A Trump Commerce Department official has been jailed for five-and-a-half years after pleading guilty to possession of child sexual abuse images.
Adam Hageman was arrested in November 2020 when Homeland Security agents executed a search warrant at Hagemans Washington home.

Ohio Republicans Get Shout Outs
Trump thanked a slate of Republicans for their work in Ohio, including Secretary of State Frank LaRose and auditor Keith Faber. He applauded LaRose specifically for his role in the states redistricting process.
He didnt acknowledge the candidates running for governor this year, but he made a reference to this terrible governor that you had when talking about former Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who ran against Trump in the 2016 GOP primary. Trump also praised Ohio Republican Party chair Bob Paduchik.

When Where Is The Next Donald Trump Rally Trump Maga Rallies Scheduled For Tennessee West Virginia
After a busy week including a speech before the United Nations and a scheduled meeting on Thursday with embattled Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, President Donald Trump will continue his Make America Great Again campaign schedule, with rallies in Tennessee and West Virginia.
Up first in the MAGA rally schedule is a stop in Wheeling, West Virginia, on Saturday, September 29, and a second in Johnson City, Tennessee, on Monday, October 1. Trump had promised to return to West Virginia before the November 6 general election, when he was last in the state in August. Campaign officials said Trump will be “celebrating the growing success of the Trump economy, and encouraging West Virginians to get out and vote for Patrick Morrisey for the U.S. Senate.”
Trump’s Wheeling rally will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. local time at Wesbanco Arena. The rally could bring supporters from “Ohio and Pennsylvania and draw coverage from the Pittsburgh media,” according to the West Virginia Metro News. Tickets are available on a limited, first come, first served basis on Trump’s MAGA site.
On Monday, President Trump is scheduled to visit Johnson City, Tennessee, for a rally in the Tri-Cities area. His Tennessee visit arrives six weeks before the midterm elections, which include an important race in Tennessee for the U.S. Senate between Republican Marsha Blackburn and Democrat Phil Bredesen.

Former President Donald Trump used his 93-minute remarks at his rally in Florence to give a fresh blistering to his usual foils President Joe Biden, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey and the media to the resounding support of the thousands of diehard supporters at Canyon Moon Ranch.
Trump also renewed his grievances and cast his four years in office as a period of unprecedented prosperity and security.
Early in his remarks, which ended at 8:51 p.m., Trump cast Bidens administration as an unfolding disaster and continued his baseless claims of widespread election fraud in 2020.
Biden has utterly humiliated our nation, Trump said, saying that Russia and Chinas leaders no longer respect or fear America.
Trump said the past year under Biden has been a disaster but said there would be a good political end to the catastrophe at the outset of the new year.
The speech was an updated version of Trumps usual America-first rhetoric, long on personal boasts and lacking in subtlety.
The country is being destroyed, he said, after citing rising inflation and the nations disastrous retreat from Afghanistan. Our country is being totally destroyed.
Trump called the COVID-19 response under Biden a disaster, from vaccine mandates to testing shortages.
Im proud I was the anti-mandate president, Trump said. We gave Biden every tool he could want. Hes incapable.

Trump To Hold April Rally In Michigan
Former President Trump is set to hold a rally in Michigan next month, traveling to a state that is at the center of his unfounded claims of election fraud in the 2020 election.
Trumps leadership PAC announced Friday that hell hold the rally in Washington Township on April 2. Hell give remarks in support of Matthew DePerno and Kristina Karamo, his endorsed candidates for Michigan attorney general and secretary of state, respectively.
Michigan has emerged as a top swing state in recent cycles, handing Trump a narrow victory in 2016 and a loss by about 3 percentage points in 2020.
Trump has repeatedly said that voter fraud robbed him of a victory in the Wolverine State two years ago and has called for further examination into the results despite his loss being confirmed by an audit.
Both DePerno and Karamo are trying to flip offices held by Democrats and have spread conspiracy theories about the 2020 race.
Michigan is hosting a competitive gubernatorial race this year, as well as several other contests down the ballot.
Trump has not yet issued an endorsement in the gubernatorial race but has been a vocal critic of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer , who is running for reelection.
The rally next month will mark the latest in a spree of appearances for Trump, who is set to hold a rally in Georgia next week and recently appeared in South Carolina.

