When Is The Next Trump Rally In Florida

Am: Ballot Counting Expected At Fairgrounds

Former President Donald Trump announces rally in Sarasota

The counting of Maricopa County ballots from November was expected to continue Saturday, the day after water leaks during an afternoon thunderstorm caused workers to scramble to protect them.

Workers quickly moved ballot boxes away from the leaks inside the Wesley Bolin Building as the rain poured outside.

Randy Pullen, representing the Arizona Senate Republicans who ordered the election review, said no ballots were damaged and they are protected from the leaks. Workers covered boxes with tarps to protect them, he said.

“No ballots are at risk,” he said.

The Bolin building is a non-air conditioned exhibit hall at the south side of the fairgrounds property near the cattle barns. It is normally used for trade shows.

The months-long review of the election began on April 23 in the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

File Former US president Donald Trump meets with Florida Governor DeSantis about coronavirus response at the White House in Washington

The inner circles of former President Donald Trump and the governor of Florida engaged in a back-and-forth war of words this week over plans for the former president to rally with supporters in the state this weekend.

The right-leaning Washington Examiner reported this week that Gov Ron DeSantiss office had made a direct plea to the former presidents camp, urging them to reconsider plans to host an event in Sarasota this weekend while the state continues rescue efforts in Miami, where the collapse of a condominium has left nearly two dozen confirmed dead and more than 100 more unaccounted for.

The former president refused, however, with one source close to Mr Trump telling the publication that Mr Trump was planning to go forward with the rally. A spokesperson added that his team was urging supporters to donate to charities collecting relief aid for families affected by the disaster in Surfside, Florida, a small spit of land part of Miami-Dade county and the larger Miami city area.

One former aide to the governor told the Examiner that it was completely tone-deaf for the former president to host a political event while state officials were rallying together to respond to the tragedy.

Trump Attracts Thousands To Sarasota Rally Urging Fight For Conservative Policies

SARASOTA In a return to campaign-style rallies in Florida, former President Donald Trump urged his supporters in Sarasota to fight for conservative policies at every level.

Saturdays Save America Rally in Sarasota attracted a record crowd to the Sarasota Fairgrounds, organizers said. The event gave Trumps most fervent supporters an opportunity to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday weekend with the 45th president and other conservative firebrands.

Together we will take back the House, take back the Senate and we will save America, Trump said.

Theres only one way to save our nation, he added. We have to work for a victory in the mid-terms next year. We have to keep fighting like we are right now.

As he addressed the crowd, Trump looked back on his record while he was president. He touted his efforts to improve the economy, secure the border and support the military.

The difference under President Joe Biden has been stark, Trump contended. Since leaving office, Trump argued the countrys status as a foreign policy leader and the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border have declined. He also denounced Critical Race Theory, calls to defund the police and Bidens proposed tax increases.

What weve done is going to get better and better. The beautiful thing is people will see how bad it can go and how quickly it can be taken away, Trump said.

Among those waiting in line to hear the former president speak was Stacey Shinn.

Former President Donald Trump will arrive at the Arizona Federal Theatre on Saturday as the state Senate continues a months-long review of the 2020 Maricopa County ballots.

Slated for attendance at the theater on Saturday included most of the Republicans competing in the 2022 Arizona gubernatorial and U.S. Senate primary races.

The event, hosted by Turning Point Action, a Phoenix-based political organization headed by conservative Charlie Kirk, will give Republicans an opportunity to pitch their candidacies.

But many of the expected thousands in attendance will want to know if Trump will run for president in 2024.

Trump will headline the event with a “Rally to Protect Our Elections.”

The Return Of The Trump Rally

Former President Donald Trump has started a series of summertime campaign-style rallies. Now that he’s out of office, what does Trump hope to gain?

What will these rallies look like?

If the first one is any indication, they will be familiar scenes. In a 90-minute speech to North Carolina Republicans at their annual convention at the end of May, Trump repeated his claim that the 2020 election was stolen from him, calling it “the crime of the century.” Trump said the 2020 vote was like a “third-world” election, even though his allegations have been rejected as false by numerous courts and Republican election officials in every red state he lost.

