Why Is Trump An Asshole

Why Do Trump Voters Believe His Lies It’s Not Because They’re Stupid

Look at These Assholes: Trump Family Edition | The Daily Show

A 14 time Emmy nominee and host of Be Less Stupid

The cornerstones of President Trumps campaign were promises to appeal Obamacare and ban Muslims from the US. It took Trump less than 70 days to fail on both promises.

And yet, despite his epic fails, lies and incompetence, Trumps base supports him like theyre spanx and hes Marie Osmond. What explains this loyalty? Science has the answer.

Have a look at this puzzle.

Which drawing best illustrates the correct mechanics and structure of a bicycle?

How you answer will help explain the loyalty of Trump voters. Ill explain in just a bit. But first

By any measure, much of the media and half the country think Donald Trump is the living embodiment of Montezumas Revenge which has got to make Trump mad, given his hatred of Mexicans. And yet, the other half thinks hes Jesus.

What I wanted to know is WTF!?

How can two people look at President Trump and have such polar opposite observations? To find out, I conducted an experiment. I set up a fake account and joined more than 50 pro-Trump groups. I created a meme that said: What do you like about President Trump, then I shared it.

I got more than a thousand responses in 24 hours and the things people wrote most is that they like Trump because hes not a politician hes a real American not corrupted by Washington, and beholden to no one.

The next most common response was that Trump believes in God.

I got nearly 700 responses.

So, why did so many people get the puzzle wrong?

Donald Trump’s Stiff Chant Of Uvalde Victims’ Names At Nra Rally Curdles Critics’ Blood

Former President Donald Trumps mangled recitation of the names of the 21 Uvalde, Texas, mass shooting victims at the National Rifle Associations convention on Friday made Twitter critics blood run cold.

The names of the 19 children and two teachers, broken up into hardly recognizable syllables in Trumps stumbling pronunciation, were interspersed with the funereal sound of a gong.

Despite the tragedy, Trump hailed the NRA in his speech at its convention in Houston and ended his remarks with his trademark clenched fists and cha-cha-cha dance move.

He blamed the horrific bloodshed at yet another American school on broken families and called efforts to curb gun violence grotesque.

Twitter users found the entire spectacle horrifying.

This is just gross. They have Trump trying to pronounce and read the names of the dead children while the NRA rings a bell. Disgusting.

Sign If You Agree: Donald Trump Is An Asshole

Donald Trump

As if the 2016 Republican presidential clown-car wasn’t crowded enough, real estate mogul and Birther fanatic Donald Trump is now a front-runner.

Donald Trump should never be elected dog-catcher, let alone President. And his campaign rhetoric has brought a really toxic element to the campaign season.

Trump Is An ‘asshole But He’s Our Asshole’ Says Gop Congressman

U.S. President Donald Trump is an “asshole” according to California Republican Congressman Duncan Hunter.

“He’s an asshole, but he’s our asshole,” Hunter said during a meetup of the Riverside County Young Republicans at a sports bar in the city of Murrieta near Anaheim last Friday.

“He’s just like he is on TV,” Hunter said, according to four people who were at the event who spoke with The San Diego Union-Tribune.

One of the attendees, Jose Guzman, told the Union-Tribune that Hunter’s assessment didn’t end there. Hunter continued by saying “all the stories you hear about , they’re true. Except the fake news.”

Hunter made the comments in response to a question posed by a woman in the audience who asked him and Republican Congressman Rep. Ken Calvert about what the president is like behind closed doors.

Hunter was speaking as Trump’s behavior faces criticism from Republicans and Democrats alike.

The same night as the Riverside County Young Republicans meeting, the president pardoned former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio who was found guilty of ignoring a court order to stop discriminating against immigrants in traffic stops.

Hunter’s assessment of Trump’s character, Sims said, was shocking because it cast the American leader as devoid of character.