Facts: Trump lost Pennsylvania by about 80,000 votes, but the extended time needed to count ballots wasnt evidence that the states election was rigged.
As we wrotebefore the election, it was expected that counting the mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania would extend beyond Election Day. That was due to several factors. First, Pennsylvanians voted by mail for the first time in 2020 without a specific reason, due to bipartisan legislation approved by a Republican-controlled Legislature and signed by Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf in October 2019. That legislative change, combined with the pandemic, resulted in more than 2.6 million voters casting their ballots in the 2020 general election.
My opinion then and my opinion now is that the election was not stolen by fraud, former Attorney General William Barr told the committee.
Former President Trump To Hold Rally In Nebraska
– Former President Trump is coming to Nebraska next week.
Trump is planning to hold a rally at 8 p.m. Friday, April 29, at the I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., located about 25 miles northeast of Lincoln.
The rally will feature Charles Herbster, a Republican candidate for governor who made headlines last week following accusations of sexual misconduct by eight women, including State Sen. Julie Slama of Sterling.
Trumps son, Donald Trump Jr., campaigned with Herbster in central and western Nebraska last week.
Parking for next weeks event will be available starting at 8 a.m. April 29, with doors opening at 3 p.m. Other speakers will take the stage at 5 p.m. ahead of the former president, who is slated to begin speaking at 8 p.m.

And with President Joe Bidens approval numbers hurt by high inflation and gas prices, a surge in migrant crossings at the southern border and ongoing uncertainty about the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, Trumps visit comes at an opportune time.
Or maybe they will be front and center as well. With Trump, its hard to know in advance what he may end up talking about.

Former President Donald Trump was in Wilmington, North Carolina on Friday rallying in support of Republican Representative Ted Budd in his race for the U.S. Senate.
Budd is in a close contest with Democrat and former State Supreme Court Chief Justice Cheri Beasley and his campaign had welcomed Trump as a potential boost to voter turnout.

His Visit To Pennsylvania Is A Strategic Choice
Mr Trump’s name might not be on the ballot in Pennsylvania this year, but Trumpism certainly is.
He hand-picked the US Senate candidate, celebrity medical expert Dr Oz, and endorsed the far-right election conspiracy theorist Mr Mastriano for governor after his surprising primary win.
Should his candidates prevail, the Republican Party will see it as a sign of Mr Trump’s continued dominance of their base voters.
Should they lose, however, it could indicate to Mr Trump’s potential 2024 rivals that they may have a chance at the White House after all.
Rallygoers were far more enthused about Mr Mastriano – a candidate more closely forged in the former president’s mould – than they were about Dr Oz.
The crowd roared when Mr Mastriano was brought onstage. However Dr Oz was invited to join Mr Trump onstage well over an hour into the rally.
The celebrity doctor spoke for less than two minutes, and after his remarks, someone in the back of the crowd shouted “he’s a Rino!” or “Republican in name only”, a criticism that Dr Oz is not sufficiently conservative.
Crowd Accused Of Qanon Salute
Members of the crowd at Trump’s rally have been accused of using a one-finger salute related to the QAnon conspiracy theory for the second time.
Video taken from the rally appears to show staff stopping the crowd from making the salute while melodramatic music played in the background. Rally attendees at Trump’s event in Youngstown, Ohio last weekend were accused of making the gesture, which critics have said is linked to QAnon.
Some have argued that the salute is a reference to the “where we go one we go all” motto of the pro-Trump QAnon conspiracy theory, while others say it is a reference to Trump’s “America First” slogan.
The dramatic music that played during the rally is also allegedly associated with QAnon and played at Trump’s Ohio rally and previously at his rally in Pennsylvania on September 3.

