Trumps Cabinet Weighed Removing Him After Jan 6

Trump Ramps Up Rally Schedule | 11th Hour

Members of the presidents Cabinet were distressed enough by the assault on the Capitol and the presidents encouragement of the mob and refusal to intervene that they quietly discussed invoking the 25th Amendment to remove him from office, Ms. Hutchinson testified. The ignominious prospect of being the first president to be subject to the amendment was one of the reasons he agreed to record a video on Jan. 7 committing to a peaceful transfer of power.

What We Know And Dont Know About What Trump Did On Jan 6

As the committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection weighs how much responsibility President Donald Trump holds for that violence, members have said that finding out what Trump did or didnt do that day is one of their top priorities.

Based on whats been publicly reported, there are substantial chunks of Trumps day that we dont know about especially what he did during the 187 minutes of the attack before he released a video telling protesters, Go home. I love you, youre special. We know Trump was working the phones all day, but official White House call logs go dark around the time protesters storm the Capitol and start back up again after its secured by the military.

Several new details emerged Tuesday afternoon when Cassidy Hutchinson, a former top White House aide, testified before the committee and shared what she saw and heard that day. She testified that Trump knew the protesters who gathered in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021, had weapons and he encouraged them to go to the U.S. Capitol anyway. Her testimony raised even more questions about what Trump knew about the attack.

Here is what we know about Trumps actions on Jan. 6, and the major questions that still remain.

Trump To Rally For Palin Dunleavy Tshibaka In Alaska

A statement from a Trump political action committee said the event will take place July 9 in Anchorage. It says Trump will deliver remarks in support of Palin, Gov. Mike Dunleavy and Kelly Tshibaka, a Republican running for U.S. Senate in a race with incumbent Republican Lisa Murkowski.

Trump late last year said Dunleavy had his complete and total endorsement, but that was subject to Dunleavy not endorsing Murkowski. Murkowski has been critical of Trump and voted to convict him at his impeachment trial last year. Trump was acquitted of the sole charge of incitement of insurrection related to the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Tshibaka, in a statement, said: It will be a great honor to welcome President Trump to Alaska for what will be the greatest attended political event in our states history.

Alaskas elections are occurring under a system approved by voters that ends party primaries and institutes ranked voting in general elections. Under the system, the top four finishers in the Aug. 16 primary, regardless of party affiliation, are to advance to the November general election, where ranked voting will be used.

Palin also is running in the regular U.S. House primary.

Palin, an early Trump supporter, said she was honored to get Trumps endorsement early on in this race, and Im excited to welcome him to the great state of Alaska.

The Murkowski campaign declined comment on the event, Murkowski campaign spokesperson Shea Siegert said.

Trump declares

Trump had better luck with his next Alabama endorsement in 2020, as former Auburn University football coach Tommy Tuberville defeated the out-of-favor Sessions in a primary runoff before unseating Jones.

The former president has also endorsed firebrand Rep. Mo Brooks in next years Senate GOP primary to replace the retiring Richard Shelby.

Trump returned to the rally circuit this summer with events in Ohio and Florida, stoking speculation about a possible run to regain the White House in 2024.

AL.com reported last month that Trump was to hold a July 4 weekend rally at the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile. However, that plan fell through when members of the commission that oversees the park expressed concerns about the legality of hosting an event that could be considered partisan.

Trump eventually went ahead with a July 3 rally in Sarasota, Fla.

Unlike previous rallies, the Michigan rally will be focused on state-level endorsements Trump has made. Specifically, two candidates in the GOP field for Attorney General and Secretary of State:

Former President Donald Trump announced Friday he plans to hold a rally in suburban Detroit on April 2 to support candidates he has endorsed in Michigans elections this year.

Trump is backing Matthew DePerno in the race for attorney general and Kristina Karamo for secretary of state. Both are in competitive races for GOP nominations on April 23 when Republican delegates will endorse nominees at a state convention in Grand Rapids.

The event will mark Trumps first visit to Michigan since the night before the November 2020 presidential election.

Trump Coming To Anchorage For Rally Supporting Palin Tshibaka And Dunleavy

Then-Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump with former Republican vice presidential candidate and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin during a campaign event in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in 2016.

Former President Donald Trump will hold a rally in Anchorage on July 9 to campaign for U.S. House candidate Sarah Palin, U.S. Senate candidate Kelly Tshibaka and Gov. Mike Dunleavy, who is running for reelection, according to a statement from Trumps political organization.

