Republican Party Faces Rage From Both Pro

‘Why I’m no longer voting for Trump’: Lifelong Republicans on why they’re voting for Joe Biden

WASHINGTON – After riots at the U.S. Capitol by President Donald Trumps supporters, the Republican Party is facing defections from two camps of voters it cant afford to lose: those saying Trump and his allies went too far in contesting the election of Democrat Joe Biden – and those saying they didnt go far enough, according to new polling and interviews with two dozen voters.

Paul Foster – a 65-year-old house painter in Ellsworth, Maine – is furious at party leaders for refusing to back the presidents claims that the election was stolen with millions of fraudulent votes. The party is going to be totally broken if it abandons Trump, Foster says, predicting Trump loyalists will spin off into a new third party.

I just wish he would run away with his tail between his legs, Cupelo says.

Though Republicans have now lost control of the White House and both houses of Congress in just four years, Trumps base remains a potent electoral force in the party. That base helped him capture more voters some 74 million than any Republican in history. The vast majority of his supporters, including 70% of Republicans, remain loyal, according to new Reuters/Ipsos polling conducted days after last weeks riot at the Capitol, and many activists say theyre willing to abandon the GOP for any perceived slight against their leader.

The Perils Of A Trump

Trump is dangerous. But contrary to conventional wisdom, his potential danger lies not in his political or ideological extremism but rather his vulgar populism.

What seems like off-the-cuff spouts of racism against Latinos, Asians or Muslims is in fact a carefully considered appeasement of white angry Americans? If America is somewhat in the middle of a nervous breakdown, expect this racist demagogue to make more false promises to gain traction or get validation.

Second, Trumps paranoiac reflections and solutions bring out the worst in Americans. His explicit support for torture, banning Muslims, breaking international agreements and reversing healthcare, among other things, doesnt bode well for the future of the US or its role in the world.

And third, as Trump gains momentum and moves centre-stage, his neo-fascist demagogy and racism become the new norm on the Right and eventually an acceptable discourse in the US.

What thus far had been the political rhetoric of the fringe, has been amplified by the electoral process, and is growing into a regressive force in US politics and culture. Indeed, by way of food for thought, this McDonald offers more of the same mass, fast and cheap recipes for disaster.

Why Republican Voters Say Theres No Way In Hell Trump Lost

SUNDOWN, Texas – Brett Fryar is a middle-class Republican. A 50-year-old chiropractor in this west Texas town, he owns a small business. He has two undergraduate degrees and a masters degree, in organic chemistry. He attends Southcrest Baptist Church in nearby Lubbock.

Fryar didnt much like Donald Trump at first, during the U.S. presidents 2016 campaign. He voted for Texas Senator Ted Cruz in the Republican primaries.

Now, Fryar says he would go to war for Trump. He has joined the newly formed South Plains Patriots, a group of a few hundred members that includes a reactionary force of about three dozen – including Fryar and his son, Caleb – who conduct firearms training.

Nothing will convince Fryar and many others here in Sundown – including the towns mayor, another Patriots member – that Democrat Joe Biden won the Nov. 3 presidential election fairly. They believe Trumps stream of election-fraud allegations and say theyre preparing for the possibility of a civil war with the American political left.

If President Trump comes out and says: Guys, I have irrefutable proof of fraud, the courts wont listen, and Im now calling on Americans to take up arms, we would go, said Fryar, wearing a button-down shirt, pressed slacks and a paisley tie during a recent interview at his office.

This is dystopian, Light said. America could fracture.

Reasons Why Trump Is Likely To Win Re

Edited by Tom Alford, Editor in Chief

President Trump has been repeatedly reported to be trailing in the polls for this weeks General Election. However, we predict that the incumbents re-election is highly likely, and not as improbable as the mainstream media, polls and political risk institutions suggest. Although tentative, we are sharing with you a forecast which will highlight the various factors that could likely result in a victory for President Trump on November 3rd.

Some factors that point to a likely victory for President Trump on November 3rd:

1) Unreliability of polls:

In the months leading up to the 2016 General Election, of the wide range of political opinion polls generated and released, only a select few predicted Trumps victory. Accurately predicting such an outcome is extremely difficult, given the many challenges to gathering representative sample sizes especially within a country as large and diverse as the United States. Moreover, as arguably demonstrated by the data gathered in 2016, Trumps core voter base is less likely to participate in the relevant surveys used to collect this information.

2) Bidens complicated relationship with Black voters:

3) Voter Enthusiasm:

4) Bidens shaky economic message:

5) Trade narrative matters:

7) Corruption and outsider status:

8) Pandemic Response and Economic Impact:

9) Strong economy pre Covid & rebound:

An Anarchist Who Revels In Destruction

Trump is Right: Why You Should Vote Trump in 2020

I would like to offer my reasoning for supporting Trump. I know he would do a pretty terrible job at this point, but I really am at the point of letting the whole thing burn down and explode. Trump would help us get there faster and more efficiently. Like the joker from The Dark Knight, I just want to see the world burn. I guess I am an anarchist in that respect. Once its all burnt down maybe we can have that constitutional convention we really need to fix things and get this country back on track if it still exists. Happy Friday. New 2020 Voter Data: How Biden Won How Trump Kept The Race Close And What It Tells Us About The Future

As we saw in 2016 and again in 2020, traditional survey research is finding it harder than it once was to assess presidential elections accurately. Pre-election polls systemically misjudge who is likely to vote, and exit polls conducted as voters leave the voting booths get it wrong as well.