Gop Wisconsin Senator Called Trump An ‘a**hole’ Admitted Biden Won In November Phone Call

Donald Trump, Harvey Weinstein and all: have we reached peak asshole ...

Senator Ron Johnson, a Wisconsin Republican and close ally of President Donald Trump, reportedly described the president as an “a**hole” and admitted President-elect Joe Biden won the election about three weeks ago, a former Wisconsin Republican official said.

Johnson has backed Trump’s unsubstantiated claims of widespread voter fraud, but according to Mark Beckera former Brown County supervisor and former chairman of the Republican Party therethe senator told him privately on a call three weeks ago that he accepted Biden’s victory.

“My discussion with Senator Ron Johnson was one that I have hesitated openly discussing for three weeks. As a former chairman for the Brown County Republican Party, I have people I respect deeply who are still members of the party,” Becker wrote in an article for conservative news site The Bulwark.

During that call, Becker said Johnson told him that “yes, Donald Trump is an asshole” but argued it would be “political suicide” for him to go against the president. Johnson reportedly told Becker that Trump had inspired significant voter turnout and that the views of those voters are important to consider.

“Senator Johnson said that he knew and accepted the fact that Joe Biden had won,” Becker wrote. “I asked why he wouldn’t say so at a moment when Trump was taking a sledgehammer to the very foundation of our democracy.

Descendents Take Dead Aim At Embattled Asshole Twitter Troll Donald Trump With A Furious That’s The Breaks

Long-windedness has never been a problem for Los Angeles punk pioneers the Descendents. Recall, if you will, the bands absolutely essential 1981 EP Fat, where My Dad Sucks was over in 38 seconds, I Like Food took only 17 seconds to say all it had to say, and Weinerschnitzel crashed and burnedgloriously soin 12 seconds. The Descendents made a fast-and-furious name for themselves writing the kind of songs that made the Ramones seem like Rush channelling Iron Butterfly.

The long-running punk group has kept the quality of its recorded output admirably high since returning from an extended hiatus in 2010. In an accomplishment no one saw coming, 2016s Hypercaffium Spazzinate bulldozed its way into the top 20 on the Billboard Charts.

But all thats old history. Were here today to talk about one of the smartest bands in the history of punk taking dead aim at one of the stupidest presidents in American history.

The past couple of months havent been good ones for President Donald J. Trump. Theres been the small issue of getting his ass handed to him in the U.S. Presidential Election.

Last week he discovered that when you tell lunatics dressed like drunk vikings and the cast of Duck Dynasty to attack the U.S. Capitol, theyll do exactly that. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and MySpace have since cancelled his social media accounts for spreading disinformation that encourages violence from the flaming fucking moron segment of society.

Dare to dream.

Poll: Americans Think Donald Trump Is A Horrible Disgusting Putinesque Ass

With less than three weeks to go, Donald Trump and Joe Biden are making their final case to Americans for why they should be elected. For Biden, this has involved pitching himself to voters as a competent, compassionate, steady hand who will strap on a hazmat suit and scrub the thick layer of Trump off the nation. For Trump, its involved telling voters to drop dead.

Strangely, this approach has not been working out so great for the 45th president. According to the latest NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll, the former vice president leads the incumbent by a whopping 11 points, 54% to 43%. Trump was able to win in 2016 with just 46% of voters casting a ballot in his favor because states key to the Electoral College backed him. But Biden is ahead in several crucial states, including Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, which helped Trump clinch the election four years ago. Not only has Biden maintained an advantage with Black, Latino, and women voterswhich might have something to do with the fact that Trump is a flaming racist and misogynistplus young voters, independents, and people who live in cities and suburbs, he is also leading the president with a heretofore unthinkable collection of individuals: white people.

For Trump, the word that stands out is incompetent, while for Biden it is honest.

Why Liberals Should Hope A Smarter Republican Beats Trump In The Presidential Primaries

Donald Trump is many things, but he is first and foremost a moron.