Trump previously endorsed Palin, Tshibaka and Dunleavy, who are all running against other Republicans in their respective races.

The rally will take place July 9 at the Alaska Airlines Center on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus. This will be the former presidents first rally in Alaska.

Palin, the former governor and vice presidential candidate, is making her return to Alaska politics after quitting as governor in 2009. She is running in the special U.S. House race to replace former U.S. Rep Don Young, who died in March. She will face fellow Republican Nick Begich and Democrat Mary Peltola in the special general election on Aug. 16. Trump endorsed Palin just a day after she entered the U.S. House race.

The race is the first under Alaskas new election laws which implemented ranked choice voting and open primaries, allowing for more than one member of every party to run in a general election. The laws will also apply to the U.S. Senate and gubernatorial races.

Trump Has A Major Rally Planned In A Key Election State

Sebastian Hughes on April 14, 2022

Former President Donald Trump will travel to Ohio to hold a rally amid a contentious GOP primary to be the states next senator.

Trumps Save America PAC announced the rally would take place on April 23, though the attendees of the event have yet to be disclosed. The candidates are competing to fill the vacant seat left by retiring Republican Sen. Rob Portman.

Numerous candidates have attempted to secure Trumps endorsement, including former state treasurer Josh Mandel, businessman Mike Gibbons and former Ohio GOP Chair Jane Timken. Trump is reportedly planning on endorsing venture capitalist and author J.D. Vance, according to three sources who allegedly spoke with NBC News.

Associates of Trump reportedly said the former president has concerns about all of the candidates running for the nomination and might not endorse anyone, The Columbus Dispatch reported. Despite the spending of millions of dollars on the race, no clear frontrunner has emerged.

Gibbons led Mandel by two points in a Fox News poll released in March, with no candidate securing more than 22% of the vote. A February poll from The Hill and Emerson College gave Gibbons a seven point lead.

So well have to kind of see if that works out, DeWine said, The Cincinnati Enquirer reported.

At Trump Rally For Miller Illinois Republicans Tout Ending Roe

Trump holds rally in Fargo, ND, live stream
  • Jason Rosenbaum, Brian Munoz

MENDON, Ill. Former President Donald Trump spent part of a rally Saturday night for Illinois Republican Congresswoman Mary Miller praising the U.S. Supreme Court for overturning Roe v. Wade.

Your boundless love, sacrifice and devotion has finally been rewarded in full, Trump said at the rally near Quincy attended by several thousand. As a candidate in 2016 I promised to nominate judges and justices who would stand up for the original meaning of the Constitution and who would honestly and faithfully interpret the law as written.

Later, Miller joined Trump onstage and said: On behalf of all the MAGA patriots of America, I want to thank you for the historic victory for white life in the Supreme Court yesterday.

That comment went viral on social media, with people accusing her of racism, and was widely covered nationally in the news media. Miller campaign spokesman Isiah Wartman said she meant to say right to life.

To suggest that she is somehow not committed to defending all life is disgusting, Wartman said. She has the most pro-life voting record in Congress and is the proud grandmother of two beautiful grandchildren with Down syndrome. The fake news media is targeting Mary Miller because she is doing everything she can to stop the Democrats from allowing the massacre of babies like her grandchildren.

Trump To Hold Rally In Illinois As Gop Lawmakers Face Off In New District

Former President Donald Trump will headline a rally in central Illinois next weekend to help drum up support for his candidate in a GOP House race where two incumbent Republicans are locked in a showdown, thanks to redistricting.

Ahead of June 28’s primary, Trump’s “Save America” rally is scheduled for June 25 at the Adams County Fairgrounds in Mendon, Illinois. Parking will be available starting at 8 a.m., with doors opening and the entertainment beginning at 2 p.m. Speakers will begin taking the stage at 4 p.m., and Trump will deliver his remarks at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available on Trump’s official website, but only two tickets can be reserved per mobile phone number. The event will be livestreamed on Right Side Broadcasting Network’s YouTube channel.

Trump has endorsed freshman Representative Mary Miller in one of six rare incumbent-versus-incumbent House races this year. The Illinois congresswoman is facing off against Representative Rodney Davis after they were both placed in the 15th Congressional District that was newly created by Democratic state lawmakers.

The two incumbents had battled for Trump’s support. Miller centered her campaign on her allegiance to the former president. For his part, Davis, who served as the co-chair of Trump’s 2020 Illinois campaign, said, “I’m proud of my conservative record of working with Trump when he was in office, and I won’t shy away from it.”