Did he talk about anything else?

Yes, the former president threw plenty of red meat to his base during his North Carolina appearance. He occasionally made nostalgic remarks about his four years in the White House, but spent much of his time criticizing his successor, President Biden. “The Biden administration is pushing toxic critical race theory into our nation’s schools,” Trump said. “Joe Biden and the socialist Democrats are the most radical Democrats in our nation’s history.” Trump hit on many of the themes from his 2020 Make America Great rallies, including his complaints about China, the media, and Big Tech companies, as well as the restrictions imposed to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

What does Trump have to gain from these rallies?

Why is that so important?

How many rallies will Trump do?

Donald Trump Stages Florida Rally Decrying New York Charges

Rally billed as Fourth of July celebration featuring fireworks and expected to draw several thousand in state Trump won in 2020

Donald Trump returned to the campaign stage, if not the campaign trail, on Saturday with a rally in Sarasota, Florida, condemning New York prosecutors for bringing charges against his namesake company and longtime financial adviser.

There are no national elections in the US this year but the former president maintains a grip on the Republican party ahead of the 2022 midterms and is toying with a run for the presidency in 2024, despite gathering legal problems in New York and elsewhere.

On Thursday, the Trump Organization and its chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg, pleaded not guilty to criminal charges brought by the Manhattan district attorney, regarding suspected tax fraud.

Trump used the rally to air a host of grievances, and accused prosecutors of being politically motivated.

Its really called prosecutorial misconduct. Its a terrible, terrible thing, he told thousands of supporters gathered.

Theyve mobilized every power of government to come after me, my family, my wonderful employees and my company solely because of politics, he said.

His refusal to leave the political stage is seen by many as dangerously divisive itself. Trailing coverage of the Sarasota event, Trump told supporters it could be seen on OAN and Newsmax two hard-right TV networks.

Pm: Secretary Of State Candidates: One Applauded One Booed One Absent

President Trump goes all in at Tampa rally for Ron DeSantis as Floridas next governor

State Sen. Michelle Ugenti-Rita was booed off the stage as she started to make her pitch for Arizona secretary of state. Listen up! she said, as the crowd noise began to rise.

They didnt. As she tried to plow through her stump speech, the cries of disapproval continued. She finally gave up, leaving the stage after telling the crowd that she will win the race.

Ugenti-Rita is one of three Republicans who is running for secretary of state, and all were given time to speak at the Rally to Protect Our Elections.

State Rep. Shawnna Bolick said she is running to depoliticize the office and raced through a list of election-related legislation that passed this year. Those bills passed with only Republican votes, with all Democrats opposed.

The third candidate, Rep. Mark Finchem, R-Oro Valley, was not present. Moderator Justin Olson said Finchem was in Michigan fighting for election integrity measures.

Am: Tweets Suggest A New Speaker Coming To Rally

The

A series of tweets Saturday morning suggested Michelle Witthoeft, the mother of the woman shot to death by police as she climbed through a barricaded door during the U.S. Capitol riot, will be speaking at the rally.

Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., has repeatedly suggested the woman, Ashli Babbitt, was murdered by the police officer and has sought to identify the man who shot her.

In a tweet from his personal account, Gosar on Saturday said he looked forward to meeting Witthoeft and noted, God bless you. God bless Ashli.

It was in response to a tweet from an account with Witthoefts name on it. On Friday, Witthoefts account noted that, I have been invited by congressman Gosar to speak at the Trump rally tomorrow.

Witthoefts account prominently asks, Who killed my child?

Gosar, who was a leading voice in Congress promoting the false narrative of a stolen election, also has been prominent in the effort to recast the deadly Jan. 6 riot as a peaceful protest.

Cellphone footage from those near Babbitt showed her climbing through the opening in a glass window of a door that was locked and barricaded. With dozens of rioters behind her, Babbitt continued even as police instructed the crowd to stop.

The events of Jan. 6 have become another flashpoint of partisan division.

The shifting account contributed to what some conservatives viewed as an overblown effort to blame them for the attack.
