Pm: Stolen Election Vaccine Hoax And Maga: Trump Merch Overruns Downtown Phoenix
Countless red Make America Great Again hats bobbed up and down in a sea of bodies as the line of supporters hoping to get in wrapped around the building.
The crowd displayed shirts, signs and flags denouncing a stolen election and vaccine hoax that have become conservative talking points since Biden took office.
About 15 to 20 vendors of pro-Trump merchandise were in the area hoping to make a sale.
John Williams drove 31 hours from North Carolina to sell Trump merchandise, including shirts, hats and flags outside of the rally. He said today was pretty slow for his table near the end of the line, with most people already having their Trump gear in hand.
Closer to the entrance, Franklin Hughes was having better success selling his inventory. Hughes has been working Trump events since 2016 and has traveled to 48 states in the last year selling his merchandise, he said.
Since the election, his business has slowed, but sales are picking back up, Hughes said.

Donald Trump Will Appear At The Sarasota Fairgrounds On July 3
Former President Donald Trump is scheduled to hold one of his first post-presidential rallies in Sarasota over the holiday weekend.
According to Trumps website, he will speak at the Sarasota Fairgrounds on July 3 at 8 p.m.
Its his first major rally in Florida since he lost in November to Joe Biden. Trump won the state by just over 3%.
The outdoor rally, which will start at 2 p.m., will also be a fundraising opportunity for the state Republican Party.
Anyone interested in attending can register for up to two tickets per mobile number.
Trump, who may run for president again in 2024, is scheduled to speak Saturday in the Cleveland, Ohio, area.
Commuters around Sarasota can expect significant travel delays during the event.
Several roads near the Fairgrounds will be closed early Saturday morning, and will reopen once the event is complete.
Police are asking motorists who are not attending the rally to avoid the area.
Trump To Headline Call
RICHMOND Donald Trump will headline an election-eve tele-rally Monday night for Virginia gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin and other Republicans, according to a Trump ally leading a bus tour meant to whip up support for a ticket thats run hot and cold on the 45th president.
They need us to win, and thats why were doing this teleconference, said John Fredericks, a talk radio host and Trumps former Virginia chairman, who two weeks ago arranged for the former president to phone in to a GOP rally in suburban Richmond.
It was not clear that Youngkin wants Trump, who lost Virginia by 10 points last year, to further inject himself into the race a neck-and-neck battle with Democrat Terry McAuliffe, a former governor who has been raising money off the prospect of a Trump-led rally.
Youngkins campaign did not respond to requests for comment on the plan Fredericks described. Earlier in the week, when both Trump and his spokesman Taylor Budowich separately teased that former president might travel to Virginia to stump for Youngkin in person, Youngkins spokesman declined to comment.
Fredericks said it would be an enormous teleconference, with Trump on the line along with thousands and thousands of his Virginia supporters.
Josh Dawsey contributed to this report.

Trumps Bid To Subvert The Election
A monthslong campaign.During his last days in office, President Donald J. Trump and his allies undertook an increasingly urgent effort to undermine the election results. That wide-ranging campaign included perpetuating false and thoroughly debunked claims of election fraud as well as pressing government officials for help.
Baseless claims of voter fraud.Although Mr. Trumps allegations of a stolen election have died in the courts and election officials of both parties from every state have said there is no evidence of fraud, Republicans across the country continued to spread conspiracy theories. Those include 147 House Republicans who voted against certifying the election.
Intervention at the Justice Department.Rebuffed by ranking Republicans and cabinet officials like Attorney General William P. Barr, who stepped down weeks before his tenure was to end, Mr. Trump sought other avenues to peddle his unfounded claims. In a bid to advance his personal agenda, Mr. Trump plotted to oust the acting attorney general and pressed top officials to declare that the election was corrupt. His chief of staff pushed the department to investigate an array of outlandish and unfounded conspiracy theories that held that Mr. Trump had been the victor.
One of the most concerned is Senator Mitch McConnell, the minority leader.

Trump had better luck with his next Alabama endorsement in 2020, as former Auburn University football coach Tommy Tuberville defeated the out-of-favor Sessions in a primary runoff before unseating Jones.
The former president has also endorsed firebrand Rep. Mo Brooks in next years Senate GOP primary to replace the retiring Richard Shelby.
Trump returned to the rally circuit this summer with events in Ohio and Florida, stoking speculation about a possible run to regain the White House in 2024.
AL.com reported last month that Trump was to hold a July 4 weekend rally at the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile. However, that plan fell through when members of the commission that oversees the park expressed concerns about the legality of hosting an event that could be considered partisan.

