He Was Reportedly Arrested At A Kkk Rally In 1927

B-Magic ??

In September, a 1927 article in the New York Times was uncovered by the website BoingBoing that appears to show that Fred Trump was arrested during a KKK rally in New York.

The Times article listed Fred Trumps name and an address where he is known to have lived as one of seven men arrested in the near-riot of the parade. The men were accused of assaulting a police officer. He was eventually released from custody, according to the article.

In an interview with the New York Times, Donald Trump said the incident never happened:

It never happened. And by the way, I saw that it was one little website that said it. It never happened. And they said there were no charges, no nothing. Its unfair to mention it, to be honest, because there were no charges. They said there were charges against other people, but there were absolutely no charges, totally false. Somebody showed me that website it was a little website and somebody did that. By the way, did you notice that there were no charges? Well, if there are no charges that means it shouldnt be mentioned. Because my father, there were no charges against him, I dont know about the other people involved. But there were zero charges against him. So assuming it was him I dont even think it was him, I never even heard about it. So its really not fair to mention. It never happened.

President confirms his younger brother has died after being taken to hospital in New York

Donald Trumps younger brother, Robert Trump, died on Saturday night aged 71 after being hospitalised in New York, the president said in a statement.

Trump on Friday visited his brother in hospital after White House officials said Robert had become seriously ill. Officials did not immediately release a cause of death.

It is with heavy heart I share that my wonderful brother, Robert, peacefully passed away tonight, Donald Trump said in a statement. He was not just my brother, he was my best friend. He will be greatly missed, but we will meet again. His memory will live on in my heart forever. Robert, I love you. Rest in peace.

The youngest of the Trump siblings had remained close to the 74-year-old president and, as recently as June, filed a lawsuit on behalf of the Trump family that unsuccessfully sought to stop publication of a tell-all book by the presidents niece, Mary.

Robert Trump had reportedly been hospitalised in the intensive care unit for several days that same month. He took blood thinners and had recently experienced brain bleeds after a fall, according to the New York Times.

Both longtime businessmen, Robert and Donald had strikingly different personalities. Donald Trump once described his younger brother as much quieter and easygoing than I am and the only guy in my life whom I ever call honey.
