My Friend Donald Trump

Donald Trump writes to me often, usually several times a day. The president, as he calls himselfnone of that former businesswants me to know how much he values me as a trusted ally. He is forever offering me exciting opportunities, like the chance for my name to be permanently engraved on the Official 2022 Trump Donor Wall in his office. All I need to do for this to happen is contribute $45 by midnight.

Space is extremely limited, the president warned. This could be your only chance.

President Trump is always looking out for me that way. He has told me countless times that I must act quickly because time is running out. Hes been saying that about the Donor Wall since he first brought it up, weeks ago. Since then, hes given me a generous number of only chances.

The president and others in his inner circle, including Donald Jr., have also sent me multiple limited-time offers to have my name appear on his birthday card. Ive been given about ten last chances to do this since mid-May, including one from Jr. that promised me priority access to sign my fathers Official Birthday Card before ANYONE ELSE. I missed all of these chances. But, who knows, maybe there will be others before his actual birthday on June 14?

But only if I act before 11:59 p.m. Otherwise, I am just going to have to wait until the following day.

This has been going on for years.

Dr Fauci Said Trump Should Tell People To Get The Vaccine And Cant Comprehend Why Politics Should Play A Part

Dr. Fauci addressed the issue on Meet the Press Sunday morning. I want to talk about vaccine hesitancy here, said host Todd, because were noticing something, at least in polling, that it is not the conventional wisdom about conducting hesitancy, that you see this divided by race. Were seeing a bigger divide by politics. We talked about it earlier, for instance, among Trump voters, 47% have said that they will not be vaccinated.half of Republican men say, theyre not going to take this vaccine. You had the PSA with all the former presidents, except one presidentTrumpin there. Do you think he needs to be enlisted here at all to get his voters to take this?

Look, I hope he does, said Fauci, because the numbers that you gave us so disturbing how such a large proportion of a certain group of people would not want to get vaccinated merely because of political consideration. It makes absolutely no sense. And Ive been saying that for so long, weve got to dissociate political persuasion from whats common sense, no-brainer, public health things. The history of vaccinology has rescued us from smallpox, from polio, from measles, from all of the other diseases. What is the problem here?

Message To Trump: This Is Why You Lost The Election

There is a compelling scene in the 2014 blockbuster movie Guardians of the Galaxy in which the Peter Quill character, played by Chris Pratt, is threatened by the Yondu character, played by Michael Rooker. Yondu looks menacingly into Quills eyes and declares, When I picked you up as a kid, these boys wanted to eat you. I saved your life. Quill screams back in his defense, Oh, will you shut up about that? Normal people dont even think about eating someone else, much less that person having to be grateful for it.

Cut to the 2020 presidential election and, according to a forthcoming book by Wall Street Journal reporter Michael Bender titled Frankly, We Did Win This Election, then-President Trump angrily interrupted a policy meeting in the Oval Office to vent about Joe Biden by allegedly asking, How am I losing in the polls to a mental retard?

Thats how, to begin with. To paraphrase Peter Quill, Normal people dont even think about calling someone else a mental retard.’

Normal people dont, but egotistical bullies who favor 1970s insults might have no problem spewing out a demeaning label that has made most people cringe for decades now. Thats one of the most important answers to Trumps reported question: Live by the insult sword, die by the insult sword.

If he indeed asked such a revolting question in the White House, he insulted the presidency and those Americans who believe the office should represent the best in all of us.

British Elections Send A Message To Trump Gop And Bidens Democrats

People receiving stimulus checks get letter signed by President Donald ...

If Donald Trump were at all self-reflective, he would probably be kicking himself right now as he surveys the results of last weeks British elections. Through his own mistakes and obstinance in his handling of the coronavirus pandemic, he might conclude that he kicked away his chance to serve a second term in the White House.

These were the first elections in Britain since Boris Johnson became prime minister in 2019 and Johnsons Conservative Party came out winning, both in local races and in a signature victory in a working-class, parliamentary district in northeast England long held by the Labour Party.

Johnson, like Trump, mishandled the early stages of the pandemic. Like the former U.S. president, he contracted covid-19, and had a far worse case, having been hospitalized and in intensive care for a time. But his later handling of the pandemic was less uneven, and this year Britain stepped farther and faster in administering vaccinations than other European nations. It helped.

The British elections were not purely about the coronavirus pandemic, but nothing in politics today is free from the viruss effects in health, economic well-being and the public mood. On the most important issue of campaign 2020, Trump was a victim of his own making.

As Republicans debate Trumps role and what it means to be a conservative, Johnson, like Trump, is rewriting the rules of what conservatism means.