What Does Lets Go Brandon Mean And Where Did It Come From
Gov. DeSantis explains origins of Lets go, Brandon
Speaking in West Palm on Wednesday, Nov. 3, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis refers to the Biden Administration as the Brandon Administration. As the crowd chants Lets go, Brandon, the governor explains his version of the origins of the phrase.
When Republican Rep. Bill Posey of Florida ended an Oct. 21 House floor speech with a fist pump and the phrase Lets go, Brandon! it may have seemed cryptic and weird to many who were listening. But the phrase was already growing in right-wing circles, and now the seemingly upbeat sentiment actually a stand-in for swearing at Joe Biden is everywhere.
South Carolina Republican Jeff Duncan wore a Lets Go Brandon face mask at the Capitol last month. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz posed with a Lets Go Brandon sign at the World Series. Sen. Mitch McConnells press secretary retweeted a photo of the phrase on a construction sign in Virginia.
The line has become conservative code for something far more vulgar: F Joe Biden. Its all the rage among Republicans wanting to prove their conservative credentials, a not-so-secret handshake that signals theyre in sync with the partys base.
Americans are accustomed to their leaders being publicly jeered, and former President Donald Trumps often-coarse language seemed to expand the boundaries of what counts as normal political speech.

The Return Of The Trump Rally
Former President Donald Trump has started a series of summertime campaign-style rallies. Now that hes out of office, what does Trump hope to gain?
What will these rallies look like?
If the first one is any indication, they will be familiar scenes. In a 90-minute speech to North Carolina Republicans at their annual convention at the end of May, Trump repeated his claim that the 2020 election was stolen from him, calling it the crime of the century. Trump said the 2020 vote was like a third-world election, even though his allegations have been rejected as false by numerous courts and Republican election officials in every red state he lost.
Did he talk about anything else?
Yes, the former president threw plenty of red meat to his base during his North Carolina appearance. He occasionally made nostalgic remarks about his four years in the White House, but spent much of his time criticizing his successor, President Biden. The Biden administration is pushing toxic critical race theory into our nations schools, Trump said. Joe Biden and the socialist Democrats are the most radical Democrats in our nations history. Trump hit on many of the themes from his 2020 Make America Great rallies, including his complaints about China, the media, and Big Tech companies, as well as the restrictions imposed to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
What does Trump have to gain from these rallies?
Why is that so important?

What We Dont Know
Whether Trump will focus on 2020, 2022 or 2024 at his rallies. Trump has continued to baselessly discount the results of the 2020 election, announcing in a statement earlier this month he plans to refer to the election as the Big Lie. During his CPAC speech in February, he mostly focused on criticizing President Joe Biden, while teasing a 2024 run. Its not clear whether Trump, during these upcoming rallies, will look to help drum up support for Republicans running for office in 2022, or continue to harp on red-meat issues like the 2020 election.

Trump Seeking To Maintain Gop Sway Holds First Rally Since Jan 6
The former presidents speech in Ohio, made on behalf of a challenger to a Republican congressman who voted to impeach Mr. Trump, reflected both his power over the party and his diminished status.

WELLINGTON, Ohio Former President Donald J. Trump returned to the rally stage on Saturday evening after a nearly six-month absence, his first large public gathering since his Save America event on Jan. 6 that resulted in a deadly riot at the Capitol.
On Saturday, the same words Save America appeared behind Mr. Trump as he addressed a crowd of several thousand at a county fairgrounds in Wellington, Ohio, about 35 miles southwest of Cleveland.
He repeated familiar falsehoods about fraudulent 2020 votes. He attacked Republican officials for refusing to back his effort to overturn the election results including Representative Anthony E. Gonzalez of Ohio, who voted to impeach Mr. Trump, and whose primary challenger, Max Miller, was the reason for Mr. Trumps visit. The former president praised Mr. Miller as they appeared onstage together.
Mr. Trump remains the most powerful figure in the Republican Party, with large numbers of G.O.P. lawmakers parroting his lies about a stolen 2020 election and fearful of crossing him, and many in the party waiting to see whether he will run again for the White House in 2024.
Do you miss me? Mr. Trump asked in one of his biggest applause lines. They miss me, he declared.
