SARASOTA, Fla. Former President Donald Trump is set to hold a rally Saturday, July 3 in Sarasota.
That rally will take place at the Sarasota Fairgrounds. It will start at 8 p.m. and the doors will open at 2 p.m.
After his rally speech, there will be a fireworks show.
We are thrilled to be hosting President Trump as he launches out on his next voyage to continue making America great, said State Sen. Joe Gruters, chairman of the Republican Party of Sarasota County. We played an important role in his election and we want to show our support for his strong leadership as president.
The Save America rally is co-sponsored by the Republican Party of Florida. Trump wrote the following on his website about the Save America rallies:

Heres How To Attend Former President Trumps Rally In Sarasota This Weekend
SARASOTA, Fla. – Former President Donald Trump will be holding a rally at the Sarasota Fairgrounds on July 3. The event is free, but you must reserve tickets via his website.
The rally is co-sponsored by the Republican Party of Florida and Save America. The event will take place at 8 p.m., but doors open at 2 p.m.
You must register for tickets via this website. You may only register up to two tickets per mobile number per event. All tickets are subject to first-come, first-served basis. The fairgrounds are located at 3000 Ringling Blvd.
State Sen. Joe Gruters, who is also the chair of the Florida Republican Party, helped organize the event. In a press release, Gruters stated, This is where he started off his rallies in Florida in 2016, its where he ended his rallies in 2016. Hes coming back to a place that loves him and has always held him in high regard.
ABC7 reached out to the Sarasota Democratic Party to see if they had a comment or had any competing events planned. So far, no one from the organization has responded.

Users on the social media app TikTok are claiming some credit for the disappointing turnout at the presidents rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, over the weekend, after a weeks-long campaign to artificially inflate the number of people registered to attend. The prank may have helped lead the Trump campaign to boast about more than a million people seeking tickets for the rally while only about 6,200 ended up filling seats.
In the weeks leading up to the rally, TikTok users started spreading the idea of registering for free tickets with no intention of going in hopes that they would take seats away from Trump supporters, and leave the president speaking to a hollowed-out stadium.
One of the most prominent posts about the prank came from 51-year-old Mary Jo Laupp, an Iowa woman who worked on Pete Buttigiegs presidential campaign.
I recommend that all of us who want to see this 19,000-seat auditorium barely filled or completely empty, go reserve tickets now, and leave him standing alone on the stage, she said. What do you say?
Laupp said she was particularly outraged by Mr. Trumps decision to host the rally in Tulsa the site of a racist massacre of about 300 black people in 1921 on , a holiday celebrating the emancipation of slaves. After initial uproar, the campaign rescheduled the rally for the day after Juneteenth.

Tickets to Trump rallies are free to anyone who wants them, but that hasnt stopped enterprising ticket scalpers in some cities from trying to make a quick buck. In Duluth, the local paper warned that an ad on Craigslist was advertising tickets for $19.99.
A similar ad was offering tickets to Trumps October 19 rally in Mesa, Arizona, on Craigslist. Sellers on Houstons Craigslist were offering tickets for between $40 and $100 for an event on October 22. Buying these tickets wont guarantee you admission to the Trump rally in those cities.
Your best bet if you want to attend a MAGA rally is to get your free tickets online, and then show up early so youre at the front of the line. For the October 19 Trump rally in Arizona in support of Senate candidate Martha McSally, at least 200 people were already lined up at 9 a.m. Two women told AZCentral theyd been in line since 5 a.m. The rally was set to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Susan Gonderson and Nicole Jaramillo came to the rally together. Both had dressed in layers, being mindful of the weather. When the sun came up it was about 50 degrees but its expected to hit 75 by the afternoon, according to the National Weather service.

For Gonderson, it was a chance to break out her American flag accessories: complete with matching shoes, earrings, a necklace, pin and handkerchief.
Jaramillo also had red-white-and-blue earrings, and a cross necklace. Shes on the hunt for a souvenir shirt, she said.
There were more than a dozen merchandise tables near where people were waiting in line. They all sold many of the same things: shirts, stickers, hats and flags. The apparel had sayings like, Lets go Brandon and Gods, guns and Trump.
Oldies blasted out of speakers just a stones throw away. Mike Brightly, who lives near Powell, said he already feels a camaraderie with the other people in line.

Charles W. Herbster was born in Falls City, Nebraska. He is an American agribusiness executive, cattle producer, political donor, and politician. During the presidential campaign of Donald Trump in the year 2020, he was an agriculture counsellor and chairman of Donald Trumps agriculture and rural advisory board.
Herbster was a Republican candidate in the 2014 Nebraska gubernatorial election and is running again in 2022. He is a Republican candidate for Nebraska governor in 2022, to displace Governor Pete Ricketts, who is limited to his term.
He also owns Conklin Co., a Kansas City, Missouri-based manufacturing company, which is structured as a multi-level marketing company. Herbster purchased North American Breeders in Berryville, Virginia in 2015.
