But one home in the Euclid St. Pauls neighborhood has cranked it up a notch with support for President Donald Trump displayed in bright white letters, 20 feet wide.
The neighborhood is in a precinct that voted overwhelmingly for Hillary Clinton in 2016, and is currently dominated by yard signs for Democratic candidate Joe Biden. One neighbor across the street displays a sign with a row of Black power fists in rainbow colors. Another has posted in their window that, in this house, we believe, Black lives matter, womens rights are human rights and science is real.
But the Trump sign, lonely as it may be, is by far the largest on the block, and perhaps in the city.
Oh really, I hadnt noticed, next door neighbor Maggie Hamilton joked sarcastically when a reporter informed her that the neighbors had painted the presidents name directly on their shingles.
Her husband, Kirk Hamilton, said hed taken a picture as the sign was being painted. It only read rump at that point, but the photo still made a splash with his friends on Facebook.

About a month before the election, Curtis Woodall logged on to Amazon and ordered an American flag. The 72-year-old Vietnam War veteran and retired infantry soldier had taken down his old flag about a year into the Trump administration. It hurt. It did, Woodall said. But he didnt want anyone in his neighborhood outside Columbia, South Carolina, to associate him with President Donald Trumps racial rhetoric or anti-immigrant policies. He grew angry when he saw American flags on pickup trucks around town. Theyve always got a Trump flag and the American flag, he said. And I said, Thats bull. That is desecrating the flag that I served over 20 years with.
Now, at last, it looked like Trump might lose, so Woodall set his new flag on the dining room table and waited. When the election was called for Joe Biden, I said, Time for my flag to go up, Woodall told me by phone, a couple of weeks later. He sent me a photo of the flag, still hanging beside his garage, his own Dodge Ram pickup in the foreground.

BAY TOWNSHIP Politically inspired yard signs are nothing new, but one local Bay Township resident took it a step further by turning his entire front lawn into a massive banner showing his support for President Donald Trump.
It took J.R. Majewski about 120 gallons of biodegradable paint to create the 19,000-square-foot banner, which spans nearly the entire length of his long, triangular front yard in the 3000 block of West Elmore Road in Bay Township, just west of Port Clinton near the Portage River.
The effort was not an entirely new experience for Majewski, who around the same time last year in early July painted a huge American flag in his yard as both a patriotic gesture and a way to support his fellow military veterans.
But this year, he went even bigger.
Originally, Majewski said he had planned to paint the well-known National League of Families POW/MIA flag, but later found that there could be issues with the amount of black paint needed for the project.
Majewski uses a biodegradable, chalk-based paint that will not harm the environment.
After speaking with other members of a local veterans group he is a part of, many of which are also Trump supporters, Majewski said he decided to go for it.
You see and hear a lot from the president on his support of the military. New weapons, new equipment, new technology all of those things matter, he said. I think as a veteran, its highly appreciated.

A President Donald Trump sign sits in a yard Nov. 11, 2020 – a week after the election – in Terre Haute, Ind.
I live in a quiet Missouri City neighborhood at the end of a cul-de-sac where I may be the youngest person on the block, and Im not young at all.
In my daily walks, the Texan in me has me half-heartedly waving at every car that passes and politely delivering a Hows it going? to anyone sitting on their porch.
That includes the three houses that have me itching to throw in a little something extra post-pleasantries.
Were now three-plus weeks past Election Day, and those three houses still have Donald Trump signs or flags or both in their yard.
Im primarily a sportswriter. I completely understand irrational fandom.
Theres a guy a few houses down from me who faithfully hangs a Georgia Tech flag from the front of his house every college football season. Last month, his Georgia Tech Yellowjackets lost a game to Clemson 73-7. My neighbor didnt waver, and neither did his flag. Hes a Georgia Tech Man, Clemson be damned.
And Im guessing the same goes for my Trump supporter neighbors.
Their guy lost, but theyre going to Tammy Wynette it for as long as they can.
Now, the elections over and nearly all of those people, except for those three houses, have ditched the political signs and started decorating for Christmas. The relatively few Biden-sign owners have done the same.

Someone Risked Electrocution To Hang A ‘trump 2020’ Sign From Power Lines In Massachusetts
An individual risked electrocution in order to hang a sign supporting President Donald Trump across a street in Wilmington, Massachusetts, police said Friday.
The “Trump 2020” sign was attached to live electrical wires hanging above Main Street, according to the Wilmington Police Department. Police said in posts on Facebook and Twitter that officers did not know who was responsible for the sign, but encouraged the individual to come forward.
“Not only did they run the risk of electrocution, but the low hanging sign caused a hazard to passing motorists,” police said in the posts.

Police said they discovered the sign early Friday morning. Photos of the sign posted on the department’s social media pages appeared to show a pre-dawn Main Street with bold letters and numbers spelling out “Trump 2020” pulling the electrical wires down closer to the street. Part of the sign nearly touched the top of the police vehicle also seen parked beneath the sign in the photos.
Newsweek reached out to the Wilmington Police Department for comment, but did not receive a response in time for publication.

Virginia Election Proves Voters Are Sick Of Hearing About Donald Trump
When Drew and Marlene Proctor left their Jersey Shore, Pa., home to take their three-week trip across the back roads of the country for their honeymoon, they relished different sightings all along their journey.
But one thing remained constant no matter what state, city, town or village they passed through, Drew said, and that was the amount of Trump signs we saw everywhere.
And I mean everywhere, he added for emphasis. They were in wealthy suburban neighborhoods, blue-collar middle-class towns. You would see them in farm fields and painted on the sides of businesses. Most of them were either large flags, although plenty of them were hand-painted homemade signs too.
In total, the couple traveled through 12 states and logged more than 5,000 miles on their sojourn. I spoke with both Proctors last month as they sat outside a diner, enjoying a burger near Mt. Rushmore in Keystone, SD. As if on cue, a motorcyclist drove by with a Trump flag billowing out the back.
Drew, 47, said people who didnt vote for Trump and regularly fly over these states might be surprised or even shocked by the show of support for the former president who lost to Joe Biden last fall.
Worse, he said, they might mistake the display as cultish.
Those assumptions would be wrong, said Drew, who is a service manager for a European industrial machining company.
Trump was the consequence of peoples sentiments, he was not the cause.

The “Trump Cards,” which come in gold and red, have a credit card design emblazoned with the 45th president’s signature.
According to Business Insider, the mass email was sent out to Trump supporters on August 4 and read: “The card you select will be carried by Patriots all around the Country.
“They will be a sign of your dedicated support to our movement to SAVE AMERICA, and I’m putting my full trust in you,” Trump wrote in the first email.
The Trump team sent a follow-up email later that night, which read: “We’re about to launch our Official Trump Cards, which will be reserved for President Trump’s STRONGEST supporters.”
“We recently met with the President in his Florida office and showed him four designs,” the email continued.
“Originally we were planning on releasing just one design, but when President Trump saw the cards on his desk, he said, ‘These are BEAUTIFUL. We should let the American People decide – they ALWAYS know best!'”
