What Is Donald Trump’s Iq

What Is Donald Trump’s Iq Here’s How The President’s Boasts Of His Intelligence Stack Up

Stephen Found Trump’s IQ Test Results

Donald Trump has boasted about being “like, really smart” and “a very stable genius” – but just how smart is the billionaire president?

President Donald Trump has once again sparked a debate about his intelligence and fitness for office, after claims in an explosive new book.

In response, Trump went on a Twitter rant, branding the book “really boring and untruthful”, and adding that he is “like, really smart” and “a very stable genius”.

Trump’s IQ has been a subject of debate for years.

In 2013, he tweeted that his IQ was “much higher” than presidential predecessors Barack Obama and George W Bush.

And in October he challenged Rex Tillerson to an IQ test after reports that his Secretary of State had called him a “f**king moron”.

The president told Forbes: “I think it’s fake news. But if he did that, I guess we’ll have to compare IQ tests. And I can tell you who is going to win.”

In 2016, then-candidate Trump even challenged London Mayor Sadiq Khan to an IQ test , amid a bitter transatlantic war of words over his comments about Muslims.

Mr Khan branded The Donald ‘ignorant’ over his plan to ban Muslims from entering America, saying his views would make the world less safe if he became President.

So we were wondering…what is Donald Trump’s IQ?

He’s frequently mocked for saying some pretty outlandish things.

And according to Wolff’s book, he is considered by those closest to his presidency as“no more than semi-literate”.

So here’s what we found out about The Donald’s IQ.

Fact Check: How Smart Is President

Times-Union readers want to know:

I received an email with a chart that supposedly ranks the intelligence quotients of U.S. presidents, along with the claim that President-elect Donald Trump would rank among the smartest with an IQ of 156. Is this legitimate?

The chart is based on a 2006 study conducted by University of California, Davis psychologist Dean Keith Simonton, Snopes.com reports. As IQ scores were not available for most of the presidents, Simonton used a “historiometric” approach to estimate their results:

In the conventional approach to measuring IQ, Snopes.com notes, people are given a standardized test, such as the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale, and their score on the test is assumed to reflect their level of intelligence . In the historiometric approach, a person’s IQ is quantitatively estimated based on variables having known correlations with IQ, such as highest level of education, academic honors, scores on college admissions exams, occupation and preferences.

Simonton’s research was boiled down into the chart for a 2015 article published by US News, Snopes.com found. The chart shows the top 5 most intelligent presidents are John Quincy Adams , Thomas Jefferson , John F. Kennedy , Bill Clinton and Woodrow Wilson . The bottom 5 are Andrew Johnson , George W. Bush , Warren G. Harding , James Monroe and Ulysses S. Grant .

So, even though the IQ chart is based on a real study, it’s still just estimation. And there is no way to know what Trump’s IQ is.

Presidential Campaign And 2011 Hints At Presidential Run

In 2000, Trump ran in the California and Michigan primaries for nomination as the Reform Party candidate for the 2000 United States presidential election but withdrew from the race in February 2000. A July 1999 poll matching him against likely Republican nominee George W. Bush and likely Democratic nominee Al Gore showed Trump with seven percent support.

In 2011, Trump speculated about running against President Barack Obama in the 2012 election, making his first speaking appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference in February 2011 and giving speeches in early primary states. In May 2011, he announced he would not run, and he endorsed Mitt Romney in February 2012. Trump’s presidential ambitions were generally not taken seriously at the time.

I Took A Closer Look At The Cognitive Test Trump Claims To Have Aced

The test the president boasted about passing does not measure IQ but is typically used to check for early signs of dementia

Like any smart, down-to-earth person, Donald Trump has been bragging about acing a simple cognitive test he took recently. Hes been doing it for a while now, but it wasnt until his interview with Fox Newss Chris Wallace on Sunday that he was challenged over it.

As the president started boasting about his results, Wallace laughed. I took the test too when I heard that you passed it, the Fox News host told Trump. Its not well its not the hardest test. They have a picture and it says whats that and its an elephant.

