republican Party, in part by leaving open the question of whether he will run for office again in 2024.

He dangled that possibility on Saturday to the crowd.

“We won the election twice and it’s possible we’ll have to win it a third time. It’s possible,” he said.

Trump won the 2016 election against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. He lost in 2020.

Whether he runs again could be influenced by the outcome of various legal troubles. The Manhattan district attorneys office has told Trump’s lawyers it is considering filing criminal charges against his family business, the New York Times reported on Friday.

Biden’s White House has called Trump’s immigration policies inhumane.

What Did Donald Trump Say

The 74-year-old former president was cheered by supporters when he appeared on stage at the Hyatt Regency Hotel more than an hour late. Many people in the crowd were not wearing masks.

“I stand before you today to declare that the incredible journey we began together four years ago is far from over,” he said.

“We are gathered this afternoon to talk about the future – the future of our movement, the future of our party, and the future of our beloved country.”

He dismissed any idea that he might start a new political party – describing rumours he would do so as “fake news”.

“Wouldn’t that be brilliant? Let’s start a new party so we can divide our vote and never win,” he joked.

“We have the Republican Party. It’s going to unite and be stronger than ever before.”

In his CPAC speech, Mr Trump repeated his false claims that he lost November’s election to the Democrats because of electoral fraud and he hinted at another run in 2024, saying: “Actually you know they just lost the White House. But who knows – who knows? I may even decide to beat them for a third time, OK?”

He excoriated the new administration, criticising Mr Biden for reversing his hard line on immigration and border security.

“We all knew that the Biden administration was going to be bad but none of us even imagined how just how bad they would be and how far left they would go,” he told the cheering crowd.

Why Is Trump In North Carolina

First, Trump narrowly won the state in 2020 but he’s still very popular among Republicans. And with the GOP looking to win back control of Congress in 2022, most candidates are looking for Trump’s endorsement. Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, has even been rumored to be interested in the U.S. Senate seat in North Carolina.

But if Trump has plans to run for the White House again, he has some work to do. A recent NBC News poll found that less than one-third of Americans have a favorable view of the former president.

Trump is scheduled to speak Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