This doesn’t mean he isn’t other things as well malicious, cruel, greedy, self-obsessed, unusually adept at demagoguery. But above all else, he is an imbecile who led an administration dominated by imbeciles. If he manages to get himself elected president again in 2024, the executive branch of the government in the most powerful nation on Earth will once more be led by half-wits and dopes.

Do you doubt it? How quickly we forget!

The 2020 presidential election took place just over a year ago. It took three days for the results to become sufficiently clear for Joe Biden to be declared the winner. The day after that, Trump’s lawyer and adviser Rudy Giuliani called a press conference at the Four Seasons in Philadelphia to dispute those results. Only instead of the event taking place at the five-star hotel of that name in Center City, it was mistakenly booked at the Four Seasons Total Landscaping company in an outlying industrial part of the city. There he and a small number of staffers and Trump loyalists stood before the press, campaign signs taped to the wall of a garage door.

The good news: We passed!

The bad news: It could have been much, much worse and Trump shows every sign of wanting to continue the examination for another four years.

I’m sorry, but this is incredibly foolish.

Assholes: A Theory Of Donald Trump

Donald Trump says he’ll ‘kiss everyone’ as he claims Covid-19 immunity at Florida rally

Almost everyone now knows that Donald Trump is an asshole. Much to his credit, Aaron James pointed this out in Assholes: A Theory well before Trump took center stage in American politics. In his new book, James sets out to develop this idea in greater detail. According to the back cover, the book does not ask whether Trump is an asshole. This much is assumed. Instead, it raises the further question: What sort of asshole is Trump? As such, the book is presented as a contribution to what the author calls assholeology.

Readers will quickly learn that the book covers much more than this. Only the introduction and the first chapter are, properly speaking, exercises in assholeology. Even the first chapter, The Ass-Clown and Asshole, is more about offering a general theory of Trumps person than a strict examination of his assholery, and the final three chapters not only ask whether having an asshole like Trump for president is a sound proposition, they also point to the larger problem of what James calls asshole political capitalism.

How America Became A Country Full Of Assholes

Illustration by Elizabeth Brockway/The Daily Beast

The new documentary Assholes: A Theory examines the assholing of America, a nation ruled by the biggest asshole of them all: Donald J. Trump.

As U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens famously opined on Justified, You run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. You run into assholes all day, youre the asshole. Yet in a 2020 America on the precipice of a monumental presidential election, it seems that assholes are not only everywhere you turnin newspapers, on cable TV, at political rallies and protests, and all over social mediabut that they, and their behavior, has been normalized. Its this rising tide of assholery thats the focus of director John Walkers Assholes: A Theory, which adapts philosophy professor Aaron James 2012 non-fiction book into a documentary aimed at both precisely defining the term asshole, and investigating how those who fit that bill have increasingly come to dominate key spheres of modern public life.

The Worst President In History

Three particular failures secure Trumps status as the worst chief executive ever to hold the office.

About the author: Tim Naftali is a clinical associate professor of history at NYU. He was the first director of the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum.

President Donald Trump has long exulted in superlatives. The first. The best. The most. The greatest. No president has ever done what Ive done, he boasts. No president has ever even come close, he says. But as his four years in office draw to an end, theres only one title to which he can lay claim: Donald Trump is the worst president America has ever had.

In December 2019, he became the third president to be impeached. Last week, Trump entered a category all his own, becoming the first president to be impeached twice. But impeachment, which depends in part on the makeup of Congress, is not the most objective standard. What does being the worst president actually mean? And is there even any value, at the bitter end of a bad presidency, in spending energy on judging a pageant of failed presidencies?

For decades in the 20th century, many historians agreed that the title Trump has recently earned properly belonged to Warren G. Harding, a president they remembered. The journalist H. L. Mencken, master of the acidic bon mot, listened to Hardings inaugural address and despaired. No other such complete and dreadful nitwit is to be found in the pages of American history, he wrote.

And then theres Richard Nixon.