This, according to Trump, was misrepresentation. Yes, the first few questions are easy, he conceded. But Ill bet you couldnt even answer the last five questions. Ill bet you couldnt, they get very hard, the last five questions. He added: I guarantee you that Joe Biden could not answer those questions.

So what is the test and are the last five questions, as Trump claims, really so difficult?

There are a few different versions of the test with small variations , but the questions are generally the same. We cant tell for sure which version Trump took, but as he said he did it recently, Ive taken the latest MoCA test from their website.

But before we dive into that, heres what the test involves:

Mensa Reveals What An Iq Test Could Look Like For Trump Tillerson

Behold, Donald Trump

President Trump’s attack on Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has Mensa saying “it would be fun” to have them take one of their IQ tests.

Mensa’s response comes on the heels of Mr. Trump saying in an interview published Tuesday that he’s smarter than the top member of his Cabinet as he was reacting to a report that Tillerson previously called the commander in chief a “moron.”

“I think it’s fake news, but if he did that, I guess we’ll have to compare IQ tests. And I can tell you who is going to win,” Mr. Trump told Forbes.

On Tuesday, the high IQ society Mensa offered to administer the test. Charles Brown, the communications director for the group, joined CBSN’s Elaine Quijano so she could try to answer the type of questions that would be asked.

Brown and Quijano walked through one of the questions on CBSN’s “Red & Blue” show, and CBS News has obtained two more questions:

“I’m looking at the answer … that’s not what I came up with …” Quijano said about question one and added, “See this is the difficulty of live television Charles … it’s forcing me to think in a way that is just completely foreign to me.”

Brown mentioned that some of the questions to be eligible for Mensa may seem fairly easy, but you may need to answer 80 questions in 30 minutes.

Brown said neither the State Department nor the White House took up Mensa’s offer directly.

“The president is allowed to joke,” Nauert said, and Tillerson is “more than fine with that.”

However What Is Iq For President Trump

In December 2016, one could have seen a chart making social media rounds attempting to rate the former Presidents IQs. Donald Trumps score: 156, which would put him in the 99,977 percentile. However on the side of the chart, the name of Donald Trump was put, so can it be dependable?

The chart, yes the score of Trump, false, Snoops claimed. The diagram is from a 2006 study, although psychologist Dean Keith Simonton of the University of Southern California, Davis predicts many of IQ scores of prior leaders.

The 156 rumor is mentioned in an article released in August 2015.

This IQ score argument is based on the article BeforeItsNews.com, which states that Donald Trumps IQ may be estimated based on his went to the Union of Pennsylvanias Wharton School of 1968.

The writer says that “I believe that Mr. Trump has 156, given the usual requirements for admission to a top school including such Wharton.

However, Snopess comments point out two major ways to explain this inadequate : first of all, that Whartons load-bearing wall for SATs.

If people presume that the specifications can be translated correctly to IQ scores convert to a spectrum of IQs among 145 and 149 rather than 156.

That means that he may not have met the acceptance criteria as a freshman and, even if he did, they likely had a lower IQ level of 150, 156.

So, what was the IQ of Donald Trump? Perhaps the world ever learns. Perhaps he will provide official IQ test scores along with his tax records.

Misogyny And Allegations Of Sexual Misconduct

Trump has a history of insulting and belittling women when speaking to media and on social media. He made lewd comments, demeaned women’s looks, and called them names like ‘dog’, ‘crazed, ‘crying lowlife’, ‘face of a pig’, or ‘horseface’.

In October 2016, two days before the second presidential debate, a 2005 “hot micrecording surfaced in which Trump was heard bragging about kissing and groping women without their consent, saying “when you’re a star, they let you do it, you can do anything… grab ’em by the pussy.” The incident’s widespread media exposure led to Trump’s first public apology during the campaign and caused outrage across the political spectrum.

At least twenty-six women have publicly accused Trump of sexual misconduct as of September 2020, including his then-wife Ivana. There were allegations of rape, violence, being kissed and groped without consent, looking under women’s skirts, and walking in on naked women. In 2016, he denied all accusations, calling them “false smears,” and alleged there was a conspiracy against him.

