Pool Surrounded By Loungers 24

Most of Trump International Hotel Las Vegas amenities are included in its pricey resort fee. The property’s most striking feature is its seventh floor, 110-foot long freshwater pool. There are shallow areas with in-pool loungers at both ends, and it’s also surrounded by tightly-packed lounge chairs, daybeds, and cabanas. The hotel charges a fee to use the daybeds and cabanas, and there are no real views from the pool. A free water station is situated next to pricey Trump hats, and there’s poolside snack bar serving sandwiches and finger foods. DJT is the propertys fine-dining eatery, with an American menu and happy hour food-and-drink specials. Food at both dining outlets gets only mixed reviews from previous guests.

The Former President Is Stuck With A Money

See what has happened to Trump’s DC hotel after his loss

For three years, the lobby of the Trump International Hotel Washington, D.C., was the hedonistic center of the MAGA-verse. The room glittered with chandeliers and the flashes of sabers slicing open Champagne bottles . Trumpworld luminaries like Corey Lewandowski and Sebastian Gorka schmoozed bar-side with established D.C. power brokers. Republican politicians on their way to backroom fundraisers stopped for selfies with star-struck customers swigging $9 Bud Lights. Proud Boys chatted up top presidential advisers.

Once, pictures from the hotel lobby showed Trump Cabinet members, foreign leaders, compliant GOP lawmakers, CEOs, lobbyists, Hill staffers, and the MAGA faithful.

But for almost a year now, this playground has been largely vacant, barstools unoccupied like a swing swaying in the breeze. These days, the images from the hotel that youll encounter on social media reveal still lifes of unsold booze or masked staffers celebrating their birthdays:

Generically Handsome Style With Velvety Couches Lots Of Built

Trump International Hotels air-conditioned rooms are attractive, though fairly generic for a self-proclaimed luxury property. Sure, there’s marble and wood in spades, but some of the furniture feels cheap or tired, and details like abstract wall art could be in any Marriott around the world. Expect extensive sets of built-in wood closets, tan wallpapered walls, and glass shelves adorned with art books and stylish knickknacks. Beds are either one king or two queens, and all rooms have sitting areas with velvety arm chairs and sleeper sofas. Kitchenettes are a nice plus and — while small — are impressively outfitted with Sub-Zero mini-fridges, two-burner ranges, microwaves, toasters, tea kettles, and Keurig coffeemakers with free coffee pods. Trump Dc Hotel Incurred More Than $70 Million In Losses While Trump Was President Documents Show

Trump Entertainment Resorts Installs Rainmaker Group revolution (sm ...

Former President Donald Trump racked up more than $70 million in losses over a four-year period from his Washington, DC, hotel, while publicly claiming that the hotel was making more than tens of millions of dollars, accordingtodocuments released by the House Oversight Committee.

The documents also show the hotel received millions from foreign governments in payments and loan deferral, which Trump did not disclose, raising questions about potential conflicts of interest during his presidency.

Its the first time that congressional investigators have reviewed and released details of the former presidents financial information, though the Trump Organization on Friday challenged the committees understanding of accounting and denied any wrongdoing. The Manhattan district attorney and New York attorney general investigators have reviewed Trumps financials, but none of that has been made public.

Trumps revenue from the Trump International Hotel reported in public financial disclosures dating from 2016 to 2020 totaled more than $156 million, the committee said an updated report.

But in that four-year period, Trumps DC hotel actually suffered a net loss of more than $70 million while he was president and had to be loaned more than $27 million from one of Trumps holding companies, DJT Holdings LLC, from 2017 to 2020, according to hotel financial statements the committee obtained.

CNN has reached out to the GSA and the House Oversight Committee for comment.

    China Spots An Easy Mark

Before becoming the 45th president, Donald Trumps efforts to develop businesses in China were most notable for their failures. A 2008 deal with the Chinese Evergrande Group to develop an office complex never came to fruition, and a 2012 deal with the electric utility State Grid Corporation of China to develop property in Beijing fell apart after State Grid was found to have been illegally using public land for the project. In October 2016, Chinese news media quoted Trump Hotelsformerly Trump Hotel CollectionsCEO Eric Danziger telling attendees of a hospitality conference in Hong Kong that the group was still planning to open Trump hotels in 20 to 30 Chinese cities, as well as Scionthe brand Trumps sons are planning to expandhotels in other cities. These comments showed a remarkable level of ambition given Trumps stalled efforts in China up to that time.

Indeed, Trump had tried for more than a decade to register trademarks in China to provide construction-information, essentially real estate agent, services in that country, only to be met with a series of unsuccessful rulings and appeals. Since 2005, Trump has applied for at least 130 trademarks in China, all of whichuntil recentlywere met with zero success.
