Whether Trump will focus on 2020, 2022 or 2024 at his rallies. Trump has continued to baselessly discount the results of the 2020 election, announcing in a statement earlier this month he plans to refer to the election as the Big Lie. During his CPAC speech in February, he mostly focused on criticizing President Joe Biden, while teasing a 2024 run. Its not clear whether Trump, during these upcoming rallies, will look to help drum up support for Republicans running for office in 2022, or continue to harp on red-meat issues like the 2020 election.

Less than one week after Donald Trumps grudgefest in Georgia was rejected by Republican voters, the former president traveled to Casper, Wyoming as he seeks to oust Rep. Liz Cheney for objecting to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
The rally was attended by Reps. Andy Biggs , Lauren Boebert , Kat Cammack , and Matt Gaetz .
House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy did not attend, but sent a video message that was booed by Trumps MAGA base.
Bryan Schott, a reporter for the Salt Lake Tribune, posted a picture from the arena 30 minutes before the program was scheduled to begin.

Olivia Nuzzi, Washington correspondent for New York Magazine, posted multiple photos showing empty seats after the time Trump was scheduled to appear.

As Bryan Schott noted later, the stadium filled when Trump finally spoke.
Report: Donald Trump To Hold Two Rallies In June And One July 3
Former President Donald Trump will reportedly hold at least two rallies in June and one on July 3.
The president is anxious to get back out on the trail and we are getting a lot of offers and invitations from both candidates and political causes in different areas, an adviser of Trumps told the Daily Mail.
The rallies will reportedly take the form of the airport rallies that dominated the closing months of last years election campaign.
The return of rallies come after the House Republicans ousted Rep. Liz Cheney from her leadership position as conference chair Wednesday with a replacement reportedly being decided Friday.
Just before the vote, Trump issued a statement urging the Republicans to exchange warmonger Cheney for the gifted Rep. Elise Stefanik in the potential upcoming vote for House Republican Conference chair on Friday.
Liz Cheney is a warmonger. Her continual forever war advocacy is out of step with the Republican base.

Trump Announces Anchorage Rally For Dunleavy Palin And Tshibaka
Former President Donald Trump is coming to Anchorage to campaign for three Republican candidates running for statewide office.
The visit was announced in a statement Wednesday from Save America, a political action group founded by Trump after his loss in the 2020 election.
The group says Trump will hold a rally Saturday, July 9, at the Alaska Airlines Center in Anchorage. Hell be speaking in support of Gov. Mike Dunleavy, whos running for reelection, as well as U.S. House candidate Sarah Palin and U.S. Senate candidate Kelly Tshibaka.
Dunleavy faces several opponents in his bid for reelection, including Democrat Les Gara and independent former Gov. Bill Walker. Two other prominent Republicans running against Dunleavy are Kenai Peninsula Borough Mayor Charlie Pierce and Wasilla state Rep. Christopher Kurka.
Palin is running against Republican Nick Begich and Democrat Mary Peltola in the special election to fill the remainder of late Congressman Don Youngs term. Palin was an early supporter of Trumps during his bid for the White House and has continued to support him.
I was honored to receive President Trumps endorsement early on in this race, and Im excited to welcome him to the great state of Alaska, Palin said in a statement released soon after Trumps rally was announced.
Tickets to the rally are free. Trump is set to deliver remarks at 4 p.m.

Texas lawmakers passed a law last year limiting how race and current events are discussed in public schools. Trump also said teachers shouldnt be allowed to teach transgender. Florida lawmakers passed a bill this year that critics dubbed Dont Say Gay for its restrictions on teaching about sexual orientation and gender identity. Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said he wanted to prioritize similar legislation in Texas next year.

In our occasional look at the possible running mates that Joe Biden might pick, today we focus on former Obama national security adviser Susan Rice.
Strengths: Shes a woman of color with an extensive resume and deep connections to the foreign policy community. While never elected to public office, her experience working in the White House on global issues may check a ready on Day One box.
Weaknesses: A native of Washington D.C., she wouldnt offer geographical diversity and may be more vulnerable to perceptions that shes a D.C. insider. Rices primary policy strength, foreign policy, would likely overlap rather than complement Bidens sense of his own strengths and weaknesses. And shes never held or previously run for any elected office.
Other potential oppo hits: Rice withdrew from consideration to succeed Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State in 2012, citing the difficulty of the confirmation process in the wake of the Benghazi controversy. Republicans have also recently re-targeted Rice over her disclosure that she requested the internal unmasking of senior Trump officials including Michael Flynn during the presidential transition in order to better understand why the crown prince of the United Arab Emirates was in New York in 2016.

The disagreements within the Democratic Party look marginal when compared to a former president’s openly fanning his supporters’ most extreme conspiracy theories. And however frustrating Democratic policy fights feel to progressive activists who have so far failed to pass a $15-an-hour minimum wage or abolish the Senate filibuster, or however worrisome they are for moderates who think President Joe Biden is going too far left with his massive spending plans, they provide none of the over-the-top invective Washington journalists grew addicted to over four years of Trump rallies. Trump’s rhetoric will bury any coverage of Democratic disharmony.
Indeed, Trump’s return to the political stage gives Democrats a rare opportunity to set aside the disagreements that come from governing just as Biden’s honeymoon period is ending. Despite growing impatience among progressives at the obstructionist tactics displayed by Democratic Sens. Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona and Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Trump’s summer tour will be a bracing reminder that things could be far worse.

While Trump won Florida, Ohio and North Carolina in both the 2016 and 2020 elections, last year he became the first Republican candidate to lose Georgia in a presidential election since George H.W. Bush in 1992.
The former president has since cast aspersions on the conduct of Georgia election officials, including Republican secretary of state Brad Raffensperger, over his defeat and insisted without evidence that the loss was the result of voter fraud. Republicans went on to lose both of Georgias US Senate seats in a pair of special elections in January, handing Democrats full control of Congress and the White House.
Trump again refused to confirm Thursday whether he would run for president in 2024, saying only: Im gonna make a decision at the right time and Ill let you know.
