What Is The Latest News On Donald Trump

Nothing But The Truth

Former US President Donald Trump repeats claims of foul play during 2020 election |Latest News |WION

The unfounded notion that Democrats stole the presidency from the Republicans in 2020 should take pride of place on the billionaire’s new platform

It should attract many supporters, some of which are convinced there was electoral fraud during the 2020 US election. It is on this base of supporters that the former president is counting to launch a possible new campaign in 2024, with a view to a return to the White House. To date, Donald Trump has only outlined his intentions, without ever confirming them.

But thats not the only purpose for TRUTH. After conducting a business plan overview and sharing it openly, TMTG aims at offering videos on demand, and consequently become a direct competitor to Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime.

The British news site The Guardian analysed TMTGs ambitions by paying attention not only to the graphic skills, but also the lack of logic behind the slides.

Their current approach to quantifying the media companys potential audience seems to be more art than science, The Guardian wrote.

In one slide they look at how many people listen to podcasts and watch Netflix from there they extrapolate that TMTG can get potentially hundreds of millions of users.

As for the economic plan, TMTG is to merge with Digital World Acquisition Corp in order to be listed, the statement said.

DWAC is listed on the Nasdaq index and, according to the release, Donald Trump’s new group would be valued at $875 million .

Dc Attorney General Incitement Investigation For Attack On Us Capitol

Prosecuting Office: DC Attorney General

Case Summary: DC Attorney General Karl Racine has said he is exploring whether to charge Trump with incitement. So far, his office has focused on a DC statute that makes it a misdemeanor to incite or provoke violence where there is a likelihood that such violence will ensue. Presumably, DC prosecutors are looking into Trumps statements and tweets before and during the riot, gauging whether they amount to criminal incitement.

That said, Racine has cautioned that prosecuting Trump would be an uphill battle. Though the former president no longer could claim presidential immunity, the First Amendment may still shield his speech from prosecution. Under Brandenburgthe controlling case herea speaker can be prosecuted for incitement only when their speech is both intended and likely to cause imminent lawless action. This is a notoriously difficult standard to meet, especially on the intent side. Even though some rioters haveclaimed they were following Trumps instructions, Racine would need to actually prove it was Trumps actual goal for them to do so. Despite the trailofincriminatingstatements Trump left behind, Racine may still have trouble meeting such a high bar.

Case Status: Racines office is investigating Trumps conduct but has not filed charges.

Two super PACs have launched a nearly $1 million coordinated ad buy attacking Hillbilly Elegy author J.D. Vance in Ohio, aiming to tear him down for his previous opposition to Donald Trump.

Club for Growth Action and USA Freedom Fund, both of which back former state Treasurer Josh Mandel, are each spending $470,000 to make Republican primary voters aware of Vances harsh rhetoric toward the former president. Vance has publicly said he did not cast a vote for Trump in the 2016 election.

In a contentious Republican primary that hinges on loyalty to Trump, Mandel for months has been on the attack against Vance.

Vance has sought to dramatically reinvent himself as all in for Trump while embracing a Republican message of economic populism and allies of Mandel are on the offense to prevent Vance from closing the gap in the race to replace retiring GOP Sen. Rob Portman.

Im a Never Trump guy, Vance said in an interview with Charlie Rose in 2016, a clip used in both the new ads. I never liked him.

Both ads also feature a screenshot of a Vance tweet from October 2016. My god what an idiot, he wrote, referring to Trump.

Vance has said that he regrets his criticism of Trump.

John McCain , as abhorrent.

    Meghan McCain

I lost my mind, McCain said. And I called my dad and I said, I dont want to call him back. This is scary. I dont want to talk to him. And my dad said, You have to call him. Hes the president of the United States. Its not an option. You still respect the office.

McCain called Trump and they had a very bizarre conversation, she said.

Trump denied making fun of my dads war injuries and he didnt apologize, but he said, I didnt do this, this is fake news. Melania Trump joined the call and told McCain: We love you, we love your dad, she said. And I was like, You dont, but okay.

It could have been the one and only time the Trumps were aware of the damage the then-president had done to her family with his attacks, said McCain, who left The View in August and joined DailyMail.com as a columnist the following month.

Donald Trump is no longer one of Forbes’ 400 richest people in America

Prosecutors in New York, Georgia and Washington have inquiries that could yield further, serious charges against the ex-president

As a New York criminal investigation continues after bringing tax fraud charges against Donald Trumps business and a top executive, other prosecutors in Georgia, Washington DC and New York have inquiries under way that could also yield serious charges against Trump and his company, according to former prosecutors and public records.

