How Can One Contact Donald Trump

Melania Trump Allegedly Used Private Email Accounts During Time in White House

With social media and public appearances, especially in New York, Donald Trump has always made himself accessible to the public. As President, however, there are fewer ways to contact him.

Contacting Donald Trump Through the Official Site

As President of the United States, there are a few ways in which a citizen can leave feedback for him. The first step is to contact the White House directly via the official White House website at www.whitehouse.gov/ . Users can then navigate to the Contact page, where they can leave a message. There are two types of messages that can be selected. Users can contact the President directly or choose a different type if they need help with a federal agency. Users are then asked to leave their name, address and means of contact for response.

In lieu of leaving a web message for the White House, those who wish to contact Donald Trump or the White House may do so by calling or writing a letter. There are two separate numbers via which callers can Call the President. To simply leave comments, callers can dial 202-456-1111. To reach the White House switchboard directly, users can call 202-456-1414. Those who require a TTY/TTD line can call 202-456-6213 to leave comments, or dial 202-456-2121 to reach the visitors office. To send a letter, write to: The White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, D.C., 20500.

Did Melania Trump Use Personal Email For Government Business Frinformsum 9/4/2020

Book Alleges Melania Trump Joins Growing List of Trump Administration Officials to Use Personal Email

A new book by First Lady Melania Trumps former adviser, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, alleges that Mrs. Trump regularly used a private Trump Organization email account, an email from a MelaniaTrump.com domain, iMessage and the encrypted messaging app Signal while in the White House for conducting official government business. Wolkoff makes the claim in her upcoming book, Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady. The Presidential Records Act technically allows White House officials to use their personal email for official business, but the emails must be copied on official government servers not later than 20 days after they were created.

The First Lady joins a growing list of high-ranking federal officials who have improperly used private email and/or failed to preserve records. Here are a few recent low-lights:

The governments failure to preserve its emails dates all the way back to January 1989 beginning with an attempt by the outgoing Reagan White House to destroy its email backup tapes. This destruction was only thwarted by the National Security Archives lawsuit, which first established emails as federal records. A lot of these systems are flagged automatically or occur when customer complaints come in, so thats a hard case to make. Theres no evidence that the carriers or their partners are flagging and blocking these messages for reasons other than preventing spam.

The telecom companies are also far more reserved when it comes to staking out a political position, with the carriers previously having praised Trump for his large corporate tax cut in 2017.

When it comes to combatting spam, the motivation is primarily driven by the need to eliminate something most people find annoying.

Donald Trump Really Wants You To Text His Name To 88022 But Will He Ever Text Back

At Donald Trump rallies and news conferences, the invocation is very often printed in the cameras lines of sight to ensure maximum exposure:

Text Trump to 88022

If you assumed this is a fundraising ploy, youd be wrong. The Republican presidential front-runner is self-funding his campaign, remember?

Instead of money, Trump ostensibly wants a channel to communicate directly with voters. His website advertises exclusive updates for those who subscribe to the texting service.

One problem: Trump doesnt seem to use the service very often.

Two weeks ago, on the day of the Wisconsin primary, I signed up and prepared for The Donald to Make My iPhone Great Again with the exclusive updates I had been promised. Heres how it went.

And then nothing for 14 days.

Last week, Fix colleague Philip Bump had the good idea to subscribe using a New York ZIP code to see whether the Trump campaign might be targeting residents of the Empire State ahead of the primary. He got nothing for five days.

Finally, on primary day Tuesday, the first exclusive updates arrived.

Later, after I asked the campaign about its use or underuse of the text line, both Bump and I received this message.

What. A. Waste.

Maybe, in another message, Trump could ask subscribers to name the No. 1 issue in the campaign: Text A for immigration, B for terrorism, C for trade, D for gun rights.

Heres what Buell recommends:

Will there be a second wave of coronavirus?

In recent days the UK has seen a sudden sharp increase in Covid-19 infection numbers, leading to fears that a second wave of cases is beginning.

Epidemics of infectious diseases behave in different ways but the 1918 influenza pandemic that killed more than 50 million people is regarded as a key example of a pandemic that occurred in multiple waves, with the latter more severe than the first. It has been replicated albeit more mildly in subsequent flu pandemics. Until now that had been what was expected from Covid-19.

How and why multiple-wave outbreaks occur, and how subsequent waves of infection can be prevented, has become a staple of epidemiological modelling studies and pandemic preparation, which have looked at everything from social behaviour and health policy to vaccination and the buildup of community immunity, also known as herd immunity.

Is there evidence of coronavirus coming back in a second wave?

What are experts worried about?
