Bexar County Gop Chairwoman: I Think This Had Everything To Do With Politics

SAN ANTONIO A dispute at an auto shop over a President Trump bumper sticker is being characterized by the Republican Party of Bexar County as a politically motivated attempt to suppress a customer’s right to free speech.
But the mechanic involved tells KSAT 12 that the explanation is much simpler: the sticker was illegally placed and his request to remove it had nothing to do with politics.
The incident gained attention when the Republican Party of Bexar County posted a video on its laying out the details. In the video, County chairwoman Cynthia Brehm interviews a couple who claimed a vehicle inspector at a San Antonio auto shop made them remove their President Trump bumper sticker before he would inspect the vehicle.

The couple, Tim and Cathy Rodriguez, said they stopped at Jerry’s Auto Service on Aug. 9 and were told they needed to remove their political sticker.
“He stated that he wasn’t able to do our inspection on the vehicle until he removed the sticker off the windshield. I was shocked. I was puzzled and confused as to why he wasn’t able to do the inspection. So, quickly, I told my husband, ‘I’m just going to remove it quickly and carefully. After he’s done with the inspection, I’ll go ahead and just place it,'” Rodriguez said in the video.
Brehm wrapped up the video with a message to fellow Republicans.
Man Accused Of Placing Trump Stickers On Car Of Local Democrat Trying To Follow Her
Lawrenceville resident Sharon Wood leans on the back of her car Tuesday. Wood, an active Democrat, said a Donald Trump supporter placed I Love Trump stickers on top of stickers she had supporting Democrats while she was grocery shopping and later yelled at her and followed her as she drove away from the store.

Lawrenceville resident Sharon Wood holds an ‘I Love Trump’ sticker that was put on top of pro-Democrat stickers she had on her car while she was grocery shopping Monday. Wood, an active Democrat, said the man who allegedly put the stickers on her car later yelled at her and began following her as she drove away from the store.

Lawrenceville resident Sharon Wood is an active member of the Gwinnett Democratic Party, and she doesnt shy away from showing support for her party but she said that support led to a harrowing experience with a Trump supporter Monday.
Wood has bumper tickers supporting Stacey Abrams, Barack Obama, the Black Lives Matter movement and LGBTQ rights on her car. She even has a bumper sticker calling for President Donald Trumps impeachment.
Trumps essentially saying that people that disagree with what hes doing are un-American or traitors. I mean its not hard to figure out where this is coming from.

Gray, 84, was surprised by some of the hand gestures, honking and vandalism his stickers elicited and has since removed them.
Born in Portsmouth in 1932, Gray was trained to run communications, including Morse code, by the Air Force. He served a two-year tour of duty in Japan with the 511th Air Group in Wakkanai, arriving on Christmas Eve 1952.