For example, a Georgia district attorney is leading a wide ranging criminal probe into Trumps infamous call on 2 January to Georgias secretary of state beseeching him to find 11,780 votes to block Joe Bidens presidential election win there.

Meanwhile, separate prosecutors in New York and Washington DC are scrutinizing whether Trumps businesses benefited illegally during his 2017 inauguration. The Washington attorney general has sued the inaugural committee, the Trump International Hotel in DC and the Trump Organization alleging they schemed to make exorbitant and unlawful payments of over $1 million to Trumps DC hotel which hosted some inaugural events.

On yet another legal front, Trump is facing several civil lawsuits, including one from writer E Jean Carroll, whose 2019 memoir alleged Trump once raped her. After Trump accused her of lying to sell books, Carroll filed a defamation lawsuit.

    Thompson v. Trump, No. 21-cv-00400

Plaintiff: Rep. Karen R. Bass, Rep. Stephen I. Cohen, Rep. Veronica Escobar, Rep. Pramila Jayapal, Rep. Henry C. Johnson, Jr., Rep. Marcia C. Kaptur, Rep. Barbara J. Lee, Rep. Jerrold Nadler, Rep. Maxine Waters, and Rep. Bonnie M. Watson Coleman, represented by the NAACP

Case Summary: On Feb. 16, 2021, Mississippi Congressman Bennie Thompson sued former President Trump and Rudy Giuliani along with two right-wing militia groups known as the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers, for violating the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871, 42 U.S.C. § 1985. In the complaint, Thompson alleges that Trump violated the Ku Klux Klan Act by inciting the rioters with the intent to prevent Members of Congress from discharging their official duties of the timely approval of the Electoral College vote. He argues that after Trumps loss in the November 2020 election, the then-President set out on a campaign to mobilize his supporters, culminating in the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol. It portrays Trumps rhetoric on the morning of Jan. 6 as a call to arms and as intended to prevent the certification of the election.

The Act was passed in 1871 in response to violence and intimidation by the KKK intended to stop Black people from voting. The legislation allows Members of Congress to sue individuals who conspire to violently molest, interrupt, hinder, or impede the discharge of a public officials duties.

Plaintiffs: Jane Doe, Luke Loe, Mary Moe, Richard Roe

Case Summary: On Oct. 30, 2018, a class action lawsuit was filed against the Trump Corporation, Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Eric Trump. The complaint alleges that the defendants used their brand name to defraud thousands of working class individuals by promoting numerous businesses in exchange for secret payments. The companies include ACN Opportunity, LLC , the Trump Network, LLC , and Business Strategies Group, LLC . The lawsuit also claims that the defendants are liable for a pattern of racketeering activity violating the RICO Act as well as activity violating numerous state consumer protection laws concerning fair business practices and competition.

On July 24, 2019, the District Court judge partially granted the defendants motion to dismiss. The judge dismissed the RICO claims because the Complaint did not sufficiently plead that Defendants conduct was the proximate cause of Plaintiffs losses. However, she ruled that the other claims concerning the state laws will not be dismissed under Class Action Fairness Act .

Why Was Donald Trump Banned From Twitter And Facebook

    YouTube suspends Donald Trump

After polling day last November, Trump used his social media accounts to make baseless allegations that the presidential election had been tainted by fraud.

He repeatedly claimed that the election had been “stolen” from him, online and in a speech to a rally in Washington, D.C. on January 6. Hundreds of his supporters stormed the Capitol later that day and five people died in the violence. Some of those charged in connection with the riot have said they were incited by Trump.

On January 8, he was permanently blocked from Twitter “due to the risk of further incitement of violence.” He was also permanently banned from Snapchat and indefinitely suspended from , YouTube, Twitch and Facebook, the last of which will keep his profile deactivated for at least two years.

In July, the former president announced his intention to file a class-action lawsuit against the CEOs of Facebook, and Twitter, on the grounds of censorship.

Truth Social is not the first platform positioning itself as a “free speech” home for conservatives disenchanted withor banned fromthe mainstream social networks. Parler and Gab have tried to tap the same market, but with mixed results.

Although Trump is no longer allowed on Twitter, his son, Donald Trump Jr., is still active on the platform and is using it to promote Truth Social.