Now, using a massive sample of validated voters whose participation has been independently verified, the Pew Research Center has . It helps us understand how Joe Biden was able to accomplish what Hillary Clinton did notand why President Trump came closer to getting reelected than the pre-election surveys had predicted.

How Joe Biden won

Five main factors account for Bidens success.

  • The Biden campaign reunited the Democratic Party. Compared to 2016, he raised the share of moderate and conservative Democrats who voted for the Democratic nominee by 6 points, from 85 to 91%, while increasing the Democratic share of liberal Democrats from 94 to 98%. And he received the support of 85% of Democrats who had defected to 3rd party and independent candidates in 2016.
  • How Trump kept it close

Despite non-stop controversy about his policies and personal conduct, President Trump managed to raise his share of the popular vote from 46% in 2016 to 47% in 2020. His core coalition held together, and he made a few new friends.

Seven Reasons Why As A Christian I Am Voting For President Donald J Trump

    Stephanie Robinson, Guest Writer|October 30, 2020

As a Christian, I am unapologetically voting for Donald J. Trump. Although some argue that the Christian position must be in opposition to President Trump, I argue exactly the opposite.

First, Trump is the pro-religious freedom candidate. Some would argue that religious freedom is not of issue, but when government leaders shut down the in-person gathering of believers, it is clear that religious freedom is at stake. Since the most important thing that we can do while we are on this earth is to have a personal relationship with Christ and be free to worship, praise, and glorify His name, religious freedom is critical. Trump has demonstrated his commitment to the constitutional first amendment and stands to protect the rights of all to worship and gather. He appointed judges and justices that believe the church is essential and on May 22nd, before most pastors had the courage to do so, President Trump deemed houses of worship as essential and called upon governors to allow for places of worship to open. He stated, In America, we need more prayer, not less.

Fourth, Democrats have been saying for years that they will pass criminal justice reform, but it was Trump that got it done. Trump signed the First Step Act, criminal justice reform, that allowed for many prisoners to be successfully reentered into society after having been given long sentences for small crimes. This is the biblical principle of redemption at work.

Why Id Vote For Trump But You Shouldnt

Trumps potential danger lies not in his political or ideological extremism per se.

    • Senior political analyst at Al Jazeera.

There are at least three reasons why Donald Trump is leading in the United States Republican primaries, three more why I would vote for him, and another three reasons why sensible Americans shouldnt.

As he trumps the other Republican candidates, Trumps popularity figures contradict most predictions of an early demise.

If this outsider who defies all scepticism maintains his lead into March, the Republican establishment will have no choice but to embrace the obnoxious New York contractor as one of its own.

Sanders and Trump win big in New Hampshire primary

This in effect should guarantee Trump the Republican nomination and set the US, and indeed the rest of the world, on an unpredictable path come November.

Trump Has The Tiger By The Tail

Why Should I Vote For Donald Trump? 2020

Ok, first off, I am just a little cog in the big wheel of life! Why am I voting for Trump you ask? Very simple! The Reds and the Blues of this country have had plenty of time to get the situation under control and they have proven that they are incapable of getting the job done! Nero Plays as Rome Burns! And the Senators are hiding and licking their wounds like scared sheep! Enter The Donald!

Like him or hate him, he is a businessman and he has the Tiger by the Tail! The Tiger is the common working man in this country that is tired of Politics and Washington continuing to screw us over in the process of ruining the country we all love! We want to give a businessman the chance to prove that this country can be great again! All the Dems can come up with is a Socialist, a confirmed habitual liar and the village idiot! The Repubs have all their faith in a Shrub that cant even speak to a group and make sense. The rest are milling around trying to fake that they can keep up! Politics is in the dumper and just maybe the best hope for America is The Donald!

    Why Vote For Donald Trump

October 13, 2020 By Debbie Young

President Donald J. Trump walks into the East Room of the White House to address his remarks on Operation Legend: Combatting Violent Crime in American Cities Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at the White House.

Trump may not be your favorite, but as Francis Menton points out, he is our only option for pushing back against the malign forces for which Biden is the current figurehead and frontman. We need to vote for Trump. We need to get Trump as big a victory as possible, hopefully a landslide. Indeed, if we really care about libertarianism, this is our duty.

Recently Francis Menton, aka The Manhattan Contrarian, participated in an online debate on why Libertarians should vote for Trump. The debate, presented by the Soho Forum, is a monthly debate series in Manhattan. The presentations of the other debaters, Mr. Menton advises readers, will be posted on the Soho Forum website within a few days.

    Francis Mentons opening statement:

Whom should a Libertarian vote for President in 2020?

The answer is obvious: Donald Trump.

Mr. Menton discusses in great detail why in America we have a two party system. Go to his website for further reading.

To have meaningful participation in the presidential election requires voters to join one of the two broad coalitions that constitute our two main political parties, maintains Mr. Menton.