Trump Mobilizing More Democrats Than Republicans

Gallup included a new question in this poll to gauge how much of a factor Trump is in mobilizing voters this year. Among registered voters, 36% say they are more likely to vote in the midterm elections because of their feelings about Trump, while 63% say their feelings about the president make no difference in whether they vote. While Trumps impact on mobilizing voters may seem somewhat low given his effect on voters candidate choice in the question above, these questions are measuring two distinct things intention to vote and vote choice. Whereas voters may be more motivated to cast their ballot for a specific candidate because of their feelings about Trump, they may have intended to vote regardless of who occupies the White House.

Democratic voters are more likely than Republican voters to say they will cast a ballot because of their feelings about Trump 44% to 29%, respectively. Republican voters skew older and are generally more likely to vote than Democratic voters, regardless of who is president. Yet, a majority of each partys voters still say Trump will not make a difference in whether they vote this year.

Gingrich: Best Ways To Send A Message To Trump Are Through Fox & Friends And Hannity

Occasionally, wed talk on Seans show knowing Trump was watching, Gingrich told The New York Times, referring to Sean Hannity

The two most effective ways of communicating with Trump are Fox & Friends and Hannity, Gingrich added.

Trump this year has repeatedly praised Fox & Friends, which recently announced that it would expand its weekday programming to five hours.

Gingrich in his interview with the newspaper praised Hannitys show as a successful way to communicate with Americans.

There are very few people who have a better understanding of the broad base, a better intuitive understanding of the kind of folks who elected Trump. He at least matches or surpasses Rush in that understanding, Gingrich told the newspaper of Hannity.

The president recently sparked controversy by saying Fox News is much more important than its rival network, CNN.

Fox News is MUCH more important in the United States than CNN, but outside of the U.S., CNN International is still a major source of news, and they represent our Nation to the WORLD very poorly. The outside world does not see the truth from them! Trump said in a tweet last week.

Everyone in the US received an emergency alert from President Donald Trump on their phone on Wednesday afternoon.

Its a test of a new alert system, the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System, thats supposed to be used in specific circumstances to communicate with the public.

The alert attempted to send the message to every phone in the US operating on a network run by a carrier opting into the Wireless Emergency Alert system.

It is the first time a text service has been tested. TV and radio alerts have been tested before.

The content of the message made it clear that the message is only a drill. It read: THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed.

According to Federal Emergency Management Agency : The test will assess the operational readiness of the infrastructure for distribution of a national message and determine whether improvements are needed.

The system is the same one thats used to warn the public about dangerous weather or missing children.

But Didn’t The Trump Campaign Say It Was In Compliance With The Tcpa And Fcc Guidelines

Yes, and that’s accurate. But that’s largely because the legal guidelines around these kinds of P2P text messages aren’t clear.

The TCPA and FCC have rules about abuse on autodialer systems that can automatically send messages or make phone calls. But there isn’t any guidance on these systems because they’re run by humans.

The CTIA’s statement about requiring opt-out language and prior consent are part of recommended guidelines to the industry for players like the carriers and senders like political campaigns. But the trade group has no ability to enforce these guidelines, which are more like mutually agreed upon practices than firm laws.

An upcoming may offer some guidance on the legal definition of phone spam.

So What Was The Problem

The volume of messages likely tripped up the system. But the potential issue may have been that the messages didnt include clear opt-out language, and the senders may not have gained consent ahead of time.

While the carriers havent spoken about the incident, the CTIA, the trade group that represents the US wireless industry, made clear that recipients must be able to unsubscribe from unsolicited texts.

We expect all senders whether airlines, schools, banks or campaigns to include clear opt-out language and gain prior consent before sending a text, said a spokesman for the organization. These simple steps help protect consumers from spam, and maintain text messaging as a trusted medium for everyone.

Donald Trump Offering Personalized Messages On Post

Former President Donald Trump has a large and fiercely loyal following of supporters, and now hes given them a way to request a personalized message.

Trumps post-presidential website has a section where supporters can request a message from the ex-president and former first lady Melania Trump for a special occasion.

Its not uncommon for a former president to give people a way to reach, and you can request a personalized memento from former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

Requesting a message from the Trumps is fairly easy and can be submitted electronically directly from his website. The form asks about the occasion, information on the recipient and requestor and any additional details the former president should know.

Receiving a message from Trump isnt guaranteed, though, and requires planning because it can take up to six weeks to get a greeting. The office wont provide status updates, either, and advises people to not resubmit a request because a duplicate request will supersede the original submission and delay processing.

Record high numbers of people turned out in last Novembers election, and although he lost to Joe Biden, Trump received the most votes of any Republican presidential candidate in history. He hasnt ruled out making another bid for the presidency in 2024, and a majority of his supporters are willing to back him as the Republican nominee.