Former President Donald J. Trump is preparing to swoop into Ohio on Saturday to rally Republicans behind J.D. Vance in a key Senate race. Two weeks earlier, he did the same for Mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania.
Neither candidate invited him.
Instead, aides to the former president simply informed the Senate campaigns that he was coming. Never mind that Mr. Trump, while viewed heroically by many Republicans, remains widely disliked among crucial swing voters.
The question of how to handle Mr. Trump has so bedeviled some Republican candidates for Senate that they have held private meetings about the best way to field the inevitable calls from his team, according to strategists familiar with the discussions.
This awkward state of affairs reflects the contortions many Republican candidates are going through as they leave primary season behind and pivot to the general election, when Democrats are trying to bind them to the former president.
Trump Holding Rally In Nevada For Gop Candidates

With fewer than six weeks to go before the Nov. 8 general election, Donald Trump will hold a rally in Northern Nevada next week for many of the states Republican candidates vying for office, according to an event page on the former presidents website.
Trumps Save America rally will be held at the Minden-Tahoe Airport on Oct. 8, according to the website entry. Doors open at 2 p.m., and the event is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
Brian Freimuth, a spokesman for GOP Senate hopeful Adam Laxalt, confirmed Laxalt will be attending the rally. We look forward to welcoming President Trump back to Nevada, Freimuth said.
A spokesperson for Republican gubernatorial candidate Joe Lombardos campaign did not return a request for comment.
In a statement, a campaign spokesman for Democratic Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto whom Laxalt is running to unseat slammed the move, calling Laxalt Trumps top lackey in Nevada.
Reeves Oyster, spokeswoman for incumbent Gov. Steve Sisolaks campaign, said in a statement, Joe Lombardo is calling in backup after another abysmal week on the campaign trail where he was caught trying to rewrite his entire anti-abortion record and called out again for rising crime on his watch.

Dr Oz Shifts Strategy As Campaign Ails
I think Oz is in a pretty good position, said Rob Gleason, the former chair of the Pennsylvania Republican Party. Oz is getting around, doing his homework, doing town-to-town stuff. Fetterman isnt. Hes still wrestling with his post-stroke illness.
As for Mastriano, Gleason said he definitely has a chance because most people are going to vote against Joe Biden, but the big concern is he does not appear to be raising money.
Joe Trippi, a Democratic strategist who managed Howard Deans 2004 presidential campaign, said that Trump and Bidens upcoming visits to Pennsylvania demonstrate how tight the Senate and gubernatorial races could ultimately be or perhaps already are.
Youve got the president of the United States and Donald Trump spending a lot of time in Pennsylvania, he said. Its not because people think Mastriano doesnt have a chance.
Donald Trump: What We Learned From His Rally In Pennsylvania
Donald Trump has called President Joe Biden an “enemy of the state” at his first rally since the FBI searched his Florida resort for sensitive files.
Speaking to thousands of supporters in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, the ex-president accused Mr Biden of weaponising the FBI against him.
Mr Trump branded the search “one of the most shocking abuses of power by any administration in American history”.
He was in the state to promote two Republican candidates.
Dr Mehmet Oz is running for the US Senate, and state Senator Doug Mastriano is in the race to become Pennsylvania’s next governor.
Both spoke only briefly – as always, the rally on Saturday night was really about one person: the headliner.
Mr Trump, 76, spent the first part of his nearly two-hour speech criticising the FBI search early last month.
FBI agents conducting the search found dozens of empty folders marked as classified, and top secret files were recovered from his personal office.
Mr Trump, who is being investigated over his handling of classified records, denies wrongdoing.
The former president also returned to other familiar themes at the Pennsylvania rally: false claims that the 2020 election was stolen from him, attacks on rivals in the Democratic Party, and promises to “save our country”.
Several times, he called for people who deal drugs to receive the death penalty.

Trump Kicks Off His General Election Push
Trump was active in the primaries, endorsing candidates and joining them in person before primary days, but Saturday will mark the former presidents first general election rally of the 2022 midterm cycle.
Senate races in Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania, in particular, could help determine control of the Senate for the next two years, and each features candidates endorsed by Trump.
The former president remains very popular among Republicans, and GOP leaders will rely on him to help boost turnout.
One potential issue, however, is that Republicans have tended to underperform in elections where Trump himself is not on the ballot, such as the 2018 midterms and recent special House elections won by Democrats. Republicans hope that an active Trump in the next two months will lead to high turnout.
One former Trump campaign adviser also noted that how the former presidents preferred candidates fare could be a major factor in how easily Trump is able to clear the GOP field ahead of a 2024 primary. If several of his candidates lose and his influence appears to be diminished, it could embolden other Republicans interested in seeking the presidency, the official reasoned.