Repeat After Me And Do Some Maths

Both of these sections are very simple, and involve repeating a series of numbers forwards and backwards, and remembering a string of five random words. The final part, which Chris Wallace mentioned, asks you to count back from 100 in multiples of seven . Like the clock, this took me slightly longer than I would have liked but nowhere does it say this is a timed test. I did it in the end, slowly but surely.

Storming Of The Capitol

President Donald Trump Says His IQ Higher Than Rex Tillerson’s | Morning Joe | MSNBC

On January 6, 2021, while congressional certification of the presidential election results was taking place in the United States Capitol, Trump held a rally at the Ellipse, where he called for the election result to be overturned and urged his supporters to “take back our country” by marching to the Capitol to “show strength” and “fight like hell.” Trump’s speech started at noon. By 12:30 p.m., rally attendees had gathered outside the Capitol, and at 1 p.m, his supporters pushed past police barriers onto Capitol grounds. Trump’s speech ended at 1:10 p.m., the crowd grew larger as more supporters marched on the Capitol. Around 2:15 p.m. the mob broke into the building, disrupting certification and causing the evacuation of Congress. During the violence, Trump posted mixed messages on Twitter and Facebook, eventually tweeting to the rioters at 6 p.m, “go home with love & in peace”, but describing them as “great patriots” and “very special”, while still complaining that the election was stolen. After the mob was removed from the Capitol, Congress reconvened and confirmed the Biden election win in the early hours of the following morning. There were many injuries, and five people, including a Capitol Police officer, died.

What To We Know About Donald Trump’s Iq

This has been a matter of some debate, but we’ll give it a go.

There’s no evidence he’s ever actually taken a formal IQ test, but we can fudge a guess from his education and achievements.

Several articles have estimated his IQ at around 156, which would make him smarter than 99.98% of the population.

This article was based on Trump being a graduate of the prestigious Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania.

‘people Who Boast About Their Iq Are Losers’

Studies say that bragging about your superiority makes people like you lessso what does Donald Trump hope to gain?

In 2004, a New York Times reporter asked Stephen Hawking what his IQ was. I have no idea, the theoretical physicist replied. People who boast about their IQ are losers.

President Donald Trump seems to think otherwise. After recent reports that Rex Tillerson, his secretary of state, , Trump told Forbes: I think its fake news, but if he did that, I guess well have to compare IQ tests. And I can tell you who is going to win.

As Philip Bump at The Washington Postreported, Trump has a history of boasting about his IQ, and challenging others to IQ tests. His supporters have also taken up this cause for him in the past. In December 2016, a chart made the rounds saying that Trumps IQ was 156, putting him above most past presidents. The fact-checking website Snopesrated this claim as false: While the chart was based on a real study, the study didnt have real IQ scores for most presidents , Trump wasnt included in the study, and most importantly,Donald Trumps true intelligence quotient is unknown, the article reads.

It isnt totally surprising that Trump seems to think his IQ is exceptional. If asked, most people would say they are smarter than the average person. This is a well-studied phenomenon in psychology known as the better-than-average effect or self-enhancement.

Does Anyone Believe The Iq That He Claims

Some think he is a genius, others still can’t believe he is President. But, how smart is he really? Is his I.Q. really very high?

According to Snopes.com,

A chart purportedly ranking the intelligence quotients of former presidents of the United States made the rounds on social media in December 2016, along with the claim that the President-elect would rank among the smartest, boasting an IQ of 156: …

This article is chock-full of logical missteps and factual inaccuracies. Donald Trumps official school transcripts are not available, so it is impossible to know his actual scholastic aptitude scores. While the articles author used Whartons general admission requirements to estimate Trumps IQ, the math still doesnt quite add up.

According to PrepScholar.com, Whartons SAT requirements are currently set at 1500. This roughly translatesto an IQ score between 145 and 149, not 156. Regardless, Whartons admission requirements are irrelevant, since Trump did not enter Wharton as a freshman. He transferred there his junior year, and Wharton does not list SAT scores among its requirements for transfer students.

Gwenda Blair claimed in her 2001 biography about Donald Trump and his family that the President-elect was admitted to Wharton thanks to a friendly admissions officer:

According to Snopes, the claim that Trump has an IQ of 156 is false.
